I like the shokupan loaf and the baguette sandwiches are tasty light meals. I really think the ham/swiss/cornichon baguette is my favorite, the crunch from the cornichons is really delightful. This location doesn't have curry buns though, which is criminal!

Their sandwiches are fabulous. The chicken salad is seasoned just right. I had mine on wheat.Parking: End location in a strip mall, so parking in front and on the end.

I was there yesterday around noon with a friend, she wanted to go there.I ordered one of those baguette sandwiches, the Parisian with ham one super thin slice, one thin piece of Gruyère cheese, cornichons. I asked them to warm it up, they did, but cheese did not melt. Did not like it, sooo whatever. Also ordered a capuchino, it was a little weak. My friend ordered a turkey sandwich ad it certainly had more meat with lettuce, tomatoes, etc.Service was good and fast. Many tables were dirty needed to be wiped.Plenty of parkingI do not love the place

I picked up a small slice of the ganash chocolate cake. It was good. Not worth 6$ for a tiny slice but i must admit it was tasty. If the slice was cheaper I would go back but I likely won't just from a value perspective.

Everything used to be a lot better at Andersen Bakery. I feel like most things went up in price, portions are smaller and the quality of the ingredients is not what it used to be. Don’t get me wrong, food It’s still good. The service could really improve, as far as how long it takes to get your food. Only one person in the kitchen isn’t enough when lots of people are coming in to eat breakfast. This morning they were also out of our favorite drink, Sobe Tea and that was a bummer. We recommend the Spicy Turkey Pepper Jack on Ciabatta bread and pair it up with the Tomato Ravioli Soup, our favorite. Plenty of parking

First time because it was recommended for sandwiches and baked goods. I tried the Saigon sandwich and disappointed ?. It was definitely not a bammi(sp) as expected. The bread did not taste special made (more like store bought) and miserly on the filling. Over-priced for this sandwich. Will just stick with bakery, if I return.

Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting Anderson Bakery in Union City, California, and I must say, my experience was delightful. Opting for their combo deal, I chose the tomato soup with a half sandwich. The soup was a revelation - rich, hearty, and perfectly seasoned, offering a comforting embrace with every spoonful. It paired beautifully with the sandwich, which was a culinary masterpiece in its own right. The sandwich, featuring grilled chicken and sautéed mushrooms, was a harmony of flavors. The chicken was cooked to perfection, juicy and tender, while the mushrooms added a wonderful earthiness that complemented the meat beautifully. The bread, presumably baked in-house, was fresh, soft on the inside with a slight crunch on the outside, making it the perfect vessel for the delicious fillings.Overall, the meal was a testament to the quality and care that Anderson Bakery puts into their food. It's not just a meal, it's an experience - one that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a satisfying lunch in Union City. Anderson Bakery has certainly earned a repeat customer in me!

I ordered the premium white bread which is always great. I then ordered a Creamy French, at the price we now pay it was not worth it as it had hardly any creamy custard and the bread was stale. It used to be delicious but not anymore, I won’t be ordering it at the Union City location again.
