The pastries are fantastic! The so tasty and perfect blend of flakey and fluffy, not an easy feat. The baked goods are also beautiful. The coffee was tasty and complimented the baked goods well. The atmosphere is kid friendly and has a great blend of locals and visitors. They had high chairs available. I would post pictures but we ate everything too quickly.Dietary restrictions: They had a few gluten free options that looked delicious. Everything was very clearly labeled for allergies (gluten and nuts, etc.).

Apple Galettes is all I can say! Absolutely to die for! The staff is sweet just like the pastries! Always trying new items. Definitely can't go wrong with buying at least one of everything! ?❤️
Not to many bakeries can produce a flaky ,tasty pastry crust special in high altitudes. Their products are all first rate. Sat outside on the tiny back porch. Can't wait to go back they were in the middle of a remodeling. A little difficult to find due to the fact it's on the other side of the rail tracks. So worth the effort. I plan my arrival and departure from the area with their store hours si not to miss out.Parking: Truckee is a bustling little town no matter what the season. Just find any spot, check you don't have to pay and walk there. You can justify ordering and eating more than you intended.

Really good homemade pastries and the brownies were very good as well. The bread pudding was delicious. Pumpkin spice latte was also good and the staff are friendly. Bakery was clean. Would recommend and I'll be back when I come through truckee again.

We've been coming to Cornerstone for years so it only seemed right to have them create our wedding cake and desserts this summer. The process was incredibly easy and enjoyable from start to finish, from our tasting box to the wedding day. We worked with Savannah, who was incredibly responsive and provided great suggestions that really helped us make our final decisions. Cornerstone delivered our desserts at our venue, which took a lot of stress out of the big day, and our guests loved the final products. We cannot say enough positive things about this place! Thank you team Cornerstone!!

Tired of that soulless Tartine vibe and exclusive line ups? This is the quintessential neighbourhood bakery, if you live in paradise (which this maybe is). Everything tastes like it's made with love, artistry, and crazy talent. From special occasion cakes to the world's best ham and cheese croissant and everything in-between. And if you're a potatoes person, eat all the potatoes in the connected kitchen space next door. Such a cute little spot. I came in at 8:30, and the young lady at the front was sweet as pie--the place has a couple of tables, so you can enjoy your baked goodies right away. Cornerstone Bakery is right off the street, with ample parking across from it. I got an everything croissant, cinnamon roll, mixed berries (?pie?), and a lemon blueberry sconce. The sconce was my favorite. It was so moist and delicious. The croissant was giant and so flaky. I haven't tried the cinnamon roll or the mixed berry thingy. They have pull-apart bread, brownies, bear claws, coffee, and more.

This is one of those gems that is a destination in its own right, that you struggle to decide if you should tell people about. You should, because you want them to be successful and be around forever and ever. You shouldn't, because of all the usual obnoxious things. Few places withstand or deserve hype, but this place really feels like it does both.

Great bakery. Delicious food. Best baked goods ever. Everything is delicious. Pecan bars are out of this world. The cookies with chocolate and coconut are so, so good. I keep trying so many things and still haven't gotten to the beautiful cinnamon rolls. If you are Truckee, CA, don't leave without getting several things. No matter how many choices you make, they will all be gone within two days. Everything at Cornerstone bakery is hard to resist. Best little bakery ever.

This establishment in downtown has a bakery on one side and a small restaurant serving breakfast and lunch on the other side. We visited the bakery twice the week we were there. The selection is very good and can change from day to day. Prices are very reasonable for a tourist town. The goods were absolutely splendid. Not much room to sit down on the bakery side. The restaurant looked like it had a good menu as well if you were looking for something more substantial. Highly recommended.
