The building is super cute! They recently did a remodel and you can tell! It's super adorable and quaint. So I enjoyed that! The good... The drinks!!! They are delish! Really really well done! As well as the Guac and the Salsas! They were so good we took the extra home! Yum! The staff was super nice and attentive having it be a busy Saturday night and were quick to get drinks and food items to us! Now onto the main food. The veggie tacos were straight so amazing and good! The shrimp tacos were a little sad. They had good flavor. But only 3 skrrrriiimp on a huge flour tortilla for $11 a taco... is like... uh corn tortilla could make the 3 shrimp seem like much more! The garlic ribeye was very dry like it had been sliced and just sitting out, although another friend with the same order stated hers wasn't dry at all. 4 stars because $11 for a 3 shrimp taco on a huge flour tortilla didn't fit well. Now $6-8 for that same taco. I probably would have given 5 stars. $200 tab for 5 drinks, 3 taco plates, 1 burrito bowl, chips, salsa, and guac.

Excellent lunch! Their House margarita is so fresh / delicious, matcha skillet comes out piping hot with delicious matcha, birria taco has the perfect amount of heat and so much flavor. Such a great vibe in the restaurant and such a great addition to the Tahoe community

We've been three times now and can't bring myself to order anything other than the carnitas nachos because they're SO GOOD! I've had a Ramos Fizz and Manhattan for drinks which were made very well. Not to mention the ambiance is so welcoming, warm and charming - Shadyside is now a go to every time we visit the west shore!

This place is a welcome addition to our sleepy little berg. It's noisy crowded and fun. So stay away if that's not your vibe. We had carnitas tacos (easily shared by two) and they were delicious. Second time I've been here and both times I was impressed by the food. Margaritas were made to order and the service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend for those who enjoy chatting with other locals in a fun atmosphere.

Shadyside is a new trendy restaurant that just opened and always seems packed and bustling! Unfortunately this place doesn't take reservations so it's been difficult to get seating unless you are willing to wait over an hr. We stopped by at 6 pm on a Saturday to put our name down and 4 of us were seated at 715 pm. The waiter was really friendly and helpful. For drinks we enjoyed the manhattan and margaritas. For food we got the burrito bowls. I liked the birria the best! It was flavorful and tender. The garlic rib eye was chewy and a bit overcooked. The food came out very quickly! We overall had a great experience but just wish they took online reservations!

What a find in Lake Tahoe. Atmosphere is special, staff is terrific, especially the barkeep, mescal drinks to die for. Food is not your traditional Mexican but authentic and delicioso! Viva, Shadyside! and see you again!

Went here after a few folks recommended the food. It was just me so I sat at the bar and was promptly served. I ordered the queso fundido and the burrito bowl with pork carnitas. The queso came out after my bowl which would have been nice to have first, but I understand that stuff happens. I think I was expecting the queso to be a bit thinner - it was pretty heavy, but the price was good for the amount you got. Bowl was also good - really good flavor from the dressing and I was given a good portion of protein.

Wow. We had an awesome meal - the Ribeye burrito bowl is next-level. We also got the guacamole - it was a lot of food. Ritas were righta! Our waiter was awesome - friendly and patient even though the place was crowded. We will definitely be back!
