Amazing food and wonderful service. Just what we needed after a day of skiing. I need a gluten free and dairy free meal and the chef was able to accommodate with no problem.

This place is a ton of fun if you enjoy spooky and occasional interesting vibes - food is always incredible - cocktails are great - I wish they had better wine and beer - but their pastrami is amazing - consistently great - their specials are always inventive and fun. The live music is great - but if you aren't a fan of ghosts or vibes this may not be the place for you. I've met three there so far - tons of fun. Lively spirits and great service! Totally friendly, attentive and fun.

Scallops were over cooked. Salad was very sad. Service was okay. Been here a bunch of times not sure why I keep coming back- maybe for the live music...

Duck confit tostada and truffled deviled eggs - wha?! An epic homage to California fusion cuisine. And this place packs a vibe like no other. Rustic mountain saloon meets white table clothed French brasserie with jazzy electro beats and real servers that know how to chat up a table and elevate your dining experience overall. And the wagyu special was worth every penny . Thank you Moody team for making our dinner a highlight of the trip.

Fabulous food and service. The branzino (whole fish) was some of the best we've had. Great wine selection too. Our server Bri was excellent, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about all the dishes and we really enjoyed her positive attitude. They also accommodated our accessibility needs with ease. Loved the cozy fireplace room. Can't wait to come back.

Enjoyed everything from the food, to the staff and the great atmosphere. The "mood" and food is perfect at Moody's!

One of our favorite lunch spot in Truckee goes to: Moody's! We came today since it's the 'slower' time of the season to get our favorite chicken sandwiches. We typically get the Tomatillo Chicken Sandwich, which has applewood smoked beacon and some of the best cooked chicken breasts. I opted for my favorite Artisan salad, and my husband got the side of fries (which I picked from). This is by far one of our favorites, and they source their ingredients locally! The only ding I would have is the slower service, which isn't too bad. We were pretty surprised with this since it was slower, and not a lot of people were in. Typically, during peak season, it's a line out the door, and we're pretty patient when we know that the staff is working at their max. Overall though, if you're looking for a cozy bar/grill with elevated fares (and good drinks too), definitely stop over here.

Came here on a weeknight during a trip to Tahoe. We started with the crispy octopus, which was indeed very crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The bread was also very good - warm and soft. I had the branzino as my main, and it was quite large. It was cooked very well, and the skin was super crisp. My dining partner got the scallops, which was excellent too. We had the seasonal vegetables to share. The crème brûlée was on the watery runny side, but the glaze was good, and it was a unique touch to have candied ginger on top as garnish.

Went with a big group and got our own room. Service and food were outstanding! The Onion Soup, the Scallops, the Duck, the Wagyu steak were all universally praised. We didn't have anything that wasn't great. A single server handled our group of 15 and was up to the task. She had help when serving the table, but did the rest pretty much solo and crushed it. Yes, we paid alot for it, but if you want a special meal with a big group you'd be hard pressed to do better than Moody's.

I accidentally stumbled into the Market (connected to the hotel) today during lunch time. I was so pleasantly surprised by the incredible food (truffle fries and chicken sandwich were to DIE FOR!), their incredible whisky collection, and the very friendly service. I’ll definitely come back. Thank you!!

a bit over priced for the quality, but the atmosphere is worth the extra.

Love, love, love??We spent out 30th anniversary in Tahoe and stumbled on this gem. The staff was wonderful from the door to service. The food is delicious and their backstory is one be in awe of. I had the prized tomato soup and octopus which, were apps, didn't want a heavy dinner. Both were also decent portions and delish. Hubby had the ridiculous wagu steak, OMG!! Of course I had to help him? Highly recommend!!! Awesome cocktails accompanied our dinner.Thank you for making our celebration memorable!!

What a wonderful lunch. Delicious pulled pork sandwich on a toasted brioche bun, house made tomato soup and string fries. Excellent service with good food and wine recommendations. Beautiful music topped our lunch off. We will definitely eat here again.

The restaurant was full so we ended up in the bar extension- Nobody’s market. We were able to order from the main menu anyhow. The cocktails were great, dessert was great, service was great as well, we will come back for sure!
