The food was fantastic and I went before dinner rush so it wasn’t too busy. The staff were still looking for ways to serve and clear our table of any dishes instead of standing around which some people do at other restaurants when it’s slow. The tables were pretty close together so if you don’t like having your conversations overheard this might be a tight space, but I would definitely go back for the food and the service.

Sushi is great just need to add a bit more variety to the sushi roll menu. Service is great and you can tell the locals like hanging out here.

My FAVORITE sushi spot in the valley!! The albacore sushi is always so fresh and just melts in your mouth. Do yourself a favor and get the spicy crunchy albacore roll, it's literally what dreams are made of. Thank you for always feeding us delicious goodness, will be a loyal patron until the end of time!

Came here last week after reading all the positive reviews and am always interested in finding the next best sushi spot. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed with this location as much as I wanted to love it. Granted it was a Friday night and likely a night that gets busy however when I attended during prime time, it was only around 30% filled yet there were plenty of staff which is a great thing. The issue is that two of the servers were not very responsive. We found the need to remind our server twice for most items as he was forgetting, absent-minded, or just preoccupied. Whatever the reason, it was slightly annoying to keep track of what we had ordered vs. what was delivered if at all. As far as the sushi, the quality and taste were both fair at best. The prices did not represent the quality of the fish (IOW, it's overpriced for what you're getting). I selected from the menu and went with a few items confirmed as the more popular dishes. This included a crispy rice with spicy tuna - it was fair at best. The peppers stuffed with albacore were kind of disgusting - tasted like chicken tenders. The sushi pieces themselves tasted very fishy and that included items off the specials menu which were all premium priced. I was really not impressed overall. The menu is not very robust. In Woodland Hills/Tarzana alone there are far better tasting/quality sushi joints. This is located in a really dingy valley strip mall with 7-11 as its anchor tenant. Parking is tricky and tight. I really wanted to love this place but I'm afraid that competition is too great in metro LA and granted they've been around for over 34 years, it's not an excuse.

One of the best sushi spots on Ventura Blvd! Always fresh, well prepared and delicious. Try the chefs omakase!

Anyone that gives this place less than 5 stars is a knucklehead. The halibut and red snapper sushi will make you see god.

One of the best sushi bars in LA. The only thing negative about this place is that it's open 5 days a week and only dinner time no lunch which is surprising as it's so good.

Definitely recommend this establishment. We did the omakase which was excellent! All the items were extremely fresh. I would definitely rate this "spot" at the top of my valley sushi list.

I was hankering for some stuffed squid Sushi spot has been you go to for such a dish. This time out it was lackluster. The place was really slow/ empty. It was mid week though. The service was spot on as I ordered to-go. The squid was ok. Not as fresh as usual. It was still very good and my desire for a bite of squid was satisfied I'll probably give them another chance in the future.

Great sushi and people are nice. Portion was kinda small but honestly with the quality that was given out, but I don't mind. Would totally buy the albacore salad again Unfortunately, didn't take any pictures because I'm new to yelp :)

I have been here a couple times, and they always have good quality and lots of choices.... And always always fresh..... located in the shopping center. This place has been around for 34 years so very consistent and professional service and very attentive and the quality ingredients with the fresh fish is always on point.... I sat at the sushi bar and I left it to the chef with a Omakase and everything was delicious because Sushi is all about quality..... price was very reasonable and it was well worth it so keep up the good work and I will be back and Arigato

Been a fan for 20+ years. Just go. Other 'best of LA' sushi is mostly about the venue. This is 100% focused on the fish. Quality is absolutely tops
