I very seldom put reviews for a business until after I have tried their products. However, 1914 truly has the kindest staff and owners. I spoke to both Mark and Lorie who have been above and beyond accommodating. They have some stellar reviews and I can certainly see why.

I cannot recommend 1914 bakery enough! We used them for my daughter's wedding in October and were beyond satisfied. Linda was extremely helpful during the cake tasting appointment. She helped us figure out how many additional pastries to order without being pushy or trying to sell us more than we needed. Do yourself a favor and add the gelato cart! It was a big hit with our guests. Not only were the cake, pastries and gelato delicious but 1914 went extra mile to ensure a smooth delivery after the wedding venue was changed at the last minute. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

You need to go out of your way to find this bakery, since they don't have a "store front". That being said, IT'S WELL WORTH THE "TROUBLE"! My wife & I grew up on Long Island and are used to eating the best Italian food and pastries in America. A friend told me about 1914 Bakery and their cannoli. When I called them, the guy on the phone asked me if I was going to serve them the same day. I told him they were for Christmas Eve. He said "Then you're going to need the kit". What that means is that cannoli that are pre stuffed get soft and soggy, so I immediately knew he knew what he was talking about. I ordered a dozen of the minis (that's the only size they sell - great to give 1 to each person). I picked them up the next day. The kit has 12 shells, 3 small cups of mini chocolate chips, crushed pistachio nuts and powered sugar. The filling was already in a piping bag! Being from NY, I'm a bit jaded, but these cannoli are as good as NY cannoli! If I could give them more that 5 stars, I would. I'll be ordering another kit for NYE!!!

Pastries were gobbled up quick! (Advice, order more than you thought! We ran out.) Cake was delicious and delivered as designed/scheduled. Storefront is a little lackluster. Appointment only is fine but not necessarily a celebratory vibe. Felt a little bit like we were working for them. Ultimately it's about the product and they have excellent product!

They made the most spectacular wedding cake for our wedding day! Each layer was customized as we had asked and it was absolutely stunning and everything we imagined. The mini desserts were incredible and they were so delicious. They provided a lot of variety for the mini desserts that everyone raved about. I couldn't have asked for a better dessert vendor for the wedding!

We also catered tiramisu cups and cannolis and there wasn't one left at the end of the night! If you're looking for a bakery for your wedding or any event, I highly recommend them!

Enjoyed having gelato truck at a friend's wedding last night. You guys were incredible. The gelato was some of the best I have ever had (I am an expert) and the service was excellent. Only potential issue / room for improvement (1) not having enough servers/scoopers when rush of people happened, though that was only an issue for like 5-10 minutes and (2) not having a tip jar for the excellent server. Great selection, great flavor, great service.

1914 catered dessert for our wedding in Temecula, July 2023. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!From the beginning, Linda and team were responsive and super helpful. Linda walked us through all of their amazing options during our tasting appointment, and guided us in choosing our pastries. I called/emailed them multiple times before the wedding to ask questions and make adjustments... each time, the team at 1914 was professional and gave us what we needed.Day-of delivery was seamless; the desserts were on the tables and in our guests' mouths before we knew it! In addition, when there was a miscommunication and we weren't able to freeze our wedding cake, 1914 worked with our venue to get us a replacement cake within hours.Overall, 10/10 recommend.

We are a Italian family from San Pedro, CA. My son was getting married at Callaway Winery inTemecula. My son and daughter in law really wanted Italian pastries at there wedding and not knowing the area we had no clue for bakeries that made Italian pastries. I did some research and discovered Gruttadauria's-1914 bakery. After reviewing reviews and photos I was amazed with there pastry displays. I will say that photos do not show justice on how amazing they taste. The cannoli's are so good it reminded me when I was in Palermo Italy. Not to mention all the other pastries were amazing as well. Mark and Linda were amazing to work with, since living out of the area they made it very easy to coordinate our event. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Thank you Mark and Linda for the beautiful pastry bar that gave us so many compliments from our guests.

Had our wedding cake tasting appointment this morning and Linda was so helpful and lovely. We had a lot of cakes to taste and gelato and sorbet and pastries! Everything we tried was fantastic, it was so hard to choose just 3 cake flavors!! Truly appreciated all of Linda's help, experience and knowledge of the wedding industry. She made our hour long appointment so easy and fun and packaged all of our treats that we couldn't finish so that we could bring home with us.Really looking forward to our wedding so we can eat the delicious treats and can see their cute wooden pastry displays that we are renting for our event in action!!
