“I went here while traveling to Sunnyvale for work and went back several times. I usually get the pear&avocado salad, the Kobe burger and a Toki highball. I sit at the bar. The highball is executed really nicely, some orange and an airless giant ice cube. The salad is perfect, substantial but not heavy, nicely dressed. The Kobe burger medium is a little pink, really tasty. It’s pretty quiet during the week, staff is friendly but all business. Nice place to unwind.“

An excellent beet salad to start with, followed by this amazing artichoke appetizer. Best prepared artichoke I've ever had in my life! For my entree I had Bowl of Soul, which was like a fish stew with plenty of prawns and tender pieces of fish that I suspect might have been sea bass or cod? In any case, it was delicious! My dining partner had the Dungeness crab pasta. I had a little taste and I was blown away. If you're looking for some fine dining and an elevated experience, don't hesitate to come to Asa. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive, but didn't hover and let us chat and catch up. We had the scallops, beet salad, risotto, chocolate cake, key lime pie and then of course the drinks! Had to get the kiss the bubble drink (Instagram worthy), snow storm, kiwi do you love me, and cantarito. The meal was good, but the drinks and desserts were what we would come back for. “We love Vino Locale! Nice ambiance, great wine list, and solid snacks to enjoy. Of of the best things about Vino Locale is that the wine list isn't just the same 5 wines that you see at many other places, they offer a great variety of domestic & international wines, and treat each one well. I love the Sancerre on the menu, and appreciate that they offer 6oz or 9oz pours, half bottles, and full bottles. The Black Cabra Cabernet Sauvignon and Miraval Rose are also among my favorites. In terms of food items, I usually gravitate toward the chicken skewers are a good option and come with a few flavor/sauce options. The beet salad is good, and I often get their Brussels sprouts (know what to expect, though: they're not fried/crispy, but are tasty - served with parmesan, cranberries, almonds, and optional bacon). The cheese plates and hummus platter are also good, reliable options. Service is so friendly! They have a nice dog-friendly patio (and often have a few treats for pups), and live music most Thursday evenings.“
“I finally had the opportunity to check out Restaurant Gish! I've had the place bookmarked for a while after reading one of my friend's reviews. Due to dietary preferences (i.e. I don't eat pork), I patiently waited for a menu that didn't appear to have pork as an ingredient. The restaurant was cozy and quaint, and it's kind of in an obscure location in a strip mall. I treated myself to dinner at Restaurant Gish and had an overall wonderful experience. I made reservations for 1 at the Chef's counter. What was cool was that the other guest at the counter was also treating herself for dinner and had never been to Restaurant Gish. The hospitality of the chefs were exceptional. They were all very pleasant and personable. In addition to sharing their inspiration and ingredients for each dish, they were fun just fun to chat with. Prior to serving the first dish, one of the chefs asked about my dietary preferences. I mentioned that I don't eat pork. He pointed out how one of the sauces had a sauce base, but he said they could modify the sauce without pork in order to comply with my preference. In fact, I learned that they modify ingredients all the time for guests. I don't have to wait so long for a menu without pork next time. Restaurant Gish offered a prix fixe menu. I opted for the wine pairings, which I thought went quite well with each dish. The last two wines paired with the entree and dessert were particularly outstanding. I enjoyed everything I ate, but I especially loved the lamb.“

“If you're craving a burger this is definitely the place to come to!! SO much variety and they make their own chips and provide free pickles which are very refreshing to add to your burger!! Went here for a dinner with friends before a comedy show and I love that they're open all day so we could head over for an early meal before our 7pm show in Santa Clara! The person taking the order was so friendly and the process is so easy with the huge menus - easy to read and with SO MANY choices - burgers, salads, sandwiches, wraps, tons of sides to pick from in different sizes. And their drink selections are great - I LOVE diet dr. pepper which many places don't serve so I was super happy!!! The drinks are a self serve which is super helpful. They don't leave out napkins but servers walking around are happy to provide extra for you when you ask. So you order - get a number - find a table (which there are many options with high tops, regular seating, bar seating, outdoor seating... The food comes out fairly quickly and it's DELICOUS!! We got the ABC Burger which has avocado, bacon and cheddar cheese! My friends got it and devoured it. They said it was really good... They also enjoyed their sweet potato fries! Love the waffle shape and they had different dips they provided which were delicious. I got the Havarti Shroom! SO GOOD - especially when you add in the pickles! Hubby got the Seared Ahi Tuna Sandwich which he also devoured - having the skinny crispy fried onions provided a lot of texture and flavor. I may have to get that myself next time. And we shared a side of onion rings - crispy - wasn't oily tasty with a super light batter. For a "side" they give you a lot... I also added pics from our first visit there when they first opened. I got the short rib grilled cheese sandwich! OMG DECADENT... I LOVED that sandwich and SO filling! Hubby went completely opposite and went healthy and got the falafel wrap which he enjoyed - was light and tons of veggies with the falafel. We were craving burgers and milkshakes after a hike with our dogs so we dropped by for a quick bite. We were able to find a table outside which was great because it was nice and sunny out. We ordered the double cheeseburger, green chile cheeseburger, fries, vanilla shake, and two unsalted patties for our dogs.We thoroughly enjoyed everything that we ordered! “My husband and I visited Shoreline Lake for a quick bike ride the other weekend, and I was surprised at home much there is to do in the area! Shoreline Lake seems like a great date or lunch spot, where you can go on a hike or do an activity, and then have a snack. There was free parking in front of the restaurant, and from there we were able to unload and explore the many trails around the lake. There's seating at the restaurant both inside and outside, and picnic tables near the restaurant if you bring your own food. The restaurant also had lockers and lake equipment rentals. For lunch, I had a chicken sandwich. The baguette was nice and the homemade chips were excellent. The flavors on the sandwich were just ok for me, so I would try the veggie burger next time. My husband had the breakfast sandwich, but my favorite part of the meal was the granola he got with it! Service was a little bit slow and there's not a ton of variety in the options, but the quality is good for the price. We will be back for a date another time. It also seems like a nice place to take family or out of town friends.“

My friend got the tri-tip sandwich and greatly enjoyed it, my partner and I got a half rack of ribs with Mac and cheese and baked beans. The Mac and cheese was decent but a bit grainy, and the baked beans were mostly nice but very heavy on the cumin, and the ribs had a nice smokey flavor but you had to work a bit to get the meat off the bones. The staff was friendly and attentive, the ambiance was laid back and their tap options were excellent.“
“Came by here past week and got the hangover with a side of cheese tots This is the antithesis of healthy. Some days gluttony just takes over and who cares about the cholesterols and calories. The hangover could not be eaten by hand. I needed knife and folk to eat this thing. It's a chili burger with eggs. It was very very very good. The cheese tots was interesting. They gave me a separate cup of melted cheese. I dip the tots with it as well as pour some over my hangover burger. Now my chili burger with egg also has melted cheese. What a great idea Didn't take any photos. It was a mess. I actually couldn't finish the tots. The burger by itself is more than enough of a full meal.... need to do a couple hours of cardio to digest... Perhaps I will indulge again when I am craving in and out. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms and trio of bruschetta. Everything was really good! They have bands that play couple nights a week so it can be a bit loud inside but it's a festive environment. They are more on the pricey side with glasses of wine costing anywhere from 22.00 to 50.00! It might be better to just a bottle at that price!“

Good portion size including the sides.Lots of seating. But a little loud. And a little cold in the main hall.
