We came on a family trip to celebrate a special birthday and were looking for a cake. Thankfully we found their delicious sacher chocolate cake! We bought the medium one for 8 people and it was great. Lots of chocolate but not too sweet. Also moist but not too moist. I’m pretty picky about chocolate cakes and I really liked it. Plus everyone else too, it didn’t last too long. They gave us a yummy raspberry sauce that is a good contrast. It goes pretty well with mango and raspberry sorbet too. I really recommend it. You can order it the day before and they can write something on it.

Amazing food and drinks. Truly amazing. But for the love of God, please sort out your defective lids. Every time I come here the lid is so low quality that it melts just slightly enough to deform from the lip of the cup and then falls off, despite having been secured firmly before, and myself and my car end up covered in my hot coffee. If your food and coffee weren't crackhead-levels of delicious I'd stop this self-defeating morning cycle.

Had excellent drip black coffee (we aren't fancy people), high quality croissants (classic plain and ham & gruyere cheese) and also obtained a Swiss confection/baked good with hazelnut and almond filling that looks scrumptious but that I haven't sank my teeth into yet. Owned by Swiss immigrants and in continuous operation since 1977, with a quaint dining area furnished with reminders of the Alps. Only wish they had a toaster oven to heat up our flaky pastries... We ended up putting them on top of the pop up toaster to at least warm them up a bit on the surface (doughy bits good but cheesy bits not as tasty gooey as I would have wished for, and putting it in the microwave would have made it soggy... sad panda!)

tiny parking lot but yummy food!! both the french onion soup and the chicken pot pie were delicious. i didn’t get any drinks (seems like it’s just dispensed by a machine) but there are tea and coffee options available. it was lovely to sit by the fire and read/relax for a bit.

I just wanted to thank Barbara and her entire team for always providing me with excellent service and terrific food! Now that I'm moving to Oregon, I will truly miss this place and will always have a soft spot for all their delicious pastries, salads, and sandwiches!! May you have continued success, and to me, one of the best places to eat along the North and West Shores of Lake Tahoe!!

This review was only for the sandwiches. If you want premade cold expensive sandwiches that taste like it’s been sitting for a while this is your place otherwise go somewhere else. And definitely not worth the $6.50 they sell it for. Would have been nice if they specified that before I ordered it. Would not come here again. Very disappointed with this place.

Went in and saw their push button coffee drink machines and left.Didn’t seem like the vibe for great coffee.

Wonderful shop, conveniently located on Seestrasse, large parking lot, beautiful outdoor terrace. We ate a very tasty pasta salad. Inside comfortable leather upholstered armchairs. Very good cappuccino and blueberry cake.

Cozy little cafe with great selection of food and great people. The soup of the day is always a hit (on this day it was mushroom and barley). desserts and baked goods are phenomenal as well. My favorite is the chocolate cookie this breakfast gem. Also had a small store where you could purchase essentials like eggs and pasta and Lake Tahoe souvenirs. They also had plenty of candy and drinks for sale. Great fresh breads and bagels as well. The ham and cheese croissant is one of the best things there and so is the chicken pot pie. One of my favorite bakeries and overall breakfast places in Tahoe.

The soup of the day, which was the mushroom and barley, was creamy and super flavorful. It is a perfect to warm yourself up on a cold day. The servers were good. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and had lots of baked goods, sweet pastries, and savory meals and breads. I also had a plain bagel with butter which was tasty and soft.Vegetarian options: Lots of the food is vegetarian, like the salads, bagels, and veggie sandwiches.
