No respond from phone or on line. Even drove by and nobody was there. It looks so nice. A shame you can't go there.

After three phone calls and several emails-still no response. Can't answer their phone or an email do you do not know if they are open or accepting reservations. Have wanted to go here after reading about it in Tea Time. What a shame! They must not need business or want any. No problem-will never go here.

Can't experience anything if they don't answer 3 voicemails or an email. What a sham

Love it. Feels like a restaurant you'd find in NYC. Food is great, location is great in the heart of old town Orange County. Free parking across street. Order and pay at counter. Limited seating on weekends but worth it. Really nice food, great quality, not too pricey.

Haven't even been yet but every time I try to call it goes straight to voicemail, you can't even reach them though their website.

I really did not want to have to write this review, but I think it's important to warn people about my experience with this place. A couple of years ago I wanted to take my Mother here for Mother's Day. I called early enough in the season, but could not get a reservation for about 6 weeks. So we pushed back our celebration because I thought, hey, at least it will be special, right? The day before we were due for our long awaited tea, they called me and cancelled. They said something about a family emergency. I thought it odd, because this is a professional business. This really left me short sided, as I had no backup reservation. Fortunately, another tea house could take us on short notice so we were able to still have Mothers Day in ( in June). I should have written this review right then, but my better angels took control. This is a small business and maybe things do happen. I get it. Fast forward to this year. My friends and I like to go to tea for our birthdays. Mine was coming up so a friend suggested this place. I agreed because I really thought that the earlier incident was a one-off. They seem legitimate and professional. We made the reservation albeit at an earlier time than we wanted but that's what they had. Two days before the reservation-you guessed it. They canceled us, again leaving us scrambling at the last minute. This time something about Coronavirus fears. Not making this up, that's what they actually said. As I write this, there is not a single case of the virus anywhere near us and literally every other business is open as usual. My friend thinks what really happened is they didn't sell whatever minimum they want for the day so they just canceled. So to sum up-if you are looking for a cute place for a special occasions, look elsewhere. This place is not dependable and they will leave you holding the bag.

Great place! Great food! Great cocktails! And great staff! Our hostess, Molly, was the best and Arash was responsive and very accommodating. We will be back !!

I would skip McCharles Tea Room. No one will call you back to make a reservation. We tried four times leaving a message and no one bothers to call back. There were two of us trying to call and they never pick up the phone. I would assume the service for tea is just as bad. Try Los Rios in San Juan. You can make a reservation and the people are so accommodating. Atmosphere is beautiful and tea is wonderful. Too bad Mc Charles House. You lost our business and we love to go to Tea.

I'd love to come and have tea here but I can't seem to get a response. Their customer service is non existent.

I went there today to have tea and it was closed. Online it says they are open. I had tried calling but got an answering machine.

Not really a good set up for a wedding reception. The guests were too broken from each other and some even had their tables taken away to make room for the dance floor
