Orders are placed at the counter, and food is brought to the table. The pastrami and chicken shawarma sandwiches were OK. The pepperoni pizza was better.Food is prepared after ordering, so it has not been sitting around. The atmosphere is like a convenience store that has been mostly emptied and a few tables added. There are a couple of tables on the front porch. The restroom is functional though lacking in supplies and cleanliness.

Great Mediterranean food! Very authentic and I prefer this restaurant over any other Mediterranean food in the county. Great pizza and Gyros!

I have tried most of the Greek places in SLO County as well as a couple in Minneapolis, Atlanta, and NYC. Templeton Pizza and Greek Food has the best dolmas and falafel I have ever had. And their pizza is great too. Good crust. Good ingredients. Highly recommended.

We arrived just after they opened. They seemed surprised to see us. No one else came in during the entire time we were there. The gyro meat was dry and tastedas if it came frozen in a box, not made at the restaurant. I guess they mostly sell pizzas. Maybe the pizza is good. I don't recommend the Greek food.

After several friends insisted we try the hot pastrami sandwich at this hole-in-the-wall pizza place in downtown Templeton, we finally relented ... and I'm really glad we did. This is not your usual hot pastrami on a french roll, it's served Gyro style on a folded pita (tasted homemade) with tzatziki (I think), lettuce and tomatoes. Okay, but why so good? The pita is fresh, soft and flavorful, not that dusty stuff you get at the store. The pastrami is lean and tender with crispy, caramelized edges and there's plenty of it. The lettuce is crisp, the sauce freshly made. Just a really good sandwich. And just as an aside - they make their falafels fresh and are really yummy too.

I can't claim to be a connoisseur of Mediterranean food, but I love it and have eaten it both at many restaurants and homemade by my half-Greek sister-in-law. This was some of the best I've had. The kofta was flavorful and cooked to perfection with a slightly crisp crust. (If they prepare falafel that light inside and that crisp on the outside, it must be wonderful.) The dolma were fresh and delicious. The fresh-made tzatziki was light and not too cucumber-y. And the baklava! It was stuffed with a big layer of nuts and honey - maybe 2-3 times as much as usual IME. The owner (I assume) was happy to substitute a different meat combo than on the menu, so I had chicken shawarma and kofta. The only downside was no pilaf, but the plate included nice portions of a lettuce/tomato salad, the tzatziki and hummus, a large pita, and the two meats. Service was slow, but they were busy. The pizza coming out of the oven looked every bit as good as the Mediterranean food. If we're back in the area, we'll definitely want to go again.

Place is old and sorta tries to be a pizzajoint that offers Greek food. Had the Gyro and it was good but made with frozen meat. No water, they make you buy a bottle...not good PR.

Absolutely The Most Delicious Hot Pastrami Sandwich with a twist. It's made with a yummy home made Pita Bread and be sure to get it with everything . I ordered it the other day for the first time and ordered 3 more the next time I was in town. Deff my Fave. Rae
