One server here is the best server they have here. Very respectful and friendly. There are times he would offer to walk us out and help us carry a lot of the to go orders I put in. I tried everything in their menu. Their chicken inasal is the best and bangus is good too the rest has no taste. For the inside of the restaurant the tables are dirty and they need to clean all the time.

Good selection of foods. Not a big fan of their sisig tho. I love that all meals come with lumpia. though, the lumpia, some days doesn't taste the same, I'd still come here to eat. I feel like I've tried everything in their menu already. like what I mentioned, I'm not a fan of their sisig and Inasal. their sisig has bell peppers and japapeno. i don't think they should be there. the inasal taste like bbq because it's sweet but surprisingly really tender and juicy.

I had an sig sig burrito from here last year and it was amazing!I just had another and it took 20 minutes and was only slightly warm. The flavors and textures did not excite me like the first time I had a burrito from them. Bummer.

How did I end up here? Well, I had a 1st option, so awfully rude and my friend suggested we go here. We'll it's a new owner and much more friendlier than our 1st option. The food was freshly cooked I ordered the pork sisig with lumpia that came with garlic rice topped with an egg and my friend had the tapa that also came with lumpia, garlic rice topped with a fried egg. It was hot of the grill and very tasty. My friend ended up ordering a meal togo for her spouse. The ambiance was humbling, much nicer than what was there formerly. This not some fancy pancy place. It's just fine for a chill anyday when I'm hungry place to eat. It is going to be my goto from now on, especially when I'm next door doing my laundry. I thank them for being so kind and generous in our portions. We both left full and satisfied.

I can't even describe how the food tastes. Went all over Union City trying to find one that's open. Found this place and the guy working in the back told us that he can't help us because the cashier left. We asked when the cashier will be back and he said "he doesn't know". Then we asked if we can still place an order and in a rude voice he says "sorry" and walks back to the back. Smh.

The portions of the meals here are a complete rip off. For the k6 meal I believe it’s a small drumstick and two scoops of rice with 3 very thin very small pieces of those lunpia things for like 17 dollars smh total. The picture of the food on their menu is not what you actually get when you buy it. It’s misleading the paying customers

Kabayan Kusina opened where Kapok's was. Similar decor with a flatscreen added at front right corner. Inside dining only . Some orders are to go.Drill: order at counter, picked up food 10 minutes later. Offerings: breakfast, burritos, sides, appetizers, pork, seafood, noodles. Soups...Eats: Menudo-charged 18, listed @15.50-unlike Mexican version, pork meat, not tripe. -"pork stew" from braised pork meat in tomato sauce with raisins, carrots, green peppers, sugar, onions, garlic, bay leaves.-tasted overly sweet, pork was semi-chewy, not tenderObviously reheated, not made from scratch. 3ish stars for lackluster quality, "overcharging". Doubtful repeat. October is Filipino American Heritage Month.

I was craving for Sinigang and saw this Kabayan Foods in Seafood City. It's like you're in the Philippines because the show is also "It's Showtime" Kuya is kind. Had my Pansit Malabon with BBQ and Lumpia?

This place has changed ownership. A couple times and even changed names. The food has always been consistently good. Nothing super amazing but a solid place for Filipino breakfast. They always let me get a tapa bangus combo even though it's not on the menu. The kids LOVE the Tokwat Baboy.

I came across this place by being in Union City around 4pm and my gf been wanting pancit bihon for weeks. Knowing that there probably wouldn't be a restaurant who could match my aunt's, it couldn't hurt to see if this place came close. I ended up ordering:Pancit BihonChicken AdoboPork Sinigang (my personal favorite Filipino dish in general)The TL;DR:I would order all of these items again. I wouldn't say this place is driving 25-30 mins worthy but I'd eat here again. I definitely would want to come around breakfast to try their silog options. The pancit was pretty good. It had Chinese sausage and fried garlic on top. The noodles were well cooked and the portion was worth the price too. It's not comparable to my aunt's, my gf agreed too and that's very biased but had to put that in there. It was missing that (I don't really use this word seriously) umami. Chicken adobo: it was very "rich" in flavor and by that I mean oil, but that's how you know it's a real order of adobo. There was a good portion of meat and it had that familiar adobo taste. Pork Sinigang: It tasted like pork Sinigang and the pork chunks had a good amount of fat on them, the best part. It was packed with veggies like onions, okra, tomatoes, eggplant and (I think)mustard greens. I have to note that the peppercorns were oddly large but maybe they just weren't black pepper corns.
