That's what $20 pad Thai gets you these days I guess. You be the judge

The decor is clean, bright, cutely lime-themed and fresh. It's a moderately intimate space, I don't believe they can seat more than 35. We arrived at 5pm and were seated immediately. 30 minutes after we started seeing queue and lines forming and spotted a line on our way out of the restaurant too.Onto the food:The claim to fame, LA's best of 2023 Khao Soi with Soft Shell Crab. - the crab was so yum and the soup was flavorful. I appreciated the satay chili and pickled mustards served with the soup. I wouldn't get again as I'm not a fan of curry-tasting soups, but it was nice to try.Crab Fried Rice - very flavorful and generous portions of crab. don't forget to use the lime sauce, completely elevates this dish. This is the one dish I would get again although the fried rice with thai egg omelette sounds really delish too.Penang Curry - not a bad iteration but I didn't love the strong peanut flavor. The pricing is about 33% higher than the average Thai dish spot (say average is $15 so Manaao's is $20). 3 entrees, tax and tip for us came out to $100.Service:The service was good; as it's an intimate space, it was easy to raise our hand and get attention immediately if needed. The servers were also good about checking in at regular intervals.

We ordered their most popular dish which was featured in LA Times's, the Khao Soi Noodle with braised beef. You can choose your protein of choice for the Khao Soi Noodle: braised beef, braised chicken, soft shell crab, or braised duck breast. The yellow curry-based soup tasted heavenly and the braised beef was amazingly tender. All in all, I would give this dish a 10 out of 10!The creamy tom yum soup tastes good as well, a bit more creamy than the regular tom yum soup (you can ask for lactose-free milk for this dish if needed). It came with mushrooms and about 6 pieces of medium sized shrimp.Insta: @hangrytrails.us

The atmosphere is really comfortable, the limes on the wall make for a cool background character. I tried the yellow shrimp curry and it was perfect. Not too spicy but also it had red potatoes carrots and onions. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

I love the service and how much attention the restaurant put into their food quality. Unfortunately, the taste of the food is anything but disappointing (sorry). Each dishes that I ordered just didn’t hit the mark in terms of the robustness and boldness of flavor that Thai cuisine is known for. The flavor of the food is way too light and it is not an accurate representation of the food you will find in Thailand. This is the part where the restaurant can take note to improve the experience of their future customers.

The food at this restaurant is generally good, but the service is terrible. The waitstaff doesn't smile. It took quite a while after being seated for someone to bring us menus, and even longer for our food to arrive after we placed our order. Because there were many people waiting outside for a table, we hurried to finish our meal. Then the waiter cleared our dirty plates and even took away our water glasses, leaving a mess on the table. My child wanted dessert, so we ordered, but then we sat beside the bare table for a long time waiting. After a while, the waiter came over and told us that the dessert was packed to go. (We had already told them we wanted to eat it here; we didn't ask for it to be packed.) I was really angry at that moment. We hadn't finished yet, were they trying to rush us out? Even if there were many people waiting outside, you shouldn't rush your customers out; it's very impolite. Moreover, we had already hurried through our meal, most of the time we waitedfor our dishes. In the end, I left an 18% tip, which was the lowest suggested tip amount. Usually, we don't tip less than 20% for dinner, but honestly, the service at this place made me not want to tip at all.

They asked us to wait outside in the rain with a 4 year old child when we were next on the wait list. The food is decent but not worth the poor attitude and service approach. That's a sign of how we will be treated once seated, no thought for the patron. We ended up canceling, so at least we were respectful in this situation.

Been seeing this all over social media and it's decent! The line was about an hour on a Saturaday at 5:30, so definitely get here as early as possible. I recommend getting onto the Yelp wait list ASAP. The plaza is pretty small with limited parking but it shouldn't be an issue if you're early- the ambiance is super colorful and cute. We tried the Pad Thai and the Green curry. The pad thai wasn't as saucy as we thought it would be and wasn't as flavorful as we would've expected. However, the green curry w/ roti was solid! Definitely flavor packed and the right balance of spice. Not sure if it's possible, but would recommend subbing roti with rice since rice is an extra 4$.

Food was amazing and the server was extremely helpful! Was a little pricy at $20 a dish but was worth it for the portions! Very cute place too! You can join the Yelp wait list beforehand or do it when you get there. I came on a Wednesday night and the wait was around an hour when I added myself in person just as a warning! It's popular because it's good! What we ate: Barley Oolong Tea - nice flavor notes Khao Soi - went with the chicken because it sounded interesting and boy was I glad with my decision, it was tender and juicy and the broth and noodles were amazing. Got a mild spice but that was a little too mild for me and ended up dumping the chili oil in lol. 10/10 Panang Curry - could just be a personal preference but it was a little bit on the sweeter side for our tastes but the flavor was still very good and the braised beef was soft and tender. The spice helped with the sweetness a little. 7/10 Will be back!

Food was so good! We waited an hour on a Sunday night but it was worth it. Tried their Khao Soi, Green Curry, Pad Thai and Coconut Ice Cream.

Food was amazing! Place was very cozy with a cute interior. The staff was super helpful in providing recommendations as well. Definitely try the khao Soi. The chicken breasts were huge pieces!! It was so flavorful and we got roti to dip the curry in it. Also tried the mama Tom yum (with mama noodles). Between 2 people this was so much food! Would come back to try other items on the list
