Scott, our super friendly bartender told us that it was Monday Ramen night. The Ramen with the short rib was full of flavor and toppings. We also had the Fungi pizza which had such a great crunch crust and was also loaded with toppings. This was a great find!

Great local tavern in a cozy neighborhood in Tahoma. Pizza is delicious with doughy crust. We also had the wedge salad which was 10/10. Service was good. TVs with sports on. We came with our baby but they had a great bar to belly up to if you are without little ones. We are going back tonight!Parking: Easy parkingKid-friendliness: Very kid friendly with alot of background noise. No changing table in the bathrooms fyi.

Completely blown away. Not the experience you would expect for a pizza joint in strip mall. Spectacular, fresh, and sophisticated food served in a classic laid back Lake Tahoe atmosphere. From the meat and cheese plate to the seafood specialties everything was an explosion of taste. And don’t get me started on how good the pizza is. Could not recommend The Dog and The Bear more.

I've been now at least 5 times. The pizza is some of the best I've ever had. Last night was Mushroom Pizza add Coppa and Pepperoni. One thing that stands out is how happy the staff is, and I think it starts with the Head Chef... who always has a big smile!

We had to wait over 1 hr. This was well worth it. The service and food was amazing. Everything we ordered was to die for. I would recommend to my friends and family.

This place is DELICIOUS! fantastic pizza with GF options for everything. Service has always been top notch. Draft beer list is awesome and plenty of wine available as well. Prices are reasonable for "craft" pizza. Must get the proscuitto pizza!

Fun place with really good food. A pizza and a salad are enough for 2.

Best food on the West Shore...hands down. Creative young chef understands flavors and puts out beautiful plates. Gluten free pizza with delicata squash was amazing. Salad with Baby Kale / Arugula / Apples / Delicata Squash / Cucumbers / Black Radishes / Fennel / Blood Orange Verjus Vinaigrette / Candied Walnuts. Yum.

Exceptional dinner at The Dog & Bear tonight. Delicious dishes included Short Rib Poutine, Confit Duck Leg, and Seared Scallops. All cooked and presented beautifully. How fortunate we are to have such a fine restaurant in our little community!Good work Chefs Jesse & Kat, Courtland & Crew.

Excellent pizzas, including the option of a decent gluten-free base. The coppa truffle pizza (salami, mushrooms, parmesan, kale and truffle oil was a big hit with my partner and son). Good selection of rotating beers and a lovely atmosphere and great staff. We keep returning to this spot, even when we are staying at a different part of the lake.

Like a lot of places in Tahoe, they bring in foreign nationals on work visas, some of who have better English than others. I had a to go order for one large “Two-Cheese” pizza- a “Two-Cheese” pizza is what it’s called in the menu. The hostess, who I think was from Argentina or Spain with limited English rang up for two cheese pizzas instead- it doubled the price. I handed her my card and headed to the restroom without noticing. When I returned and went to sign my check I noticed the error. The flustered hostess got the manager who was nothing short of a jerk- seemingly blaming me and promising I’d get my money back for the other pizza. Of course it never came. They have no phone number listed to call for the public and don’t answer emails. They just seem like another Tahoe low customer service profit driven tourist trap.

Pepperoni pizza and butter lettuce salad was good for 3 meals. Pizza is overpriced and lighter on toppings than I'm used to elsewhere, but I appreciate the sourdough base. They charge 10% for any orders placed to go (have to place the To Go order in person). It's a good sized indoor gathering space for Tahoma/West Shore.
