This ramen is just OK. The egg was hard boiled and over cooked, and the broth was too salty. I love the idea of a ramen shop in Sylmar, but the food is not worth what they’re charging.

First time being there and let me tell you, we got the curry one and man oh man... the flavor on that soup! It had all the right spices and hands down one of the best ramen!

A hidden gem in Sylmar with excellent plant-based options. The Ramen was SO good. I was very pleasantly surprised

Customer service here is horrible we informed the girl at the register it was our first time here so we were looking for her to guide us as far as what to order had no knowledge of the food they offer what so ever and seemed bothered when we asked her what some items were and to top it off she closed the restroom two hours before closing stating they were under staff and in the process of cleaning she made a little girl walk across the shopping center to ask for a restroom very unethical and rude then she said its a plumbing issue so what was it ?? Pluming issue or understaffed 100% do not come here stick to SILVER LAKE RAMEN. its so sad that we finally have a ramen spot in sylmar but not welcoming at all. P.S if you handling money please do not touch food if you do not wash your hands that is disgusting.

Came to Kotsu expecting great Ramen, this is what they served me, I still tried it and it tasted great, I ordered the flame it was a 5 out of 5, the service was kinda slow but overall had a great experience, will be coming back.

Honestly the food is good if you want something quick and nearby. Personally the main issue is the staff, they're all pretty young and with that comes incompetence & rudeness. I did uber eats with 2 ramen bowls and they gave my driver a door dash order with 1 bowl. My driver even went back to ask if they can remake the correct order while we were on the phone you can hear everyone in the back laughing and just not giving af... I have also dined in once and it was the same feeling of " your making me feel like shit for walking thru the door " LMAO but anyways that's all thnks for listening 2 me rant

On a random cold day I always want some tasty ramen! Since I work in the area I thought I'd try out Kotsu, where some of my coworkers say it's really good, so I gave it a shot. I ordered the creamy vegan flame which was tasty and spicy! It was really good, a nice flavorful broth with veggies but the tofu needed to be more flavorful. I also ordered the kotsu cashu rice bowl, which I must say was nasty! It had plenty of yummy looking things like pickled ginger, green onions and furikake but it had no flavor! I thought it should have had an aoli on it, but mine didn't. The bowl was a big fail! So that's a no go!The place is set in a walk way so you might miss it if you don't know and inside it seems large enough to sit and enjoy. The waiter was friendly and took care of me quickly, which I appreciate given I only get a 30 minute lunch. Anyway, try out the ramen! It's pretty tasty! Enjoy!!

Kotsu Ramen & Gyoza is a hidden gem that all food enthusiasts should discover. From the moment I stepped in, I could tell this was going to be an exceptional experience. The ramen, oh, the ramen! It was a bowl of pure perfection. The rich, flavorful broth and tender noodles were a match made in heaven. And let's not forget about their gyoza - they were crispy on the outside and bursting with flavor on the inside. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the attention to detail in every dish. It's evident that the chefs take immense pride in their craft. The service was impeccable, and the ambiance was cozy and inviting. If you're a ramen lover or just someone looking for a memorable dining experience, Kotsu Ramen & Gyoza is a must-visit. I can't wait to go back and explore more of their menu!

Completely inedible. Even for Sylmar. I couldn't get past the oily broth or the over cooked chicken. Let alone the noodles. Save yourselves the $16 and pick up a cup of noodles at the Vons next door.

Simple nonsense ramen restaurant. Food was well done, and presented. Brought the family, everything made for 8 people was good to eat.

I knew something was up when I walked in, there only one couple sitting down on a Friday night. I ordered the curry ramen with my protein chicken, to my surprise it came with only 4 chicken balls, which looked like the ones they use for the karaage bowl. The customer service was sub-par. Do yourself a favor & go somewhere else.
