CLOSED! So sad. Hope the restaurant that replaces it is good. Where can we go for fresh sushi now?

This is the place for sushi! I love their salmon nigiris... best salmon ever. Buttery and well sliced. Their yellowtail is great too. Each fish cut has their unique taste. Cannot go wrong with the raw fish. Nice mouth feel and dissolves in your mouth (great invisible cuts). The rolls are yummy and the sauces they provide pair well. Sometimes they run out of a specific item and may call you to modify your order so keep a look out for a voicemail/call. The host is also a friendly guy who communicates well. If you get take out, you'll see their clean packaging with labels on what is what. Give it a try if you like sushi. This place is on its own level, not like the AYCE sushi you see everywhere these days. Quality over quantity any day for me.

Gohan is our favorite Japanese place. We are sad to find out September will be their last month there. Staff was super friendly and the food was always fantastic. We wish them the best of luck.

We have been here several times and it holds its ground. The crispy rice and spicy tuna is perfect- rice stays very crispy and warm even after sitting for a few minutes between bites. The sushi and rolls are very reasonably priced compared to other sushi places near by. Also, always look out for yellowtail collar as the special and order a side of rice!

I stopped in to place a to go order so I could take some lunch back to the office during the work day. Not the most inviting interior as it was somewhat dark but then again they were just opening for the day so maybe that was why. The nice man who took my order was very chatty and friendly and that also contributed to my positive experience. The outstanding role was pretty outstanding. It was made well and wrapped very tightly, plus the flavor and the dipping sauce were both delicious.

We ordered the Chicken Bowls (take out only) which came with a side of broccoli and a deliciously sweet orange wedge. The person taking the orders was friendly and service was quick. I was just driving by and actually stopped here because the somewhat redundant restaurant name "rice rice" caught my eye. I think of Gohan as referring to cooked rice and Sushi as vinegar-flavored rice with a topping, so the Captain Obvious name struck me as funny.

Each piece of sushi and sashimi tasted extremely fresh and delicious. Also, their fried dishes (specifically tempura) were well prepared and tasted clean. Friendly service at decent prices for the area. We will definitely become regulars here at Gohan.

This is a very nice spot, which we visited for some quick snack. The personnel is welcoming, the atmosphere is nice, and there is no crowd. Our waiter/host was friendly. The food takes some while to be prepared, but it tasted really nice. The sushi are very fresh, the fish is soft. Nice balance of flavor, and beautifully served dishes.

Delicious food and great staff! Our go-to spot for delicious sushi! I order the sashimi, but their roles are really good too and they have some unique options that you don't see elsewhere.

Came here with a friend on a sushi craving after we had finished our final exams. This place is tucked behind a small strip mall and has heavily tinted windows. I got the salmon nigiri which was good and fatty as well as a spicy crispy Tuna roll. The crispy tuna roll was sweet and spicy and had pretty tender tuna. Overall, I did enjoy the food but the experience was not amazing. I'm not sure if it is because we came during off hours, but every plate and utensil was disposable. Sushi came in a tall disposable box. I see other Yelp photos with actual plates and wonder if it is because I came during an hour with short staff. Overall I questioned whether or not I should have gotten takeout sushi from some place like DelSushi next to my university campus.

The most amazing humble people that serve the most amazingly tasting sushi. I have been coming to this quiet and quaint restaurant with my family for several years.

The staff are so friendly here. I had my first omakase experience here and I enjoyed it. And the best thing is that it's affordable! If you dont want omakase, don't worry they have other menu and tables where you can sit. I would come back.
