After doing some hot yoga, I decided to grab a bite to eat. I've only been to the Cerritos location before a long time ago, so I didn't know that there was actually an extended menu of items. I wanted to lay off eating meat after my workout, so I ordered the tempura cauliflower, portbello mushroom black garlic udon, and the rosemary chicken sando to take home for my husband to eat. I love that my choices felt very light - not heavy. The sauce that came with the tempura cauliflower went really well with the appetizer. I ended up pulling the portbello mushroom from the soup, so that I could still take crispy bites with the soup instead of it turning soggy. Everything was delicious. I even grabbed a strawberry sando to go. The bread was super soft. I did wish that there were more strawberries than cream though. Esther is the person who helped me out. I was watching her work ethnic - and she was super quick and efficient. So shout out to her for holding it down! There's some free parking spots in the shared. There's also a bathroom if you need one.

I ordered a katsu plate chicken kang jung. The katsu is pretty good, a bit dry but still good and thick pieces of chicken. The gravy works well. But like how you gona do me like this with my macaroni salad ?!! Not even a scoop!!!

Was craving for some really good pork katsu but the place we wanted was closed and this place has been on my radar for quit some time and decided to give it a try. Because it was pretty late (9:50pm) we decided to share a plate and went straight for the curry pork katsu plate spicy (+$.50) not sure why the extra charge but it was spicy in a good way. We thought the curry was a bit on the salty side but it went really well with the soft rice. The pork katsu was super crispy and not oily. The sides were good, the radish was really good. Overall: it was surprisingly good at this late hour especially since we were the only people dining in. Our waitress was lovely. We're definitely coming back again to try more food!!!

My family loves this place. Every time our kids crave chicken katsu they immediately want us to order takeout out from here. Our favorites are the Rosemary Katsu Sando, the Dill Egg Salad Sando, Chicken Curry Katsu plate and Chicken Katsu plate. Love the waffle fries and Strawberry Sando too. From the time we place an order to pick up or delivery, it's pretty quick. Never disappointed with this restaurant.

Great food -- we enjoyed the Ddeukbokki a lot, as well as the tempura cauliflower and yubu rolls. Highly recommend this spot for casual snacks with friends!

Drove by this place so many times since the parking lot is kinda tough, but really glad I finally tried it! It's a really good casual restaurant. I'd say it's not so much traditional Japanese katsu, it's more of a Korean-Japanese bar food feel. They do have curry rice and curry udon, but most of the menu is different sandwiches. I really enjoyed the Rosemary Katsu Sando with chicken, spicy mayo and waffle fries. The fries are perfectly super crispy and the portion size overall is big! Great value. We also had the Apple Sweet chicken sandwich which is on brioche so more like a burger. I'll definitely be back to try other katsu and other menu options. They also have a mushroom katsu option if you want something without meat. Service was quick and friendly.

If you want a hardy thick piece of chicken covered with an umami flavor this is the place to check out. One of our top chicken sandwiches. Last night ordered 3 Nashville Hot, 1 Apple, 1 Kamikaze and 1 Chipotle. All great with their unique flavor but my favorite is the Nashville Hot. Its spicy, crunchy, juicy chicken when consumed right after being served, I Love all the fixings they add into this sandwich. Otherwise, the spiciness will dissipates once the you let the chicken sandwich cools off. The waffle fries is a filling compliment to the chicken sandwich. The apple choice has a lightly sweet flavor and the kamikaze to me is a medium between the Apple chicken sandwich and the Nashville hot. Katsu Bar takes pride in their customer service and you can see that from he attentiveness of the staff.

This place is low key garbage, very watery curry and a very sad looking rosé spicy chicken udon. service was nice though I'll give em that, wouldn't recommend there are much better spots esp in Torrance.

