This is the closest Korean spot in my neighborhood. Pricy, but decent food. However, I don't feel comfortable with how they are handling the pandemic. I picked up my food today and none of the staff were wearing masks in the midst of the delta peak despite county mandates. I'm immunocompromised and can't get the vaccine yet, so I am extra careful. I called them on my way home to ask if the cooks in the back wear masks since I noticed no staff in the restaurant did. The staff member was very rude and responded in a way that didn't make much sense, "Yes, they do wear masks in the back and we're not changing our policies because they're the county's." In case there was a misunderstanding, I clarified that I knew the county policies and that I was only asking because I saw that staff weren't. He offered the same rude response. Anyway. I ended up throwing away my $14 Bibibap.

It's a small mom and pop restaurant that's been there for quite a few years. The hill has a very large population of Koreans ; immigrants , first gen etc. is it authentic? To survive up here you have to be authentic and good. Full disclosure: I like small family owned and operated restaurants. They care more about everything then a large chain run by hired and bored teenagers. The portions are large. I was full. Not as spicy as many Korean places, so you have to add a bunch of their hot sauce. The restaurant itself is well worn. Not dirty, by any means, but this is a small restaurant in a strip mall. That's the vibe. No fancy tablecloth's or dining. It is a bit pricey for what you get. It's a Korean / Japanese restaurant, but the owners are Korean so I'd stick to that side of the menu. I live farther up the hill, where there's a similar vibe with a Korean /Vietnamese restaurant (pho Hana). This restaurant want different enough to warrant the farther drive, but if you're near it the place is quite ok.

Uber Eats Review! I got the Spicy Rice Cake Combo and added Ramen for $3. Skip paying an additional $3 for a slice of Cheese and just add Kraft singles from home yourself lol The tteokboki (spicy rice cakes) were pretty good! Nice and chewy and the sauce was peppery and sweet. It came with yummy fish cakes too, a solid dish. The combo was advertised as coming with chicken katsu, gyoza, and shrimp tempura. However my order did not have shrimp tempura and instead came with battered and fried octopus. Luckily, I love octopus so the surprise was a welcome one. However, if you are not a fan of octopus, be wary that they may modify your order without notice. The fried foods all had nice texture but were a bit lacking in flavor. Nothing a good sauce can't fix! The ample portions were very nice! The katsu was a bit dry but it was perfectly crunchy. I don't know if I'll eat here again, the portions were good and the flavors were satisfactory enough, but it didn't blow me away. There are some pretty amazing Korean restaurants in the area that are better than this place in my opinion.

Great service, food was prepared quickly and flavors were amazing. Overall, this place is a great value for the prices. I'm glad I found my new neighborhood gem.

The spam kimbaps are very delicious! Except, there was a very long wait for my three kimbap rolls, a bit over 40 minutes? They usually don't take this long but this time, the people there told me to wait longer and kept delaying my pickup time...

Found the food here to be really bad, leaning toward absolutely horrible bad. Have eaten Korean food many times before, and the food quality here was very inferior to the other Korean restaurants. Plus, the place has not been well maintained and they are not offering on site dining. Take out only. So don't expect sit down service. Then finally, the prices are high for what you receive. There are so many better places to eat in this neighborhood. Don't you hate it when you waste your time and money on a bad restaurant?

Rice Heaven is a hidden gem. The staff are amazing and the food is delicious. Every time we eat here, we always order the pork katsu, hot stone bibimbap, and tteokbokki. In addition, each meal comes with side dishes and miso soup, both very delicious. Even despite covid, their take out has not dropped the food quality at all. The pork katsu is my families favorite. It by far has to be the crispiest pork katsu that we have had. The bibimbap is very flavorful, but often times meat isn't available with it (because of covid). However, tofu makes a good substitute for the meat. The tteokbokki is spicy and very flavorful, and is perfect for dipping the katsu in. Overall, a very solid korean restaurant. I would highly recommend eating here.

Love rice heaven!! It's a hidden gem. Our family, including our kids, love their food. It's so yummy!! Very good amount of food for the money too. We love to get their bibimbap and gimbap, and sushi is good too. Great family owned place.

Lately when I eat out I try to pick a new restaurant I haven't gone to. Rice heaven popped up when looking for something soupy and some sort of meat and rice combo. I ended up ordering the spicy tofu soup, gyoza, and grilled spicy chicken combo. I am sad to say, it was a disappointing dinner. Everything was super bland. My tofu soup was supposed to be spicy but nope, no hint of spice and there was mostly tofu and very little meat. The chicken was bland, all I tasted was sesame oil , not spicy either. I think the only decent thing there was the gyoza. It had veggies and meat inside and it was crispy just luke warm by the time we got home. They do give a couple sides like fish cake, miso soup, kimchi, etc when you order a combo.
