I never thought to search for a fried fish spot in the Temecula area. I know, I'm a hipster from LA. Forgive me. I was initially looking for a Jollibee-tier spicy fried chicken sandwich. I know, a tall order at that price point, but I had hope. Fresh Hot Fish popped up in the search. I saw my folks co-signing that this spot fried southern style by way of Los Angeles... basically, fry techniques maybe two or three generations removed from the South with local innovations and losses. So I decided to spend a hot summer afternoon at this spot. The spot is a tent in the parking lot across from Lucille's BBQ. Outdoor, shaded seating available, which was comfortable enough on a 90 degree day to read a book. Ordered the Red Snapper Nuggets with their original fries, which comes with a side of hush puppies and cabbage salad. Every item was delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive. I found the portions generous, but the food was so damn good that I finished the plate on general principle. Crispy fish that is perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Fries are perfect for my taste, like a really high quality Rallys style fries but not false colored and salted to oblivion lol. Hush puppies were small, which I prefer, because they can be fried really crispy and maintain a moist center. They not dry y'all. Got onion and a little herbs in there. Bomb. Washed it down with a Coke as my doctor prescribed. I had time to lean over for a minute while reading and went for a short walk... to get ice cream. All that nutrition had me satisfied as hell. Definitely recommend you try this spot. My bad on a picture. I took a mid-went-in-on-it-already picture, which ain't for public eyes.

Finding places that serves amazing fried fish is hard to find. Although more and more business are getting on the trend for Plant Base it's nice to have a place in Temecula with reasonable prices delicious mouth watery tasty fried Cat fish nuggets , shrimp or snapper top it with seasoned fries and your tummy will scream YUMMY. Just the correct amount of seasoning for the fish as well as the fries. Not in the mood for seafood get some fried chicken. Don't want a fish plate? Have some tacos or a sandwich. Don't forget to leave room for dessert. Peach cobbler or sweet potato pie and your taste buds will thank you. The owners Anthony & Oscar are very nice. The ambiance is perfect. Different genres of Music plays on Friday -Blues, Sat -jazz and Sunday -Gospel.The only bad thing I have to say "they're only open Fri-Sun from 11-7. Don't skip out on trying them you will not be disappointed!!! Your tastebuds will scream for more and please don't slap yo momma bc that's how good it is!

This food truck is a vibe. The music caught my attention because praise God! It always seemed to have customers ready to order so I knew I would be missing out on something good if I didnt give it a try. It was no disappointment!!! The hush puppies are great, im really hard to please with those. I got fried shrimp and my husband got fried catfish, both were great. The fries are to die for and are my kids fav, they are seasoned so well. The desserts are my husband fav. The hospitality by the owner is unmatched. Im choosing this over Red Robin across the way any day.

This place is BOMB !!!! ... and worth the calories I got both the catfish and red snapper combos and mannn when I say I haven't had food catfish since I lived in LA I mean it !!!! Go find them gem outside the Temecula mall. That sweet potatoe pie was good too!!!

I've been wanting to try FHF for a while now. It's at the mall in the parking lot, across Lucille's, Service was friendly and hospitable. I ordered the catfish combo, it comes with fries, salad, hush puppies, catfish nuggets, hot sauce and ketchup. The food was delectable. We loved the fries, they were all crispy and not greasy at all. The catfish was delicious. We sat outside, there are outdoor dining tables and seating with shade. We really enjoyed the wonderful food and the beautiful outdoor dining experience on a gorgeous day. The owner was really kind and asked how we like the food, which is very thoughtful, he takes pride in his cuisine. We will be back, we want to try the peach cobbler pie next time!!!!!

Let me start with Wow! We came up to the stand when they were closing but Oscar welcomed us over anyway and my goodness I am so happy he did! He was so kind and pulled a heater over to a table while we waited for our food. Loved the classic r&b music playing, it was such a vibe. The fried okra was perfectly crispy, the catfish nuggets and catfish sandwich had a nice spice with a little heat. But omg the peach cobbler and sweet potato cobbler pie!? *chefs kiss* it's hard to find a solid cobbler with the perfect amount of crust and this hit all around. We can't wait to come back here and try more items from the menu! Thank you again Oscar!!

I wanted to support the business so I bought a sweet potato pie, a slice of peach cobbler, a side order of wings & catfish nuggets--almost threw my Lucille's away it was so good. Everything looked clean and everything was prepared in plain sight while soulful tunes played on radio.The owner helped me & made me feel like I was at home.The wings were barely breaded if at all & the flavor was perfect! The catfish may have been some of the best I've had. The sweet potato pie was amazing but it was the slice of cobbler that blew my mind!Check out the schedule!I definitely recommend!

This little food truck is a gem and everyone will truly love it once they find it. The owner/operator is so friendly and loves what he does. We highly recommend the catfish and okra. The fish is light and flaky with a very fine crust. The peach cobbler is the perfect finish to the meal. Even with limited days you have to find the time to try this food. The music is great too.

Stumbled across a great find today at the Temecula Promenade mall. It's called Fresh Hot Fish! A wonderful gentleman is serving up a variety of southern comfort treats at his freestanding pop up kitchen. Currently he's located right next to Red Robin. The music is cranked up and the food is on point! He's here Fridays through Sundays and if you're in the area stop by! I had the red snapper nugget combo with fries, hush puppies and coleslaw. It hit the spot!

The food is on point! I had the catfish meal and it's actually taste better than Louisiana Fried Chicken's cat fish in the city. The price is right and the portions are appropriate. The special sauce for the fish is better than tartar sauce. My wife enjoyed her red snapper and we both enjoyed the peach cobbler. The peach cobbler look real sweet to the eye; however, it is just right! I will be returning to try his fried chicken wings.

The special sauce for the fish is better than tartar sauce. My wife enjoyed her red snapper and we both enjoyed the peach cobbler. The peach cobbler look real sweet to the eye; however, it is just right! I will be returning to try his fried chicken wings.