We've driven by this restaurant a few times and wanted to try it. We got there at around 11:45 and we were promptly greeted and seated by the waiter, who directed us to use the QR code menu. He also gave us a carafe of water and cups. We both ordered the Curry Katsu Plate. I had the chicken katsu and Jenn had the portobello mushroom katsu at the spicy level, which was an extra .50 cents. The food was great. The portobello katsu was crunch and the curry sauce was just a little spicy. We have a higher heat tolerance so maybe we try the extra spicy next time. The chicken katsu was good. We also loved the radishes, side salad and the Mac salad. The Mac salad tasted homemade. The restaurant looks like it would be great for a happy hour. They serve beer on tap and also have a selection of soju. We would definitely go back to try some more of the food items, especially the spicy udon. Summary: Great, attentive service. Quality food with reasonable portions. Looks like a fun place to have a beer and some snacks too.

Sometimes, I just have a craving for Japanese quick stop sandwiches and that's where Katsu Bar comes in - I personally love the chicken katsu sando with a side of curry for dipping. Vegetarians can still get that crispy sandwich with the portobello katsu and of course a classic Japanese egg salad sando. I will say that sometimes it can be a little salty, and the meal is super rich (butter anyone?) but that won't deter me from coming back for more.

Tip 1 : Parking is always a challenge in this strip mall. If you can't find a spot you can go across the street to the crossroads and walk over Tip 2: if you tag them on IG, you get a free soda Ambiance : Weird sort of decor , but it works in a casual eatery. The music selection is sort of a hip hop thing. Food: the food is a fusion of various Asian styles The tteok-Baki was awesome. Got the regular spice level - it's awesome but made me glad I didn't order spicy The katsu curry I ordered spicy and it was quite good. They serve it with a "salad" which was meh. The potato salad was also meh. The faddish are good. But the katsu was the star of the show. The chicken was perfectly made. The curry and rice a delight This location is definitely on my short list of places to go although I might temper it by parking availability Service is quite fine. No complaints

Small but bustling, especially with DoorDash orders. Clean and well lit. Seat yourself and scan the QR code for updated menus! Now...on to the main event, the katsu. It had a perfect light coating of crispy fried breading, though the chicken sandwiches (we got sweet and Nashville hot) could have used a tiny bit more slaw/ bigger bun. "Nashville hot" was just a tiny bit of spice. The udon with katsu was hot and fresh, and the chicken bites in soy garlic were sweet and delicious. The rosemary sando was a huge portion, with a few waffle fries. Get extra creamy sauce for the fries, and try a sparkling fruit soda (fun and refreshing). Also tried some of their yubu pockets! They were bigger than I expected and a good amount for the price. The rice is sweet, and the egg salad and crab were amazing. For dessert, the strawberry sando was light and sweet- they're refrigerated so you can get as many to go as you like! Beers are still half off as well, so feel free to take advantage of their beer offerings. We did not get to try their tteokbokki but the guy next to us did and it smelled amazing. Next time!

First time here as was craving Katsu and had this restaurant on my list to go to. It was more Asian fusion than authentic Japanese cuisine, but for what you get its good value. Note: we got food "to go", and it was packaged like a bento and traveled well. Pork Katsu Plate ($14): It was a large portion of crispy juicy pork katsu, with white rice, berry katsu sauce and a few sides (i.e. a salad, pickled daikon, and mac salad). The pork katsu paired with the sauce and white rice was a good bite. The salad was arugula, a tomato slice, and a light vinaigrette that balanced the slight bitterness that comes from the arugula. The mac salad unfortunately did not have much flavor. Pork Katsu Sandwich ($13): There were three slices of a Katsu-Sando with a side of waffle-cut fries. The pork katsu was juicy with a nice crispy outer panko crust, all between soft chewy Japanese milk bread. There was cabbage as well as two sauces spread on the katsu. One sauce was a mayo/aioli type and the other was their berry katsu sauce. The berry katsu sauce was a little too sweet for the sandwich, and I wish there was more of the aioli spread. The fries were crispy and well seasoned. * Food: 4/5 stars * Parking: 5/5 stars * Ambience: 4/5 stars * Price: 5/5 stars * Value: 4/5 stars Katsu Bar is in a strip mall with dedicated parking.

Food and ambience seems good but it can get very noisy. The service is a little lackluster, but I would still go again.
