Honestly this place is pretty good. It's pretty run down but it wasn't disgusting. The interior has seen better days but that adds to the hole in the wall-like charm. Didn't have a problem with the scissors like some others reviews mentioned. The biggest reason I could not bump this review to a four star in good faith is because the side-selection is garbage! Why is it SO limited??? As someone allergic to I was disappointed even more-so that some of the few sides they offered all seemed to have fish in them!

My wife and I were craving Korean bbq, decided to give Songhak a try since BaekJeong and all that bbq had 30 min + waits (Sunday night). To be completely honest we will never go here again, we love to eat and trying new places! But even if this place was $10 AYCE we would rather go somewhere else. I'm not sure how this place has such a good rating tbh. The meat quality is so tough and dry. The beef tongue was okay, their "wagyu beef belly" was one of the toughest meats I tried. I could barely break it down and swallow. They have 3 panchans when you arrive (all stale). Their "salad bar" is zucchini's, onions, and jalapeños. Such a underwhelming experience, and the front host / manager with glasses is rude.

On our first visit here we encountered an extremely rude and unprofessional manager who accused us of coming before and "over ordering"??? We had never been there before so we were so confused and also so flabbergasted at his poor judgement and rude demeanor. Since we had driven so far, we still decided to dine in because we were already sat down at that point. Food was just as disappointing with the poor meat quality and mid tier sides. Ambience of the place felt old and outdated, servers all have a similar vibe of being "too cool" to be attentive to you and were all just wandering around the restaurant and talking with one another. We had to wait minutes on end to get their attention for grill changes, more food, etc. Overall, if the initial encounter upon entry wasn't already horrible, the rest of our experience left a bad taste in our mouths and we will not be coming back nor would I suggest this place to anyone.

The good here is great, we love the marinades and the selection. The place is a bit run down and the staff is not nice and rather abrupt. With a confirmed reservation, they won't seat you until everyone is there. We were maybe five minutes early and it was raining outside and cold and waiting on our last person to arrive and they advised us that they have no waiting area and we need to go outside. They could've practiced good customer service and seated us, being understanding of the weather. Is love to give this place 5 stars for the food, but maybe fix up the holes in the seats, clean the floor so it isn't slippery, give scissors that actually cut, be nice to customers and I'll change my eating.

Went beyond my expectations! First time here and it was delightful. The price for eat all you can kbbq is super worth it. Went for dinner here and the staff were nice and attentive. You have sides to choose from, and some meat selections in the counter. The pricey meat selections like wagyu and stuff are ordered through the waiter. Organized and clean. I'm impressed. The sides of fish cakes and japchae are so tasty!!! The cuts of beef is also very nice and fresh. I had an amazing time here, and will definitely come back! The moneys worth it for the price of eat all you can KBBQ!!

It's been a while since I went there, thinking of my old Korean barbecue place... I had to order all the basic side dishes before I went, so I ordered tripe separately, but I was disappointed because it was so expensive that the portions were small and the taste was too bitter.

Really wanted KBBQ for a "cheap" price so I decided to check out Songhak. Yes, what you get is what you pay for. In all honesty though, Im personally not particular when it comes to quality so I was satisfied with most things. They had a bar where you can get different marinated meat and also meat that you can order from the menu. It's pretty short-staffed in my opinion so the service was ok. There were workers that did come and check up on us which was nice. It just took a while for us to get our check If you're looking to be satisfied at a low price for AYCE, I would suggest this place! Food is food

Hollllyyy crap this place was so good. The food was unbelievably good compared to other places like Gen. The spicy pork belly had my friend and I sent to heaven u have to get it. The corn cheese wasn't my favorite compared to other places but still good. U have to go

This place is AWESOME! The staff is so friendly! I brought my kids here and they were so kind and so playful with them! They treated us like family!!! It's pretty much self serve but they also have their premium meats which is very good quality meat!! High selection of different drink items!!! Everything so amazing and it's such a vibe! Great place to bring a big group of friends or family! I HIGHLY recommend this place!

Very cheap for AYCE, even with the premium. Food was super delicious and everything came out relatively quick after ordering. Service was also fast, friendly, and attentive with lots of people constantly checking up on tables and checking if the grills needed changed. Much appreciated!
