came right before dinner opening at 6pm and there were already a few people waiting for the doors to open. ordered 2 bowls and food was out within ~20 minutes.we ordered curry, one with chicken, and one with pork. each one was medium sized which was the perfect amount for one person.the curry was really good, probably one of the best curries i've tried before. i read on one of the other reviews that there are beef chunks in the curry, and i definitely noticed!there is very ample seating outdoors, right outside of the entrance. would recommend taking the food to go since it can get a bit busy and is also getting colder outside.

Food was good, but kinda pricey and we waited over an hour outside in the cold. If you can catch this place when it's not busy, go for it. But there were about 8 people ahead of us and it took a while, only 1 guy running the whole place. Seems to get a lot of people who really like it tho.

The curry is so delicious!! I got extra hot and it was perfect balance of spicy and flavor; only just a little over salted for me. I wish the broccoli and corn weren’t served cold but I just tossed it into the container of curry and it warmed up a bit.I appreciate that the cutlets aren’t overly breaded, just enough to add the perfect crunch.I saved the left over sauce and added some protein to make another meal. This will definitely be my go to curry place even tho it’s about 40 mins away without traffic.

Absolutely delicious curry and tender juicy pork cutlet with tasty side dishes. The included beef pieces in the curry were super tender and scrumptious. Service was fast and efficient; ordering is self service using touch pad screens at the front of the restaurant. I was super impressed in learning that this is a one man show in the kitchen. There are a couple of stool seats and a table available for outdoor seating though it appears most people are ordering to-go at this time.It is quite pricey for a to-go meal (close to $20 per dish depending on the side of rice and meat choice), but the flavor and quality is undeniable.

Pretty much self serve takeout only. Very tasty Japanise style curry. It is a little pricey but you will like it.

Did you know Curryfornia is a one man operation? This man alone preps all the toppings, takes orders through a kiosk, and hand delivers your curry order to you. Kudos to him. With that said, order for pick up and take it with you. Don't plan to eat at this restaurant, there's only one table and 4 chairs,But you will enjoy the curry with plenty of different sizes to suit your hunger level. For first timers, I recommend the curry at a medium, with boiled eggs, fried onions, and either the pork or chicken katsu. I tried the omelette rice once and loved it too. You won't go wrong with the karaage with the spicy mayo as a topping either.

People hyped this up so much I think I hyped it too much for myself and thought it'd be on the same level as Bondy back in Japan. Yes the curry is pretty meaty and tastes like it was enhanced with a Japanese demi-glace. It is good, but not particularly generous, and the curry was a bit thinner than I expected. Let's be honest. It's a small portion for $20. Since it's takeout only, your katsu or karaage is not crispy (nor was ours juicy or soft) when you get home. You walk up, order on an ipad with terrible UI, and then wait for anywhere between 15-45min, if the place is even open when you arrive. To the owner's credit. He is somewhat nice, and he works hard. I want to support the place, but it operates more like a ghost kitchen. You can get away with this in Japan but with Tokyo Central right down the street, I know I can make my own in the same amount of time and without the trouble it takes to play "are you open?", "what's even left?", and "how long am I going to sit in this parking lot?" game. Just do Tenkatori karaage and pressure cook Java curry with beef stew chunks, incorporate demi-glace if you wanna get fancy.

Amazing food, fast service, and fully customizable!!That being said, this isn't a place to take your friends out to eat. There's no seating and it's to-go only. A bit pricey but the portions are generous enough to make up for it (they give you more than enough curry!! might even be able to save some and use your own rice for another meal) Highly recommend if you need some to-go lunch and live within 20 mins of this place.

NOT vegetarian friendly! The curry has meat in it. The potato salad has meat in it. That's not the reason for the 1-star review, though.Ugh, I had such amazingly high hopes for this place and was so utterly disappointed. Spent over $20 on a curry dish and didn't end up eating any of it.The rice was undercooked and hard in the middle. I ordered the mild curry, but it was just as spicy as my husband's hot curry, so could eat any of it. Also, it doesn't say anywhere on the menu, but the curry is filled with meat. The potato salad doesn't say on the menu, but it also has meat. The curry that was meant for the vegetarian went to waste.I ordered the tonkatsu. The inside was hard and impossible to chew. The breading was mushy and undercooked.$3 to add on a tablespoon of pickles.Doesn't help that the owner/chef/operator is super rude.Never coming back here again.

Went Friday after 1pm and got extra spicy curry, with large omelette rice, sweet corn, cheese, and red pickles, with no wait. It was good, but I think I should step the spice level down next time. I couldn't enjoy the curry as much as I did the time before because it was a bit spicy. The omelette rice was pretty and good, but I couldn't appreciate it with the curry. I was too focused on not breaking up the pretty egg, so much so that I couldn't enjoy the mixture, so will pass next time. Next time, I'll order a large rice - spicy, radish, corn, hard boiled egg, and either fried shrimp or fried chicken.

The automated service was excellent and also the self-ordering service worked excellent the food was delicious everything I ordered was wonderful and I am told by my daughter that if we would have went past 6:00 it would have been a two and a half hour wait so I guess this place has a large following and no wonder why it's delicious

Some of the best katsu curry I've ever had. The curry is homemade and stewed with chunks of beef. No seating so take it to go, but it's worth it.

Japanese katsu curry is a super nostalgic comfort meal for me (think Anton Ego in Ratatouille), and this place does it justice. I would go as far as to say that it is likely the *best* curry I have ever had. This being said, a meal from here may come with a substantial price tag depending on what you get. Pretty much everything is customizable, from size to heat to toppings. You're able to get up to three of their free toppings options -- our family's go-to combinations include cheese (it might be mozzarella or maybe like a mild white cheddar), boiled egg, and the fukujinzuke. If you're a fan of cutlet, their tonkatsu is absolutely freaking delicious, with the crispy panko exterior and succulent meaty interior (but adds $4.50 to your bill). Their version of hot has some heat but the richness of the beefy curry roux makes the heat more tolerable. If you're a spice seeker, go for the extra hot. A large order from here is substantial enough to cover two meals for me. With all of our little upgrades and accoutrements, eating here costs my family about $20 a person in the end. Is it worth it? Absolutely.
