Kettlebar is a neat spot located in the District, where as the name suggests, some of the food is cooked in kettles located at the bar seating area. Gumbo was decent, although I experienced some stomach consequences from the oysters.

This was the second time we've been here and very sad to know they were closing for business the next day (5/21/22). The service is always good. They are very attentive to our needs and very friendly. The food was great! We also ordered calamari for our appetizer and it too was good. I hate to see this location go since it was convenient for us.

We were able to get seated literally half an hour before they closed, and they were very nice about it. They did start cleaning things up and closing stuff off, but they did inform us of last call was without rushing us about ordering and eating. Voodoo fries: seasoned fries loaded with their special tomato sauce, sausage, and crawfish. Despite sounding very tasty, these were a little underwhelming - I would not order them again. My friends got heartier meals (bisques and stews with rice), and they seemed to enjoy them a lot! They looked super rich and delectable. And it was cool how they came with a basket of bread rolls. Maybe next time I'll go for lunch when I'm hungry haha. And it's conveniently located right next to the Union Market!

Ok we went here prob 4-5 yrs ago and honestly it was meh. While waiting for a movie we were walking around and the kids wanted to try this place. I wasn't expecting much given my last experience. To my pleasant surprise I really enjoyed the food here. We had the Bayou basket. Nice fried seafood. Then had the mussels which we wolfed down. Our entrees were the Kettlebar supreme/ jambalaya and the seafood bisque. We had the habanero on the side as the kids couldn't handle the spice. All 3 entrees were delicious. Our favorite was the seafood bisque. It has a nice creamy tomato flavor. Every server was super nice and attentive, checking on us multiple times. So glad we tried it again. Apparently the menu had been completely revamped a couple of years ago. Will be back!

This going to be my favorite place for every Thursday! Fresh oysters were MP ($1.25 each today) Seafood Pan Roast, fried calamari and the side salad were excellent. Very fast friendly servers. The side salad was pretty big, fresh and tasty for $5

Went to Kettlebar a few days ago, was wanting to try it for a really long time and glad I did. Had the pan roast which was really awesome. Flavor was on point. They did forget my side salad and after I asked to cancel it halway through my meal, I was given an option to have one comped on the house. Glad I accepted as the salad was great! Servers were super nice and checked in regularly on how we were doing. Definitely will be back.

Johnny got us a table well ahead of the waitlist time, Jannet was our waitress and was amazing she was on top of it making sure our waters were always topped off. Even someone from the bar came over and she asked if I needed a refill on my Martini. The staffs energy, kindness, and attentiveness were exceptional. Not only is the food amazing, but you're going to get 5 star service and and feel like a VIP guest here! Shout out to the entire staff the service was equally as good as the food.

I stopped in last night Thursday and had six $1.50 raw oysters and a bowl of gumbo with chicken and sausage. It was fabulous. The gumbo was as good or better than any gumbo I have had before, even in New Orleans. The staff was very friendly and checked in with me several times to make sure I had everything. I will be recommending this place to friends and visit again.

Wow. A-MAZING!! This place is such a gem. I stumbled upon this business through Yelp when my go-to restaurant was closed, similar to this one, and I'm so glad my family and I stopped by. My honey enjoys a blackberry bourbon cocktail, and fortunately, this restaurant has a full bar and an outstanding bartender who made it happen. Although this drink was not on the menu, the bartender was able to make the drink, and let me tell you... the presentation? WOOOW!!! Kettlebar pan roast supreme is a 10/10--perfect portion for two, and the garlic bread pairs well with, of course. The entree had a good amount of lobster and shrimp. We chose medium as the spice, it is the perfect amount since we can still enjoy the soup but with a great kick. Our lil guy got the kids cup of chowder. Great portion for the little ones. We got to taste some as well, and the soup itself is soooo rich. Not only because the food is amazing but the service is excellent. Jannet was our server tonight, she had great suggestions and was on point with table touching with us. To add in, every team member that stopped at our table was awesome too. This restaurant will be on our monthly rotation list when we don't feel like cooking or when the cold weather makes us crave some soup!

I would give this place more stars and I hope to experience the food/service in-person in the future. I'm from the south and I love southern food! My review is based on my to-go experience. My partner and I ordered our food the day before Fat Tuesday. We were so excited to try it! Kettlebar goes though grubhub for their delivery service. We got a notice that our food was on the way! We got a call from the restaurant just as the food was delivered sharing that the grubhub person mixed up the orders and wanted to know if the other customer who got our order could come to our place to switch our the orders. Due to the pandemic, we didn't feel comfortable doing that, so we said no and we are fine to keep this order. We understand that thing happen. That same associate from the restaurant who called us gave my cell phone number to the other customer and they kept on calling and texting to get their food. I was so caught off guard by this and called the restaurant. John was the manager and was quick to spring into action to help us. We kept the food that was delivered to us and sent more food to the other customer. The feedback I gave John was that I didn't appreciate that my cellphone number was given out without my permission to other customers. He felt so bad and rest assured that this will not happen, again. I LOVED the food! It took me back home to Louisiana! I want to go back and try their food in the future, but I will visit the restaurant.

Items that the restaurant does not have are still showing up on the GH app. Johnny was patient, swift, helpful and smoothed over an annoying app situation. I appreciate the awesome customer service. Yelp waiting list said zero wait. Got there and there was a long line with people yelling to the staff. When we finally got to the front, they said "it's going to be a long wait" and refused to give us a wait time. I sensed that they wanted everyone to not wait just leave.

My family and I came here on a Thursday and ordered the daily special. We got a dozen Raw Fresh Oysters and I ordered the $6 glass of Chardonnay. The Oysters were soo yummy! I just wish they were a bit saltier but that's okay since we got the daily special. We also ordered the Voodoo Fries. These fries were addicting! The flavor of the bone marrow was delicious. Lastly, we shared the Kettlebar Pan Roast. I kept saying "Mmm" the whole time because it was so good!! Everything we ordered tasted so mouthwatering. Also, Dana was so nice and so funny omg. 10/10 customer service

This was the hardest place to find at the district as there are no signage outside. Once found the food and service is top notch. They have a special build your seafood dish menu. I had the captain seafood pan roast and it was delicious. Surprisingly price is very reasonable. Give it a try.
