First of all the staff - AWESOME!!! I had never been and the person who helped me was so kind, patient, and helpful! I always love a good recommendation and she nailed it! The crafted drinks are DELICIOUS and I love all the options. Having the poster there made it super easy for my kids to pick too! On to the food! Boss your burger is the way to go! I put all of my favorite toppings and I haven't had a burger that good in a long time! I went with the grass fed beef but I will definitely venture out next time. I loved the Boss Fries! The fries taste super fresh and I loved the toppings. The onion rings were good and my kids ate up the crispy chicken bites. (They were a little small so maybe order 2 if your kids are hungry). My kids didn't super care for the grilled cheese. The only con for me was I would not recommend getting it to go. Everything comes out piping hot so a 15 minute drive definitely steamed a bit. I don't hold that against Boss Burger because the flavors were still killer!

I recently came here via a Yelp event and so glad I did! I remember when it first opened years ago and just never visited. We shop at the Stater Bros. all the time, but I guess I just never knew what Burger Boss had to offer until I got to try their food thanks to Yelp! I went there with another Yelp Elite and she purchased her food. You can make your own, but I can't make that many decisions at once, so I got an Original Boss burger with mushrooms and the sweet potato fries and a made to order passionfruit ice tea. I got the garlic herb mayo sauce. My friend got the chipotle with her burger and her fries. We shared our food and when it was brought out on the little trays, everything was nice and neat. Normally mushroom burgers are kind of a mess, but theirs was really perfect and they put the top bun on the side so you can put the sauce yourself if you want and then close up your burger. It was easy to eat (nothing slid out or all over the place), and it was really good. Both sets of fries were delicious and my drink was really tasty. On top of that, the cashier was really nice and she even brought my drink to my table for me. There is plenty of seating, inside and out. It wasn't very crowded when I went, which was good for us, but not so good for the place. I hope they do better on weekends and maybe dinnertime? So glad I got to try this place because of this event! Thanks for the free meal, Boss Burger and Yelp!, and I will be back as a paying customer!

Love a place where you can build your own burger. Love it even more when the beef is 100% grass fed. Yes you're still eating a burger but hey you can still make yourself feel a little better knowing its 100% grass fed? ...Right? Hard to review since everyone would customize their own burger but mine was a 5/5. I would skip the regular fries. Definitely go with the sweet potato fries or onion rings instead and don't forget the "Boss Sauce". Having Garlic Herb Mayo as an option was a game changer. Not many places have that. Cost aside, I would give this a 5/5 easily. But $10 for just the burger and no sides or drink is a lot in my opinion. The wait was pretty long but it was because they had so many online orders. I could see the stressed looks on the staffs faces so hopefully they get more help there.

I came here for lunch with my family. I honestly did not have high expectations, but I was impressed. The meat patties were fresh and the sauces were super tasty. The fries were fresh and hot. I gave it 4 stars because I am still ultimately a fan of In N Out. No place come close to them, expect for maybe Burger Boss.

Wife and I decided to give this place a try and we were glad that we did! This place was delicious and the service was great. The person taking my order at the front was informative and helped me decide what to get. I built my own burger and got both regular and sweet potato fries. Both come with a sauce of choice. I ended up getting whatever was recommended (forgot what I got). My wife got the bbq burger. Both burgers were freshly made and took about 10-15 minutes for them to bring out the burger and fries. However, the wait was worth it. The ingredients seemed fresh and it was very tasty. The fries were nice and crispy and tasted great too! We also indulged with a mango lemonade which is highly recommended. If you're in the area and love a good burger, give this place a shot! You'll enjoy it!

I came in for lunch with my husband and two young children (3 yo and infant). I'll start by saying that this is a family friendly establishment! Everyone working was so nice to my kids and very patient with my toddler ordering his burger. Our cashier was Jonathan and he was fantastic! He went above and beyond to make sure that we understood all of our options and that we got our food fast and fresh. Speaking of the food, the burgers were delicious. Juicy and flavorful patty, soft bun, and yummy turkey bacon ( they don't offer pork bacon, as far as I can tell, but the turkey bacon was pretty tasty). The onion rings and fries were hot and crispy. My husband ordered a spicy chicken sandwich that was saucy and carried a kick. It was an all around wonderful experience and we can't wait to stop by again!

