Whatever you do, do not go here! Find another Hawaiian place. Their customer service is one of the worst I've ever experienced and I've eaten at thousands of restaurants. I ordered their Loco Moco, and the two big patties were so dry. They were like rocks. After taking a couple of bites and hoping that the brown sauce which has zero flavor would save the meat, I was wrong. I went to the cashier/manager on duty and asked him if I could switch off that beef with the regular barbecue beef and I would even keep the rest of the plate so they didn't have to make me a whole new plate. He seemed like he could care less, so turned to a young Girl who was our cashier and after talking for about 30 seconds he said that they cannot switch out the meat for me. He said, so you want to buy a new plate?! I said why would I buy a new plate? I'm just telling you that the meat out which was way overdone and switch out and he said that they don't do that. I told him that that was ridiculous and I threw my food in the trash. They literally have no clue on how to take care of an issue! I will never come back.

Yummy food. Love the chicken and macaroni salad. Very generous portions and quick service. Will stop every time I'm in the area.

My second visit to this Hawaiian bbq place and the food is pretty good. The place has indoor and outdoor seating. The service is good and the food order is pretty quick.

I tried your Irvine location.l in the crossroad shopping center Your food is mediocre. I had the loco moco. I had high hopes for dinner. The portions were large, but the food was just sugar and salt. There are much better and healthier options. I ate about half and tossed the remaining. Definitely felt like I wasted my money.

Just spent $40 on food at 8:20pm they claim they close the inside dining at 8pm. A whole hour before closing the restaurant is crazy. Couldn't even eat outside they brought the tables and chairs inside as well smh. Would be nice to eat my food hot when I get it. Oh well won't be coming back here ever again

This location is garbage and the employees are horrible at their job especially the lady with the goofy lisp at the cash register. What's up with that?

Although I don't come here often, this was my favorite Hawaiian place around the area. It's been a while since I last got a meal from here so I decided to get lunch to-go on a Tuesday around 11:30a. This is located in The District at Tustin Legacy, right next to Target at the corner of Tustin Ranch Road and Park Avenue. The parking lot on this side is smaller and usually full, but there's also parking on the Target side or across Park Avenue where Alternative Retail and Pet Smart are located. Upon entering, I noticed the big menu screen behind and above the counter has changed. I didn't really pay much attention to it as I already knew what I was going to order -- chicken katsu meal ($15.99) and 2 orders of spam musubi ($4.99 per order, 2 musubi per order). The staff were all unfamiliar to me, but the 2 women working the front were very nice. So the container with the chicken katsu meal was stuffed as usual. They actual put a rubber band around it as the container had torn in several areas, lol. The katsu was crispy and the chicken was tender, but I did notice that the chicken felt thinner (pounded the heck out of it?) and there were more dark meat chicken. The batter was cruuunchy, possibly because of the uneven batter to meat ratio. Okay, not a problem. The macaroni salad had a tad more mayo than I'm used to. Rice was fine, but there was a big cabbage core as well as mostly thick parts of the cabbage leaves. Believe it or not, I do eat and like the cabbage served under the katsu, so I was sad that there were hardly any that I could eat. I did read on one of the reviews that the owners changed? Could explain the unfamiliar faces working and the menu board (and price) change as well as the change in quality of food. Despite of it all, I'd probably still come here as it's hard to find a decent Hawaiian place around this area that also gives you a lot of food. I know this goes waaaaay back, but I do miss those days when the Korean lady and the 2 brothers (twins?) were working.

This place is the absolute best. My girlfriend and I come here for food almost every week. The dishes are fantastic, and I would never usually say this but the cabbage is the best part.

Food and customer service went down the drain since new owner/ management. The portion is much smaller, but don't bother as the flavor is less than desirable. I will never come back.

Worst place ever. bad customer service is all it takes for me. The person taking the order didn't take the time to try to be helpful. He just didn't care about my business. He is very rude and needs communication skills that understands culture and diversity. The ambiance was very unwelcoming foremost because without quality service there is no environment to lay down invitation to business. I didn't order anything because he wasn't looking to serve me anywa. I made every effort to make business in a restaurant culture and he chose resistance and ignorance instead.

What is going on? I used to love your chicken katsu but that hasn’t been the case lately. Your chicken katsu used to be golden brown now it’s just dark brown, the texture makes it hard to chew, come on guys!

This is the worst loco moco I've ever had in my life. Over all this meal was trash. The rice was horrible, no flavor and looked like unwashed starch. Only thing worth eating was the overcooked two eggs and the Macaroni scoop just to get some food in me during my lunch break. The meat was over cooked and just tasted overly disgusting. One bite and that was it. I spent 24 dollars down the drain. I also had the chicken musubi which I took a bite and not worth going in my belly and in the trash. One of the worst meals I've ever had in years. Never going back
