WE WILL NOT BE COMING BACK!!I am not one to leave bad reviews for restaurants, but this first dining experience at Escondido was truly upsetting. We placed on order on the website, with ASAP pick up. When we went to the location, it was clear it was a ghost kitchen running 3 different restaurants. Upon arrival, we were not greeted by the man working. After waiting for him to acknowledge us, I said we had a pick-up order for "Lauren." He did not acknowledge what I said. Then he pointed at the stapled paper menu. I then repeated myself kindly and he came over the register...visibly annoyed. I explained we had placed an online order, then he snarkily told us to look at the menu again. I pulled up my online order and TXT confirmation and he just kind of dismissed it. I told him what we ordered...he had not made the food. He then found the printed-out ticket order in the kitchen. He did not apologize, just said to come back. We waited another 20 minutes. When we got our order he did not apologize or acknowledge the bad service. Once we got home, our order was wrong. We paid additional for Carne Asada...we were given chicken. The food looked tossed in, and we were missing the rice and beans. Food was not good quality and we felt ripped off. Truly upset by this customer service experience.

WARNING: Terrible nachos!!! I just ordered these with steak, and they are inedible. The pico and guac were very cold and separated from the nachos. I am now feeling sick. Do not order here! This is a ghost kitchen btw. Please order from another Mexican restaurant.

WHERE DO I EVEN START?! The food 10/10, the service 10/10, the vibes 10/10!!! I can't recommend the Bowls, Tacos, and Burritos enough!! I wish I have 3 stomachs everytime I order from this place -- I just wanna eat everything on the menu! Get the Green Salsa if you love spicy food, you're gonna be HOOKED! :) Plenty of free parking in the plaza btw!

Hey Escondido. I see you! So if you don't know, Escondido means "hidden" in Spanish. This is a hidden little gem. Thanks to Yelp I found it. It's almost like a ghost kitchen in the corner of a strip mall. They also have other types of food too. Let's get to the food - yummy! I ordered street tacos combo - these are much larger than street tacos. I got 4 and could only eat 2. I tried the shrimp taco - wow!!!! I wish I got all shrimp now. The al pastor on flour is delish. I saved to other 2 tacos for lunch tomorrow but tried a bite of the meats - chicken and asada. Can't wait for lunch. Get all the salsas - very flavorful. So glad I gave this a try. It's a few doors down from Grecco Pizza. Doesn't disappoint!

This restaurant is the best. Everything here is tremendous and their quality is consistent. The Escondido Burrito is my usual choice, but all items are excellent. Do not forget to try the habanero salsa.
