We recently visited this restaurant and were very excited to enjoy our evening of food, wine and music. This didn’t happen. We were seated at a table near the kitchen. It was chilly and we asked for the heater above our table to be turned on. Nothing happened. We asked again and were told it was just installed and not connected. We asked to be moved. Nothing happened. Our food came so we ate while cold. We asked a third time to be moved. We were told they would bus the table next to us and move us. We waited, ate, waited and at the end of our meal were finally moved under a heater before desert. Very, very disappointing experience. Apparently, customer service is not a priority.

Lovely setting. We were 10 seated at one long table at 10am. Not crowded at all and service was very attentive. Had the eggs Benedict with bacon instead of ham. It was fair, the hash browns were blah. Wish restaurants would heat the plates when serving like I do in my own home. Coffee was good and they brought a carafe just for me.

Had been to Ponte for our 50th anniversary, wanted to go back to get a quick meal before a concert at Thornton Winery. Arrived about 5:00 and were seated outdoors under a patio cover with water misters going to cool things. Joey was our server, friendly and professional. Complementary bread with shallot (?) sauce was very good. Had two salads, one with chicken and one with steak. We were done by 6:15 with plenty of time to make the 7:00 event.

My mother and I went out for lunch. The food was on point, and so was the service. Great weather and great company make a beautiful day?

Excellent food and the views and gardens were just beautiful. When we return we will stay at the gorgeous Inn.

By the time we got here about lunch time three of us were quite merry as we had swilled seven glasses of wine each at a nearby winery (think it was Wilson’s) starting at 10am. Two of our party remained sober to drive two vehicles. Ponte was a superb place. We had wonderful breads to begin with - with very good wine. The whole area is beautiful and calming. The restaurant had a good crowd dining, despite it being early on a weekday. The main course that attracted me was the sautéed shrimp, scallops, clams, mussels, baby spinach, heirloom tomatoes, linguine and a lemon caper sauce and it was fabulous. Of course it was necessary to consume lots more white wine - it aids digestion after all. I must have a heck of a digestive system. Good food, good conversation and great company was making this a lunch to remember while the free-flowing wine and persistent encouragement from our non drinking drivers was threatening to make it a lunch we wouldn’t remember much. I’m also around long enough to know that by the time we would get back to San Clemente the rest of the evening would be a blur so time became irrelevant. I must concede that I had dessert, I mean the Ecuador guayaquil chocolate souffle, with vanilla crème anglaise, chocolate sauce, and fresh berries positively had my name on it. And of course despite being truly delightful it needed paired with suitable wines - it would be a sin not too. The staff were caring and genuinely good folks but I was drifting lethe-wards by the time someone said espresso. The next I knew we were at the electric gates of our San Clemente beach house and our drivers had stopped at Chaupain French bakery in town and presented us with a box of goodies to see us through the evening saying as we parted company - see ya 9am for breakfast. I do know that sometime that evening we sampled the goodies with a good glass of Irish malt whiskey each put the world to rights and by 8:30am the next morning we were ready to ramble. I would return in a heartbeat.

We shared a delicious dinner of mussels, salad, and fried Brussels sprouts. The service was lovely but it was bit chilly on the patio on a breezy March evening. The wines were fantastic.

Excellent food, we had pizzas, which were delicious, crispy and flavourful. Cioppino was delicious, lots of garlic, and bread. The covered outside area was a little basic but the staff was friendly and made up for the lack of ambiance.

The Restaurant at Ponte was lovely! We sat outdoors, under a tent. They had warmers available for chilly evenings. The food and drinks were very good. Prices are on the high side but we split a couple of dishes and it was enough. The best part was staying nearby on the property and walking there and back to our room in just a few minutes! We ate at Bouquet, their other restaurant the following night and we both like The Ponte restaurant better.

We visited in the early afternoon. The menu is quite extensive compared to the foold offerings at other local wineries. The Calamari, salmon cakes, ans mussels were all very good. Our water was very helpful. Wines good. A fine meal although a bit pricy.

As longtime members of Ponte Winery, we've enjoyed Ponte's Restaurants on many occasions. On our latest visit to the Restaurant at the winery, the staff was extremely professional and welcoming...as always. They work hard to provide a very positive experience. Unfortunately, however, the food just wasn't up to par on the latest visit. We ordered Filet Mignon but were both disappointed with the quality of the entrees; perhaps the restaurant supplier has changed or changed the product it delivers. The meat was disappointingly tough and had no real taste. We'll probably stick with the Charcuterie board in the future as that seems to be consistently pleasant.

Lovely setting but the strangest gnocchi I've ever had. Very large pieces that I'm not convinced were cooked all the way through. The pumpkin cream sauce was a great idea but lacked flavor, and as much as I love cauliflower, I would have cooked them more. My husband had the sea pasta, which was pretty to look at but always lacked flavor.

Visiting Murrieta, I asked the breakfast bistro staff where I'm staying for some fine dining recommendations. The Restaurant at Ponte was one of the recommendations. It was delightful. I asked my waiter to basically choose my flight of wines. I told him what I like and he asked a few questions and it was so lovely. My friend also was so happy with his recommendations. Beyond that, the food was delicious! We loved it!!! Bought each a bottle of wine that was our favorite from the flight!
