Absolutely one of my favorite Italian restaurants! All the way back when I was 17 my mother would take me here for mother daughter date night and then I now have my husband take me here!

This has always been our favorite restaurant. A few months ago we had a so so experience. Weren't able to get our waiter's attention as he was chatting forever at the back of the restaurant. Oh well, things happen. Returned last night and were so disappointed. Started off on the wrong foot when we were told the delicious dipping sauce for bread had been eliminated. Ordered calamari, our favorite appetizer. It was as good as ever, but the portion was much smaller. Waited too long for the salad we love to be served. Finally, the waiter approached our table, but he was bringing our entree. Totally forgot the salad. We will have to think seriously about returning.

It is very good authentic Italian food. I’ve had a couple of meals here and they both tasted great. However, they don’t have a very large menu and there were only a few things on the menu that sounded good. It’s also one of the few places I go where none of the appetizers sound too appetizing. It’s not that I think the food will taste bad, it just doesn’t excite me and make me interested in ordering it. The staff is very attentive and helpful. It’s a great restaurant, I just wish they had more things in line with my tastes.

I came here last night for dinner without reservation for two. It was very busy but the service was top notch. Two servers paid attention to us. We thought the dinner was so reasonably priced even after ordering two wines, two appetizers, and two main courses that were filling and delicious (~$160). Great local spot for authentic Italian food and great service. It’s a nice place to spend dinner evening without feeling rushed.

Best Italian restaurant in town. The food is authentic and very well cooked. The calamari looks like other typical Italian restaurants but don't let it fool you. The taste is exceptional. And it pairs well with the sauce too. My wife got a tagliata di manzo. The truffle oil on thinly sliced pieces of steak is a genius creation. I got a ossobuco which came with well flavored risotto and tendered veal.Overall, highly recommended place. The service can be a little slow but relax, take a sip of wine and dine like You're in Italy. Food will come out eventually.

First time trying this spot. The waitress staff was friendly and nice. I wouldn't return here to eat again. Service was very slow for a not so busy place. Our order was wrong after waiting a good amount of time to receive or food. Once we received the Foos it was still wrong. Then the bill was over charged and took awhile to fix. I'll probably go up the street to olive garden next time for the same price.

Started going to Marcello's over 30 years ago when I moved to TO. And even though I have moved away, I always make sure to make reservations when I'm in town. An absolute gem!
