This place Sucks!?

I believe Bay Garden Café is underrated for its authentic Cantonese food and HK café cuisine. Despite being around for over 6+ years, the place doesn't seem as crowded as it used to be. They offer a great selection of Cantonese dishes, and their service is consistently fast. The pricing is very reasonable considering the generous portions of food you receive. The dishes are authentic, flavorful, and made with fresh ingredients. However, I must deduct one star due to the very dirty restrooms and old glasses/dishware.Quick tips: Parking is available right behind the restaurant, which is shared with other shops in the same plaza. Street parking is also an option. They offer a lunch special from 8 am to 3 pm daily at a very reasonable price. While many people may be drawn to the new Alice’s Kitchen (one of the best HK cafés in the area) across the street, I encourage giving Bay Garden Café a try if you're looking for something different. You might discover something you like even better at Bay Garden Café.

Met friends for family-style dinner. Service is exceptional, food is prepared fresh and tender. Beef fried rice, ribs, beans, etc were all good.

This the worst place I have ever eaten, the rice noodles are overcooked and there is no way to pick them up and eat them with chopsticks.

Best lunch special menu even on a Saturday, affordable eats for great Cantonese favorites. Tea and rice was included too so you didn't have to pay more, very reasonable. Service is efficient and even at 2pm an hour before lunch special cut off time. Cooks were winding down and getting ready to have their own lunch but we still got our food out in a timely manner. It seems the community is close knit after a large table party celebration of a birthday happened, they gave their extra cake to the cook's table. It's just so fun to see customers that are like family. Food was great not too greasy which can be a problem with going out to eat. Dishes were flavorful with the right amount of salt. A family favorite spot to eat. Seriously check out their lunch menu!

This Cantonese restaurant is unique in the sense that it does not offer free tea like other non-dim-sum restaurants. I saw there were tea pots in the neighboring tables so I thought it would provide one to us for free. And I told the server to give us a pot of tea. Instead she gave us two cups with tea bags, which obviously are not free. Then she told us the customers at the two other tables brought their own tea leaves with them. However the pot of hot water is free. I have never seen a Cantonese non-dim-sum restaurant encourage customers to bring their own tea leaves. An old guy was leaving the restaurant when a server stopped him for under -paying. Apparently he did not wait for the bill and just left money he thought was enough. What he missed was the charge of the cup of tea - $2.85. He said " I have never seen a (Cantonese) restaurant not offering free tea ". I certainly agree. Dim sum restaurants may charge something like $2 per person for tea, but it is generally accepted that non-dim-sum restaurants offer tea for free.

I usually come here for breakfast and occasionally for lunch with my mom and son. My son loves their macaroni soup they give during breakfast & my mom loves their eggplant with salted fish dish. I always ordered the wonton noodle soup for breakfast. Everything is standard and good enough! Nothing to complain about. Prices are good and service is nice!

Slow and inattentive despite having so many employees that walk around. Was pointed to a direction for seating and had to ask for menus. We also had to flag down 3 people in order to get our order in. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because at least the food is decent with ok pricing. Don't recommend if you don't have TIIIIIME to spend waiting.

Classic Cantonese cafe with a large variety of Asian and western style dishes. Seating is comfortable and spacious, and prices are extremely reasonable for Temple City. Food was pretty good, would recommend their Cornish hen special. Service, however, is inconsistent. There are a few folks who were kind and efficient, but it took us a good 10-15 minutes after we got seated to even be offered tea and water. Would've given this place 4 stars for food, but at the end of the meal the manager came and grabbed the credit card receipt and stopped to check to make sure we tipped enough and then walked away without even a thank you. Talk about appreciating your customers! There are lots of other good Cantonese restaurants in the area so I'll consider those first the next time I'm in the area!

Healthy options. I love their porridge & simple fried eggs, so fluffy and yolks are wet how I like them (; everything I ordered cooked to perfection. I'm not sure I'd order anything else though lol nice customer service - I felt welcomedDietary restrictions: No MSG in the porridge ????
