7 of us ate there tonight. Most ordered price fixed 5 course meal. The meal was excellent. I had rib eye steak, smashed potatoes, mixed veggies. Plus cheese and fruit plate, salad, the didn't have soup but pasta with tomatoes and cheese which had a Smokey smell to it. Steak looked it was sous vide and seared to perfection. Same color throughout for a seared edge covered in a balsamic glaze. This is a small restaurant and its is highly recommended to make reservations. If you are looking for impressive atmosphere stay in vegas. This place doesn't look like much. But food was most excellent and staff very attentive. Tonight price died was $110 and rib eye was $50 for 1lb steak. There are a couple cheaper dinners but if you're making the drive then it's worth the price. Oh yeah. They are only open October-May from 5-8. Plan accordingly.

Absolutely loved this restaurant! Best steak my husband & I have had in years! Joe does an awesome job & the staff is great too! It's a small place so I suggest making a reservation but it is worth the drive! So glad we tried it!

Small place--cozy. Call for reservations because the secret is out about Eric's fantastic cooking. Steaks are fantastic and the trimmings and desserts are excellent.

Outstanding gourmet steak dinners and in one of the most unlikely places you'll ever find. Pricey for sure but absolutely worth every penny and tastier than a lot of high end restaurants I've dined at in Vegas or anywhere really. You should be warned that the ribeye is enormous and if you can find the room in your stomach, the 5 course meal is the way to go. If you can only handle a smaller meal, get the 6oz filet as it's more reasonably sized and something most people can finish. The date cake is a must for desert too. I should note that they did move to a bigger location by the hot springs (this as opposed to the old cabin and deck on the edge of town they got started in) and that does make it easier to come with friends. Of course, it still has the same kitchy feel and that's a big part of what makes this place so much fun. I highly recommend this place for anyone coming to the hot springs or even to Death Valley.Vegetarian options: This is NOT a place to come if you're looking for a vegetarian option. The menu even states as much.

It is a small place so reservations are recommended. They take your name during the call but when you walk in and say you have reservations you are grilled on everything but the name given during the reservations. Just a bit odd. We did not have the excellent experience others talk about. The filet was cooked to medium rare perfection and seasoned well. The ribeye was charred and overcooked. The side veggies were over salted and mush. The fruit and cheese platter had some fun purees. Basically, overall it was disappointing for the price.

Heard about this restaurants from friends, so when we made a visit to Death Valley and stayed in Tecopa we made a reservation for 7pm and was excited about our dinner. We showed up just before 7 pm & was asked if we have reservation, since they only have 6 tables you need one, we were showed to our table for 4, at first we did notice it was on the hot side in the room, it's a small room so with about 20 people inside, it was sort of stuffy, AC would be nice, but we ordered drinks ($8 for a glass of wine, which was a great pour! so worth it) We ordered the $110 prix fix dinner for 2 which included: a Cheese Board for 2 (sorry no pics, we were so excited we just started eating it) but it was wonderful with apples, blueberries with an apple butter and honey sauce, 3 different cheeses and bread. Next came a salad for each person, so fresh and a wonderful dressing, on to the soup but they ran out (we were the last seating of the day) so they served us a pasta dish..now I am not sure who got the better deal, the soup people or the pasta people BUT I will tell you it was the best pasta I have had in a long time! Next came the steak, for the prix fix you get one steak with mashed potatoes and veggies for 2, which after everything I just ate was fine! the steak was cooked perfect!! there was a sauce on it (not sure what it was) but it was excellent! Potatoes and veggies again were great. We finished with the Chefs choice for dessert, which was a Date Bread (from China Ranch) with a wonderful cherry sauce and vanilla ice cream, I shouldn't have eaten it but it was so, so good you just had to finish it! Even though the kitchen was very busy, Chef Eric found time to come out to each table and make sure everything was okay!, the person helping him (sorry we didn't get your name) was excellent and always there if you needed something. We will go back to Tecopa just to eat Steak and Beer and if you are in the area make sure you go!! But from what we hear they are closed from May to October because of the heat out there, so make your plans wisely.

We love this restaurant, it is a gem! We love the breakfast and dinner. The steaks are better than Las Vegas' steakhouses. The date dessert, the veggie omelet...The chef personally welcomed us when we returned, we felt like family. We look forward to returning.

We absolutely love coming to this place. The staff are incredible and friendly and the food is better than a fancy Vegas restaurant. It’s obvious that the chef and his crew take pride in what they do.There’s even breakfast which is next to impossible to find in Tecopa. And it’s delicious ?Sorry about the half eaten breakfast. We thought to take pictures after we’d eaten it ??‍♀️Do go! You won’t regret it!

The owner has some anger issues. I was just parking there in front of the restaurant minding my business and using the wifi.

this place is such a wonderful find. If you are a meat eater, you cannot go wrong. The menu is simplistic. But the food is stellar. The chef comes out and actually takes your order. the chef has a wonderful guy who is the host. Just perfect combination. We feel very fortunate. We got to eat there for two nights in a row.

Nice place and one of the only places around for a long ways to stop for a bite to eat.I highly recommend a reservation. There are only 5 tables inside, and the bar. There were tables outside but only indoor seating available for dinner. My friend and I each ordered a burger, mashed potatoes, a salad, one beer and two waters.I ordered my burger well done and my friend ordered medium well. Both burgers arrived well done.He was not very happy with his dry burger and when brought to their attention- no compensation was offered. I think for $22 a burger, they could have offered to remake it or comp his beer at least. For me, the food was decent. The salad was delicious. I appreciated the seasoning- but way too salty for me.I believe the bill was $70 plus. There's an RV/ hotel hot springs next door that I will definitely be visiting if I ever return to the area.
