We were off-roading for Tierra Del Sol and needed real food. Not many options in Salton but luckily we turned off the highway to find Rancho 86z. We had a wonderful experience here. The steak was great and it was a great vibe with Mexican soccer on TV. Very kid friendly.

We went on a hike at painted rock and after 4 hours of hiking we stopped in here for a nice wind down dinner with a cold michelada! Loved the "hole in the wall" place and honestly it brought me back to sitting in my grandmas kitchen with the best home made cooking. The carne asada fries and burritos were amazing and you can't find places like this in popular areas. Prices were great. Definitely add it to your list to try!

Be careful with what you eat in this place, I bought pizza and they sold it to me raw, I ordered vegetables and they taste horrible like freezer food, this is not "Authentic Mexican" food as they say, be careful

I love this little restaurant. The food is always great! It should definitely get more action then it does! & The man that works inside is always so polite & gets you exactly what you order! & He's extremely fast! The prices aren't bad either! && There's a pool table! Love it! Also this place is kid friendly & it can easily accommodate a big group of people!Kid-friendliness: Definitely a kid friendly place!Parking: Right in front of the place there's a good amount of open space for parking & on the side & directly across the street there's a bunch more open space!

Good food and freezing cold beer! Was an easy stop to get out of the hot car, have some real food, and get that frosty beverage that brought me back to life!
Very affordable Mexican food it's ran by a one hard worker so you have to respect that the quality of the food is very authentic tacos are very yummy ,even the pizza taste very good I recommend for any one wanting some quick simple Mexican food and maybe a beer since it has a very nice large bar perfect ambiance for relaxing and watching the game

This place is right off the hwy and easy to get to although the name is not visible anywhere on the building. The food was good. The pizza was the best pizza ever, so cheesy, and well put together according to my kids. The service was pretty fast despite there only being one person there. Only thing we would have liked is for the nachos to have came with all the normal toppings for a Mexican eatery... beans, shredded cheese tomatoes onions guac... u know the food stuff but it was just carne asada and nacho cheese.
