I had not visited the place for a long time...apart from the fact that the prices increased which I understand the portions are much smaller for more cost, I ordered extra chicken which was a little more than 2dls but since I wanted them to put it in my plate but in a small container they told me that only if I wanted it on the plate 4oz would it cost that if they put it aside it would be more than 4dls ?? what difference did it make if it is supposed to be the same amount of chicken ?? ..anyway I don't think the miniature box cost more than 2dls.

The food is good, but the customer service is bad. Ordered the chicken teriyaki meal for my daughter and when I went back to ask for a side of teriyaki sauce the guy said we can't do that and gave me soy sauce. Is this a restaurant? How can you not have your food the way you want it? She loves eating her rice with teriyaki sauce on top not soy sauce. It wouldn't cost much to give your customer a small side of teriyaki sauce and it shows you value your customer. I was generous with my arar

Sarku has been my favorite for many years now. Unfortunately they don't have a location in the valley so I have to wait to visit Bakersfield to enjoy their tasty and amazing ? food. I took my son for his birthday to thousands oaks because it's only 30min away to try their Sarku location, I'm happy to say ? it's also delicious ? thank you!!!

The cashier asked if I want rice or noodle, extra chicken? Which I said no, and sauces on top of the chicken? I said no. I wonder what makes he asked those questions?? They never asked things like that before. Anyhow. The container has changed. Smaller and shallower styrofoam container. Price up and less food. I took picture of my food and you can see how much ratio of rice , veggies and chicken. Will I come back again? No. Goodbye Sarku Japan.

Do not eat here!!! They have no concern for food safety and the manager is a terrible person who hates her job. This woman should not be in customer service. Hope the owners reads these reviews!

The food was gross, had a hair in my California roll. Yuck! The cashier was so unengaged like she looked, annoyed that we were even in her line. They don't even carry simple staples like black pepper or ponzu n sauce and charge almost $4 for a fountain drink and are hardline on no refills which is unheard of. Horrible place
