TLDR: Delivery stolen from Sal's, but Sal's is forcing me to Pay.I ordered a 16" Grandma's Brooklyn Cheese earlier this evening from Sal's. I ordered through Sal's website to avoid DoorDash, but I discovered they subcontract their delivery through DoorDash anyway. Oh well. After the order flipped through several drivers, my order was canceled but not refunded. I called Sal's and they said the DoorDasher stole my pizza. I asked for a refund, and they refused, telling me to call DoorDash. How does that make any sense?I ordered through the Sal's website to avoid DoorDash in the first place. If Sal's can't trust the delivery drivers they subcontract, that's a problem between Sal's and DoorDash. Why am I paying for it?Check #52 ordered at 5:10PM on 3/28/2024 at the Park Ave location in Tustin.UPDATE: We called DoorDash and spoke to a human being. DoorDash ended up calling Sal's and persuaded/convinced/forced Sal's to process a refund for the full amount. Additionally, DoorDash open an investigation into the theft so that hopefully, no one else would get their food stolen from this person.I'm leaving this review up because Sal's refused to cooperate until I brought in DoorDash to advocate for me.

As a New Yorker in SoCal, I wish for better pizza. Sal’s delivers the taste of home every time! It’s great stuff!

The pizza dough wasn’t cooked properly the green peppers, onions and sausage was cut so big and was raw. The cheese was partially on the dough. And lady was rude.Do not waste your money at this place.

14" ny half cheese half pepperoni pizza for about $20. Quick and satisfying after school snack/meal for two hungry picky kids.

Okay this place is a gem. I absolutely love that they offer pizza by the slice in a large variety of flavors. It's truly a good price for the slice as well. If you are looking for a place that offers a small town pizzeria feeling, this is your place. They have only a few tables inside the restaurant but right outside there is a lot of places to enjoy the pizza. Overall the pizza has phenomenal flavors in the sauce. Truly a pizza I would go out of my way to try again.

I just don't get you Sal. I've had your pizzas before and when they're good they're about the closest I've had to a good NYC slice. But when their bad; Marrone, what an embarrassment! And so many instances of bad over good. Generally speaking I order from the MV location, but from some odd reason the staff could never seem to comprehend when requesting half of anything doesn't mean drowning that half to the point of pizza non-existence.So today I gave the Lake Forest location a try via Uber Eats. I was getting concerned that it seemed to be taking a little longer then expected to get my delivery and my pizza might be cold. Of course it was cold, but can I blame the driver? Nope. While it may be cold it's not even cooked all the way through. (So much for my "well done crust" request). Not fully cooked, incredibly bland any it's the first time I've heard someone describe the taste of a pizza like it was BOILED! I give up Sal- when it comes to your pizzas, Fuhgeddaboudit!

Reminder - Never judge a book by its cover. I've passed here numerous times and never walked in. Saw a great deal and was in the mood for pizza, so we took it. And so glad we did!! The garden pizza was YUM. My kiddo loved the pepperoni pizza. And husband liked the supreme. Next time grabbing a slice and headed to the movies next store.

Hands-down, the best, freshest, tastiest pizza in the area. If you can get it fresh straight out of the oven, even better. The 18 inche is so big, you actually save money coming here versus a chain pizza joint. The cannoli are amazing. And the customer service is New Jersey great. Try the "Greek," it's our favorite!

Came back to try their garlic knots and I definitely stand by my previous review. They are very generous with their garlic and the pull of the knot itself was soft, warm, and satisfying. I wish they offered more flavors by the slice. The service here was not outstanding but overall, this is a cute pizza shop with pretty decent New York style pizza.

This pizza place is cool the pizza is made fresh it's not your commercial pizza so if your in the district and have kids this place is cool to catch a quick bite

From reviews and a desire for East Coast New York style pizza ordered delivery. Customized a pepperoni with bell peppers and onion. The sturdy box arrived, no vents. The toppings were great. I can’t remember the last time a pizza eatery took the expense to give you green AND red, yellow bell peppers and the ratio was great! The thinner crust was close but maybe the trip home left the under carriage very greasy and too soft. You could still get the dusty, crusty char on the crust and I’m sure it’s better straight out of the oven.

The pizza is SO GOOD!! It’s always consistent every time I come! I like to come once a week when I see at movie at AMC. The price is ok and the staff is sometimes quiet and disengaged but they are all friendly and helpful. The food comes out fast! I want to try the garlic knots next
