Made the mistake of going here on St. Patrick's Day...thinking I might actually hear Irish music! Nope... they did have SCOTTISH bagpipes (which I do like) but certainly NOT Irish music! Instead they had what seemed like a local garage band playing 60s, 70s rock (just OK at best). Food was way overpriced, and just so-so. Not the greatest ambience to say the least. The Irish dancers that were supposed to perform never showed up. Don't bother.

We went on St. Patrick's day and the service was abysmal. I never complain about service, but we struggled to get drinks the whole time. The only server who did great was Babs, and she is the only reason they get two stars. We initially had a server named Grace, who was inattentive and forgot orders numerous times. The bill was nearly 400 dollars for four people and absolutely not worth it.

Our experience has been wonderful. Mama Babs was incredibly attentive and made our experience absolutely incredible! She made our experience one of a kind, and nothing to forget.

This place wasn't great. Food was horrible, service was just ok. Came on a Friday night and the place was a ghost town (literally just my small group and one other group of four people), which was my first sign something was off. When I got my bland, dry burger and the others in my group got their gross food, I knew why no one was at this establishment. There are better options in town, trust me.

The atmosphere and service has really improved in the last couple years. The bartenders are pretty knowledgeable. I've only been here during the evening and there's tons to do depending on the night, karaoke, trivia, dancing, or just sitting by the fire or playing pool/darts with friends. Now I'm hearing they have drag brunch so I'm looking forward to checking that out soon

Had a really horrible experience here on a Saturday night and will not be coming back. My friends and I were looking forward to having a girls' night and excitedly came to Tipsy Goat, having received recommendations for it from other friends. The manager was incredibly rude and unwelcoming. We were surprised and appalled that she was so ill mannered. We had great experiences with the bartender and bouncers and they deserve 5 stars for sure. Unfortunately, because of the poor treatment from the manager, we will not be returning. Highly recommend other places in town, such as Bamboo Room or Tarantula, if you're looking for a good time. Otherwise, you'll be better off making the drive to LA for some more welcoming spots.

Terrible service and no water when requested from a friend who needed water at the time when too intoxicated, Sean was rude and refused to help my friend in the time of his need. Please stay away from this place at all costs. They don't look out for your safety whatsoever and are simply looking for a dollar in their pockets. I am never coming back here no matter what the occasion is. Sean is a terrible person and I wouldn't recommend coming here to anybody after this terrible experience.

Disgusting place with terrible staff. One of the security guards was dealing drugs all night!

Great waitress, good food, they made us a dessert even after the kitchen was closed. Also, this place becomes a complete 180 after the kitchen closes and is an incredible night club vibe. Great spot to mingle!

I recently had a school reunion on 10/14/2023 with 150 alumni from Oak Park High School that graduated 1983-1988. DANIKA & KYLEE were amazing at helping put this thing together, endless questions via email and helping to figure out all that was (or wasn't) needed. I forgot the guy that did security at the back gate, but he was checking everyones ID and crossing their name off the guest list. Not on list, no entry to event. Kylee and her crew were setting up early and were ready to go when alumni started arriving at 6pm. I left at 1:30am and there were still people there, enjoying the fire pits. The compliments I have received on the reunion FB page along with messages sent to me were that the event was perfect! The venue was perfect. The food was delicious. Service was wonderful. The only complaint I got was about some smoking on the patio area.....this person wished that could be done in the parking lot, but I know the outside areas of bars/restaurants is for smokers. The evening started out with a HUGE charcuterie tray, fresh fruit & veggie platter. I had to make sure I covered meat eaters, vegans & vegetarians at this event. Our main dishes, all finger food with the chicken & burger sliders (raved about those), the chicken & shrimp tacos (OMG, they were delicious), grilled veggie skewer (I believe everyone enjoyed, I do not care for bell peppers so I did not eat). The emanadas were delicious as was the spanokpita (a tad bit greasy).....but EVERYONE RAVED ABOUT HOW GOOD THE FOOD WAS! We had the entire venue (inside/outside) from 6-10pm and at 10pm, the venue opened to the public. I think my only complaint was, they were letting people in through the back patio, where we were supposed to remain as a private event and people were walking through, checking out the gift bags that were out for alumni and were even sitting down to enjoy the fire pits and tables. I was told we would have the back patio to ourselves and that was not the case. I think allowing public in through only the front doors would have been better and a sign on the back gate, that closed for private event. YES, Tipsy Goat definitly caters to the 20-30 year old crowd as some of the public passing through, had commented loudly, wanting to know if it was "grandparents night out....." Again, a sign on the back gate and even the door to the back patio, that it was a private event, would have helped. Otherwise, the evening was perfect and went exactly as I envisioned. I would definitely consider having the next reunion at Tipsy Goat!

This is a local hangout, not a gastropub as hoped. In a Sunday night it was completely empty. Whoever designed their website did an amazing job!! I was excited to try the food. Upon receiving the menu, we were told that the food side of the bar menu was unavailable ?. The regular menu was basic bar food. The server could not tell us what the house sauce for the fried pickles was. I decided to get a simple gin and soda and was charged $15. I'm happy to pay for well crafted cocktails, but this is a shot topped with soda... kinda $$$! The server was very nice and attentive. The place was clean. Sadly, it just wasn't what we had been hoping for.
