Very good food. Disappointed how they serve red wine! Out of the fridge, way to cold

Great experience! Very good quality sushi place and the serving was great! Andrew was very accommodating and the atmosphere while being a little quiet was lovely. I will be returning soon with more people and I hope this place gets more recognition because it is well worth it.

If able, I'd leave a zero star rating. Walked in to restaurant waiting to be seated. Stood around for 5-6 minutes before having to ask where we should sit. Someone who works at establishment replies, not yet. Understand there were plenty of open tables and another family waiting to be seated behind us. We waited another 5 minutes and was never greeted so we exited and had dinner else where.

Solid sushi spot, a real hidden gem that only the locals are going to know about is my guess as its a ways from the freeway and in a residential area that I couldn't imagine most stumbling upon. Yama San is tucked away in a shopping center and not outright obvious when your in there. Likely why both times I've come here the restaurant has been really quiet and they are quick to get you in and out without feeling rushed. The decor is super cute inside and it's a great spot for a date night or lunch with friends. It's casual but the decor gives it more of those Instagram picture worthy vibes. Come see for yourself, I was impressed. The sushi is hands down 4.5 stars. Everything was fresh and I was impressed with how huge their menu is. Everything we tried was really good from the appetizers, to the sashimi, and the rolls. I really liked their Yama Yama Roll here and their sashimi is tasty, usually go with the salmon and albacore. The service has been really good both times I've come. Everyone is friendly and attentive. They deserve your business and we need to keep yummy little local spots like this in business! I think that's my biggest fear is with it being a bit tucked away it's easy to miss. Even for myself whose been here and enjoyed it, I sometimes forget it's around just because I'm not regularly driving by it and most of my friends have yet to discover this little joint. Bring a friend and give this spot a try, yummy sushi and a 5 star atmosphere.

Confused, was looking for korean restraunt and there was lots of pics and reviews of Korean food. They had two things on the menu, korean short ribs and bugolgie beef. Both great but no kimchi or bimbop. Find out new owners, new menu. Needs to be relisted. Good food just not much korean anymore.

When you first arrive, you are greeted by friendly and attentive staff. The waitress was friendly, made great suggestions, and brought stuff our quickly for our kiddos. The food was delicious and fresh! Prices are a bit high but worth it for the quality, taste, ambience, and services. It's small, quaint and invokes calm. You can also get take out, which seemed to be a common thing but it's always nice to eat out. They do have a small outdoor dining area. Delicious!!!!!

Come here if you want frozen sushi that isn't thawed out properly. Wish I can give it 0 stars!

Superior quality sushi and steak. Love their Uni pasta, King Mushroom, Agedashi Tofu, Scallops, Wagyu Steak, Salmon Belly Sushi, Unagi, Amaebi and much more or simply leave it to the Sushi Chef and order Omikaze and surely love the Sashimi/Sushi combo.

Hours are not accurate. Came here at 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday and the store was closed. Google says it's open until 8:30 P.M. Update your hours, please.

This restaurant in just down from a family members place, so we thought we could give it a try. The first time we went it was pretty good. Enough so that we chose to try it again a few months later. Our last experience (in early April) was a bit of a fail all-around. Once we were finally greeted by our server, we ordered several items straight out of the gate. First the garlic edamame as an appetizer, along with miso soup. The miso soup showed up in about 5 minutes, along with a few sushi dishes we ordered about 10 minutes later. It was a bit of a chore for the staff to keep our water glasses full. Funny enough, I had asked for a carafe or an extra glass from the start but our server instead asked if I wanted a straw? I think she missed the point that I was trying to make her job easier, but I digress. As soon as our food came. these fruit flies came out of nowhere. I saw them in the restroom but didn't think much of it. Now those same bugs were buzzing around, landing on our food. When I said something to one of the young ladies, she simply replied "yeah they came early this year, normally they don't show up until summer. It must be the weather". Like really? Your a restaurant in California, not Costa Rica. There are easy ways to avoid bugs taking over your inside eating establishments.About 30 minutes after sitting down we were wrapping things up. All of a sudden the gentleman that works the front dropped off our garlic edamame. Now by this time we wrote it off and figured the server simply forgot to order them. A few minutes later our actual server finally stops back by to check in on us. She asked if we were good. I gestured to the edamame and said we actually ordered these as an appetizer, not a dessert. She simply replied "yeah, I think the kitchen was back up". Not 'do you till want them?' or ' our bad, it's on us'. Anything besides passing the buck in true millennial fashion.Based on this experience it will be our last. It's really unfortunate a local restaurant in such a tight nit community would be so disconnected from decent customer service. If you don't love your job, do something else. For a $50 tab most expect better than this, we definitely do. Save your time, your money, and your patience. I am giving 2 stars because the food is actually good. But what's that worth if the ambiance and service is off, and you're sharing your meal with the uninvited guests of the flying type.

I believe this restaurant has changed hands recently. The sushi was sad. The Cali roll tasted like mayo. No sauce in the eel sushi. Wouldn't recommend.
