This is a fast-casual diner. The service is good, the food is wonderfully mediocre. And that's all you need.

I gave it 4 because of course the food selection isn't the healthiest, but this is not the place you come to for that. I do get salads on occasion. Still the hamburgers are great, fries are crispy (most of the time). The breakfast burritos are great. I get the Chorizo. This is the best place to get comfort food!

John's Place has the local small spot, diner feels and the food is generously portioned and tastes great! Walking in, it feels like a retro diner from an classic American movie! Had the 80's music in the background complete with neon lights across the front of the restaurant! The service was friendly right as we walked in. We were greeted by a couple of the staff right away and were ready to take our order as soon as we got to the front. She was very attentive with our custom order and I got the double cheeseburger with bacon and grilled onions combo. We asked for our fries extra crispy as well. The server also came by during our meal to check with us which I thought was a very nice thing to do. The plate came in hot and looked very appetizing! The fries were crispy just the way we asked and when I picked up the burger it felt heavy in my hand( maybe 2.5 lbs if I had to guess)! The meat was perfectly cooked and with a juicy inside and seasoned well. The bacon was a great add to burger and covered it from the first bite to the last. Altogether, we definitely enjoyed the food, service and overall experience of this restaurant!

Food is ok, I've been here a few times customer service maybe needs to be a little more friendly.

I have been ordering Greek salads here for years but no more. The quality and consistency has gone down down down. Its never the same salad anymore and its now $11. In my salad today from the Tustin location: some lettuce, 4 pieces of cucumber, 4 tomatoe slices, 5 greek olives, some feta. There was hardly any lettuce on it and they used to put red onion on it but I guess no more. It was a small salad and $11 is a little steep for just salad with no protein. I wish they would go back to the way they used to make these nice salads.

The best fried zucchinis in town. And very good pastrami sandwich.

Food was very good. I ordered the gyro and the meat was very tender. We have eaten there many times for all three meals and all were very good and allot for the price. Pricing very reasonable. A great place and service was very good.

My favorite coffee shop in old town Orange County. Baristas are very friendly and will remember what you order if you come in often enough. There is usually plenty of seating and music is subtle and nice.

Exactly 0 cars in drive thru and they made us wait in parking spot for 15 minutes for 2 hamburgers and chicken fingers. Really wanted this place to exceed the reviews as we live around the corner, but the Yelp stars don't lie. About 5 younger crew members standing around chatting as I had to walk back to the window, knock, and then magically food appeared. I don't blame them, this is clearly awful management and ownership giving 0 direction. The burgers were pretty good but the cold fries inedible. Trust the reviews and stay away until someone that cares even slightly takes over.

This is a place that I want to leave 5 stars for. I really do, but the inconsistent cooking will just not let me. When I go here, I order the same thing each time: the double cheeseburger combo with a large lemonade(and I stress the light ice I want). I have been here about 5 times over the last 2 weeks or so. And here is my experience here. Once out of the 5 times, the cheese was not melted on my burger. On a different burger, it was extra greasy and had about half the vegetables that my other burgers came with. The fries I received were one time overcooked (with about 3 bad fries) and then another time undercooked, to where the fries simply would not stay straight when I lifted them to my mouth. And once, the ice was much more than I would consider light. But onto the plus side. Why would I want to leave 5 stars here in the first place? Simply put, when things go right here, they are great. The double cheeseburger here is definitely of a higher quality compared to In-N-Out. And I really think it better than Carl's Jr, too. The fries? They, when things go right, are simply great! They are much better than most fries out there, with only the Del Taco fries perhaps being comparable in how much I like them among major fast food chains. And, although the drink is not as big as some other places, there are several places that do serve their drinks smaller. If you compare this to a #2 combo over at Carl's Jr. (the Superstar with Cheese) and having the upgraded fries and the large drink, which is of comparable cost, when I take a look at these two meals, assuming John's Place gets the order right, I would prefer John's Place.

Ive been coming here for over 5 years now. We eat here twice a week, because they were good and fast in the morning. I always get their chorizo burrito. This morning, I take a bite and there is crispy little pieces of bacon in my burrito. Then I notice , oh how weird there's no grease. So we take the burrito up to the counter and the lady opens it right there in front of me and tells me no bacon,, its chorizo! Well it must have been the burnt pieces from the day before because I've never had crispy chorizo. I'm very disappointed in their customer service tactics, and opening my food with people in line. NOT TO MENTION, her customer service was more important to prove me wrong. Well if I was wrong I'm sorry, just never had my food prepared like that. .i don't know why your employees think they are doing me a favor! I was reading your reviews ND I've never came aCross a place with so many BAD reviews. You guys better change something quick before it's too late. Tustin residences have been Here alot longer. I doubt we will be back.

11/30/21 Dinner 6:45pm This was the last straw. Over the past few months I've noticed the quality of their food has gone down. Today I ordered a bacon cheeseburger at the drive thru. When I got home I took a bite and the bread was hard and stale. I drove the burger back and asked for a new one. I checked the burger before driving away and it seemed fine. When I got home and bit into the burger the bread tasted stale and old too. Into the trash it went. I hope they take a really good look at the quality of food they are serving. I've been coming here for over 10 years. This used to be my go to spot.

I'm a Tustin local that has lived here for the past 13 years. This is a local favorite! What my family loves: any breakfast plate! Ham and eggs or steak and eggs are our usual! For lunch, we typically go with the club sandwich or the chicken strips. Delish! Today I opted for the bacon and egg burrito. Now just look at the amount of bacon!!! I never thought to review this place since us locals, love it. But seeing so many negativity here, I thought I would jump in and share how much my family loves it! PS the drive through lines do get pretty long during the weekend. But that just proves how much we love it! Local tip: order inside. It's faster! You're welcome!

Worst place ever!!! New management new horrible products and horrible service. I asked to talk to the manager, a fork was super dirty, gross. And the burritos pretty small, he reply back I'm not obligating you to come here. ( a party o eight ) we are never come back her again.
