Popped in for a Saturday lunch, had chicken enchiladas and a carne asada taco, wife had al pastor and shrimp tacos. Food was delicious - even the beans were tasty! Chicken had a fantastic flavor and was still juicy. All of the meats were spot-on in both flavor and cook. Everything was fantastic! We'll be back!!

Wow! They have really good green chicken pozole! The chicken was delicious and the green sauce has great flavor! It has a little heat and they give you lots of the toppings...see picture. I've been searching for a place with good pozole and I found it!

The food was delicious but my group and I waited up to 45 minutes to get our food. We had to eat fast as we were there for a limited time on a lunch break. One person in our group had to take their food to go and ate in the car. I don't recommend it if you are in a hurry.

So slow and disorganized. I waited over 20 minutes and ended up just asking for a refund. Waste of my lunch time.

I've been to Maruca's about 6 different times and will continue to come back! The quality of food is always fresh, authentic, made to order, and reminds me of my mom's food. I specifically like this place because the toppings on some of their food like the enchiladas have toppings that I'm used to seeing in authentic Mexican restaurants such as lettuce, cotija cheese, and onion. The enchiladas are also rolled and fried and not baked in an oven. I recommend the following items: - tacos gobernador: tacos gobernador are made with marinated shrimp and delicious melted Oaxaca cheese - Cafe de Olla: it's hard to find cafe de olla in many Mexican restaurants and always gave to get it when I'm here. They have an iced and hot version -Enchiladas: They have chicken, bean, cheese, and shrimp on either a green sauce or red sauce -Chilaquiles with egg that can be ordered with a green sauce or red sauce. The vibe is youthful and modern and staff are friendly. I'd say my only complaint is how early they close during the week so I'm typically here on weekends.

I was super excited to come here after reading some of the reviews here on Yelp. Their food and Micheladas looked blissful. Unfortunately I did not have the opportunity to try any of their offerings. This review is strictly on the service or should I say lack there of. Upon entering, no one was at the service counter, granted they were helping people. We patiently waited for around a minute at the front counter. The server walk past us and not give us any instruction as far as what we needed to do, so we thought we just had to sit ourselves and menus would be provided to us. Unfortunately for us, our 10 minute wait sitting at the table was in vain. Not once to the server come to acknowledge us or tell us we had an order at the front or hand us menus. at the time there was a total of four people in the restaurant, so for the server not to look talk or even acknowledge us. We decided to leave. When leaving the server was at the front, didn't acknowledges or give us any type of interaction. I hope this review reaches management, so that they're better able to attend their patrons that choose to dine with them.

Don't let the presentation of the food fool you. I had to eat these stale a** nachos. I would have returned it but I don't live close by. The guy gave me 1 green salsa and I had to ask for more. I mean how is anyone suppose to enjoy a large portion of nachos with 1 small salsa?

Very good food and friendly, quick service. I usually get the 3 taco plate with either asada or al pastor. The meats are tender and flavorful and the creamy green salsa they have is a 10/10. Give this place a shot. They deserve it.

Love the pozole verde at this place!!! It is by far one of the best pozoles I have had. Just the right mix of flavor and spice that leaves you craving for more. I have promised myself to try some of their other things, but I never do because I enjoy the pozole. One of these days, I will try the rest of the menu. The only thing that would make this place even better is if they post the correct hours. Hence why it gets knocked off one star. It usually says that they close at 7:30, but have arrived at 7 several times and the place has been closed. It would definitely help if business hours are updated.

When I first came to this spot I used to live down the street. Food was great. Flavorful. The owner or whoever was running the show at the time. Was very passionate. I see this time and time again. They step away. Profits, and quality suffers. But most of all the food tastes passionless. What a shame for what used to be a great little Spot. Their carne asada tacos tasted more of big cut onions than a good steak. The meat looked almost minced gravy ish. And the pozole soup was bland and had three pieces of fatty pork. Little to no hominy. Again soulless. When a restaurant forgets it's roots of cooking. It's done. I wish them well if they get it together.

The food here is great, very delicious and the micheladas are tasty. However the time to be served is VERY VERY VERY LONG! The servers are friendly however they are inexperienced and forgetful. I recommend they hire another cook and take time to properly train the servers on how to wait a table. If these things are changed I will change my review to 5 stars because I am a frequent customer and I enjoy the food here.

Mango aguachile and the ceviche de camaron here are fire. I believe the chef here said he's from Guerrero (Mexico), so whatever recipe he uses is really good.Service here gets backed up a bit, but overall the food makes up for that. They also use their own michelada mix + chamoy, so those are super tasty.Highly recommend if you like ceviche/aguachile

Glancing at the pictures of the ambience, I thought it was too American so I had my prejudices. However, I was happy to see a fellow Chicano who attended us efficiently. Being our first time, I asked the difference between their red and green enchiladas-- and he was able to compare the ingredients and each experience. I was delighted with his descriptive words so chose green. Afterwards, we ate flan which was fluffy and the right dash of sweetness.

WOW I was thoroughly impressed. This spot had amazing food for a very reasonable price, and the staff were all incredibly kind. The food: My friend and I both got the 3 taco combo. I got chicken and chorizo, and my friend got shrimp. We both agreed all options were delicious! The quality was out of this world, and for $9 you get 3 tacos with rice and beans. Not only affordable, but again, the quality felt like it should be much more than the price we paid!! Also how cute are these wooden plates that they serve the food on?! Lots of attention to detail here. The staff: I have to start by saying a big big thank you to the staff. They are definitely LGBTQ+ friendly. My friend is trans, and everyone treated her with the utmost respect. They came by our table many times to ask if we needed anything else, and I appreciate how kind they were to us both. Overall, I would 100% recommend this spot based on the food and the lovely staff. Thank you!! We will be back for more yummy tacos!
