We had the red snapper special which was quite delicious and the barbecue baby back ribs which were fantastic. This place is an extremely elegant and lively decorated Oasis on the coast adjacent to the redwoods. Aside from the excellent service and food, the decor mixes art and ephemera from Asia, Africa, and pop influences from the 1980s. It shouldn't work but it does. Friendly and informative staff in eclectic surrounds. Accommodated us when we didn’t have a booking. Food portions are generous and delicious. Steak was exactly as ordered (medium rare) and locally sourced ingredients is a wonderful touch.

This is probably the best restaurant in Humboldt County. It is in a beautiful location, and the atmosphere of the place feels very inviting. Food is excellent, I love how a lot of it is locally sourced. One complaint is that the appetizers are too expensive for the amount you get (especially when you split for two). Otherwise the food is delicious! It is perfect for birthdays or anniversaries or other fun nights out!
