Awesome atmosphere! Glad we stopped in on our way home from skiing. Food-wise chicken sandwich was delicious, fries were great, and the beers on draft were tasty. Would easily return on our next trip to Tahoe.

Went for happy hour, the underground burger is ABSOLUTELY UNREAL! Cooked perfectly and just melted in your mouth$3 shots if the train passes byOur bartender was so sweet, she’s amazing if you get her!

There was a drunk and homeless person walking in and out of the bar looking for trouble and threating people. In one occasion he stayed close to my friends and I while staring at us, grinding teeth and threatening. This all happened before bartender's eyes with no security around. I asked the bartender if she saw what happened and if she knew the person. All she said was " Yeah, he is annoying" . Also, the younger bartender charged me 28$ for a double shot of Bulleit. This is the drink that I always get everywhere and I'm pretty familiar with the size and prices. I went to the bartender and asked if this was a charge for a double shot of Bulleit and she said "Yes. That's what the other bartender has put on the tab". They try to take advantage of travelers who visit the area. Avoid the place.

This was the perfect place to stop for lunch and a drink. We got the burger and grilled cheese with tomato bisque plus a 50/50 beer and the fizzle dance (gin fizz). Everything was yummy (except the beer was okay)! There wasn't much seating so don't think I'd want to do dinner here but worked well for lunch. I think they have other seating areas open during lunch though. Staff was friendly. Overall great place to stop in for a delicious quick bite.
Do it. Have you ever thought after first bite , "this is going to be a good meal"? We had that feeling after taking the first duck fat fries bite. The burger here was amazing. We didn't want to share with the kids but we did. The shrimp poboy was good. The onion soup was good. The Caesar salad tasted gourmet. The Mac and cheese was perfectly seasoned, cooked, and was so good.Who would have thunk this bar/pub feel would have one of the best meals we have had in Truckee? Not me. Just do it.

We came for dinner and sat in the Carriage House which has a great vibe. The space is cozy and fun. The bar in the main house looked cool too but doesn't have much seating beyond the bar itself.The food (which you need to order at the bar) is excellent! The Buffalo wings were among the best I've had. The Caesar with shrimp was perfect. And finally, the best smash burger I've ever tasted hands down! Also loved their cocktails. Prices were reasonable for Tahoe, and the bartender was great and friendly. Overall service was excellent. This might be my new favorite spot to grab a drink and a bite in Truckee. We'll definitely be back, likely regularly.

Wanted to try new places our second time in Truckee and ended up here. We came in right at opening, 2pm. We sat at the bar. The gal didn't give her name but was completely absorbed in conversation with her coworker who was off that day. We ordered off the Happy Hour menu and the food & drinks were delivered rather quickly. The burger was a very good, hand packed pub burger with fresh fries. My husband had the blonde ale and I a well drink. We took advantage of the train crossing and had a well shot for $3 each. The building is an amazing three story historical. ( Had to add that).The bill came and everything full price! "Oh, I forgot it was happy hour", was the response. "I can't do a new bill, the system is weird. I'll just give you a discount." The bill should've been $45 and was $64. She gave a $16 discount. Maybe pay a little more attention to your patrons?!?!