So nice I did it twice! After coming in for a Yelp event, I had a hankering for another burger not long after. It's so great to find a healthy restaurant that cares about putting healthy ingredients in their food. All beef is grass-fed, and chicken is antibiotic and hormone free. There are tons of options from burger patty types, fun toppings and premium toppings, as well as a variety of side options. The GM Kevin was super friendly and explained the the menu very thoroughly. There were signature burger options and build your own. For build your burger options, there were 4 patty options: black bean, beef, chicken, and turkey. My suggestion is start with the classic, beef. I opted for the build-your-own and was so happy with my burger. The meat was flavorful and good portion sized. I was really happy with the wheat bun, it wasn't tough or seedy as many usually are. I tried a burger with the garlic herb mayo and one with chipotle mayo, and I honestly can't decide which I like more! I got side of cheese fries (cheese on the side) which were good, but not anything out of the ordinary. I also ordered the mango lemonade which was very yummy, and of course a bit sweet. Everything was so delicious! The craft drink menu is on point! There were options of: Lemonade Flavor options: classic, mango, strawberry, mint, and strawberry mint. Iced tea flavor options: Passion fruit black, mango black tea, hibiscus black tea, peach, arnold palmer. coffee (oat milk flavors): iced, mint, salted caramel latte.

As for the food, the crispy green beans are actually addicting. Ordered a boss your own as a lettuce bowl and it was so fresh. They also had SO many toppings to pick from. Highly recommend adding bacon!! Passion fruit lemonade was also fire. Super clean inside and plenty of seating inside and outdoors. Also was surprised at how allergy friendly this place is. Had options for everyone including vegan and gluten free. Highly recommend.

Such amazing customer service. Greeted as we came in and as we left. To go order was hot and ready for pick up and dine in food made fresh. The quality of the beef - WOW. You can taste the difference with grass fed beef. Garlic aioli was delish, mushrooms and grilled onions were great additions. Onion rings fried to perfection. Paired nicely with the buttermilk ranch. Strawberry mint lemonade was refreshing, well balanced with the tart, fruity, and minty notes. Boss fries are too rich with the boss sauce, nacho cheese and toppings. I'd get normal fries next time instead. Didn't have to wait long for food to be fried and prepped. Tables cleaned between parties.

As a food snob I take burgers fairly serious. As a Californian, I know that we have the most burger joints than any other states and that US consumes 20 Billion burgers a year! At first glance Burger Boss looks similar to their East Coast competitors Burger Fi. Both have grass fed beef, similar color of the franchises and similar sides. I've had both and the edge definitely goes to Burger Boss. Not only are there more options to customize your burger but also their drink menu is "no joke"! Plus there's so many ways to order, at the register, touchpad or call in! There's nearly 10 (if not more) sauces to customize your burger from chipotle mayo, garlic mayo, siracha, spicy mustard, and much more. For my non pork eaters they only use Turkey Bacon (that's right no cross contamination opportunities) on their loaded fries and burger toppings. All of these options at an equitable price point and the amazing customer service is free! So how did it taste! Onion Rings - if you're into the beer batter crunch look no further. Nice, hot, semi sweet and made to order. Clean grease to the rings were not super oily. Major bonus was that they were not overly seasoned either. Ultimate Boss Burger - I added some pickles and jalapeños and took off the turkey bacon. I got a side of their Nashville hot sauce to add a kick and let me tell you that what it lacked it heat came through in flavor! First Off ( I should have got a single ) the first bite is a instant game changer. Between the cheese pull and the smoke coming off this burger I knew the 11mi drive was worth it. There's a sear on the patties that you can see and taste as this might be the juiciest franchise burger ever. They boast about their grass fed beef but you can tell all the ingredients were intentionally selected to make the best quality product! No short cuts + quality products and lots of pride = an instant classic Burger Boss you've put Tustin on the map!
