We tried Utsav on a whim, and we are so happy that we did! I've been searching for delicious restaurants in the area, and had yet to find an Indian restaurant we loved. Well, look no further! I'm telling you, Utsav is it. Of course we ordered the usuals--Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Dal Makhani, Raita, Roti, and Garlic Naan. Everything was delicious and had all the right flavors, spices, and heat level. My favorite of the bunch was definitely the Butter Chicken, although I did like the additional vegetables in the Tikka Masala as well. The raita paired nicely with the curries and I really enjoyed dipping the garlic naan and roti in the thick sauces. I would absolutely order from Utsav again. Very happy to have found a local spot with quality Indian food!

We ordered from DoorDash and loved the food. The Malai Kofta was my favorite--the sauce that the dumplings are in is just so rich and flavorful. The chicken tikka masala was great too--love the way the chicken had been cooked and seasoned. Highly recommend getting some garlic naan and veggie samosas. We also really appreciated how carefully our food had been packaged up--the food was still piping hot when it arrived, and none of it had spilled because of how carefully they had wrapped everything. We loved our experience and can't wait to order from them again.

I ordered takeout through DoorDash so I don't know how the service and ambiance is but the food is fantastic! I ordered the vegetable biryani, sagg paneer, and yellow dal. The only thing that was concerning is that the biryani had cherries with pits in it and I wasn't expecting it and thought I chewed into a rock. But the cherries give it a lot of flavor. But just be mindful of that I ordered everything spicy and it did not disappoint. They definitely bring the heat. I will definitely come here again!

Food is great. This our new favorite Indian restaurant. A true hidden Gem of the South Bay.

I found this restaurant because my parents were requesting it. It is near their house. They have been to several Indian restaurants in South Bay and said that this one is better than the rest. It is a tiny place in a strip mall and those places usually wind up being the best. From the moment I walked in the door, the smells were intoxicatingly delicious! Although I was there for carry out, I swore to myself that I will return someday soon for the AYCE buffet, so I can try a lot of different dishes. The portions are very large, my dish actually lasted me three meals. We did get a lot of sides though too.

This tiny Indian restaurant in a suburban shopping center is such a great find! Super delicious lunchtime buffet with a nice variety of delicious food both vegetarian and chicken and meat based. The naan might be the best I've ever had. With one person in the kitchen and one person out front, it's amazing that it runs so well but they do a busy weekday takeout service as well as a reasonably bustling lunch buffet crowd. We are glad we found this weekday lunch gem that is so reasonably priced and a nice experience.

The buffet was delicious. They have a lot of dishes to choose from and they were all tasty. Everything was fresh. We will definitely be back!

We get delivery from a few Indian restaurants in the area. From one of them, once we had food that we didn't care for. Unfortunately we forgot which one it was. But then, without realizing it, we ordered again from the same place. It ended up the same way, in the trash can after a few bites. The tikka was oily, too sweet, and tasted awful. The lassi so sweet you couldn't taste the mango. The nan was soggy, flavorless and disappointing. Summarizing: no flavor in the many dishes we ordered those two times matched the usual taste of the uncounted times we enjoyed Indian food, from many regions. Now we took note, and will avoid this place in the future. It's difficult to go bad with Indian food, but this was mediocre at best.

Great Indian food and staff is always friendly. We go there at least 2-3 times a month. Better Indian food restaurant than most places in Torrance/South Bay Area.

The food was most excellent; maybe the best Indian food in the South Bay. The servers were attentive and knowledgeable. The naan with chili was super spicy and unique. However, the ambience has a lot to be desired. Way too bright, barely anything on the wall; kind of like eating in the middle school cafeteria. I will only do take-out in the future unless they do something to make the dining experience a little more enjoyable. Plus, they do not offer alcohol.

I’ve never been to an Indian restaurant that doesn’t include simple rice with a dish and there were like 5 small pieces of meat in both of our dishes. There have to be better options in the

this is probably one of the poorest Biriyanis I have tried thus far. It pales in comparison to some of the other Biriyanis locally available, and I’m not even talking about the real thing one gets in India.

Really enjoy this restaurant. The lunch buffet is wonderful, as is the dinner menu and take out options!

Tried this new place out. We had the all you can eat lunch special. There were definitely some pros/cons.The pros were: excellent food (especially the butter chicken), great naan! Price was reasonable at $19 per person. Easy to park with no extra cost. Dessert was good but they only had a fruit salad NO sweet rice or NO gulab jamun (which I normally looooove to eat at other Indian restaurants). Good service, the waiter was kind. The cons: the atmosphere could have been more upbeat, it was very quiet (no music playing), they ran out of the dish we loved so we had to wait an extra 15-20 minutes before they brought more out and the rice was limited; I think we could have asked for more but we ended up just using what they gave us.
