Horrible service, had to get up and find a server 4 times to get soy sauce and water and had to ask for the check 3 times. The food was so bland, it was oil-soaked and flavorless.Edit: there were 3 tables

Had dinner for four tonight at Dongpo Kitchen, the food was ok, not great, orange chicken was extremely over fried and hard to eat. Though the worst part was the SERVICE or lack thereof. Surprisingly, the entire dining experience a waiter or waitress NEVER came to our table, we had to ask someone to order, had to go find someone for water, had to go find someone for to-go containers. I literally had to even go find someone just to pay the bill. No one would even make eye contact. Was so weird. We are a relaxed family that asks for little, but this was horrible service, toward closing time. I cannot recommend, and would advise people steer clear, until management makes some changes.

Our family loved our meal!! Favorite dishes included the kung pao chicken, crispy orange chicken, dan dan noodles, and the wonton soup. We ended our meal with the buns dipped in sweetened condensed milk sauce which was a kid favorite! It was expensive but well worth the speedy and hospitable service, quality and amount of food our whole family enjoyed.

Don't go here, wish I could turn back time or just follow my gut. The reviews were 3.2 stars and I made us walk out and we wanted to go somewhere else. Then I felt like I wasn't being fair and I thought maybe I need to give a look at what they say before we judge. The top horrible reviews were around slow service and how expensive it was... But man not how bland the food was, how the menu selection was not that great and the food was just awful! When I saw bland, I mean BLAND.ike zero taste to the fried rice. I look at pictures on here and my dried rice has NO color to it but maybe a white and very light cream. The noodles tasted like water. No seasoning. it was so pricey and I left feeling violated because I wasn't full, nor satisfied, I was still hungry, and everyone at the table felt that way. My friend has come here before and she was shocked at the quality. 200$ for 3 adults and 1 7 year olds like what??? Oh yes $55 bottle of cheap wine. By the way couldn't even change my child because there was no diaper changing station. That was a fun experiment, NOT! She ended up peeing all over herself on the ride home because it's not easy changing a child standing up.If it smells good but the reviews are bad... Don't fall for it. We bought pizza at the hotel after... We shouldn't have to do that!

Let me tell you about my experience today. I walked in and stood at the podium to request a table for my family of 8. The waitresses just watched me until I finally had to walk up to one of them and ask if I’m suppose to seat myself. It seemed as if I was bothering her, but she pushed two tables together to accommodate us. Mind you, it’s about 2pm on a Thursday and wasn’t busy at all. Clearly, we are a black family. I watched a couple enter after us (Chinese woman and white male) and get seated, receive water, and eventually their food, still without a waitress even coming over to say hello or bring us water. At that point we called the waitress over to ask what’s the deal. She rolled her eyes and went to grab her notepad as my mom asked if we could order. She didn’t know I saw it. At that point the racism was CLEAR. Our family got up from the table and told her we no longer wanted to eat there, to which she dismissed us like she didn’t care. I never leave reviews but Asians make so much money off of black people in various industries, to treat us horribly. I would never attempt to eat at Dongho again.

Came in 59 minutes till closing and we got turned away that is was closed I looked at their hours and it says it was still open. Don't know if things work like this but don't ever remember being turned away. To many experiences where they have not been the best. It's unfortunate as we got such great service our first visit! seems we have had a lot of bad luck with them on numerous times. The service is horrible you have to hunt them down we have tried and have them so many opportunities but I guess we won't be coming here again. Time to find another place. The sushi next door to them is better great service go there instead.

The food is delicious. Would recommend trying the duck. The service is nice. And the restaurant looks nice and clean.

We ordered 4 menus, the Chef literally fried or steamed frozen orangechicken and frozen bao which is over $20 per dishes. Noodles had no taste but salty. Server kept telling me in Chinese no matter what I speak. Such a waste of almost $100!!!!

Conveniently located in City Walk right next to Universal Studios. Came here for dinner after Universal Studios closed. When we checked into the self-check-in kiosk at the front entrance, it looked like 15 people ahead of us, but the waitress was able to seat us immediately. Lots of indoor seating. Place was beautifully decorated. Bright, family friendly, patient staff as we took forever to figure out what we wanted to eat. Eventually we ordered the dan dan noodles, orange chicken, and dumplings. Everything was delicious! We love spicy and the dan dan noodles and dumplings definitely had a nice kick to them. Orange chicken was crispy and the best I have tasted in my life, and you have to order rice separately. Price for dishes seemed marked up compared to other Chinese restaurants. Whatever you do, don't use the woman's restroom, lol. The trash bins were overflowing in there and there was urine on the toilet seat. Doesn't seem like it gets cleaned very often.

I have visited Dongpo Kitchen several times now and it has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants in City Walk. The food is so delicious that I can't wait to return. I have to get the spicy dumplings and Kung pao chicken every time! Today I tried the honey green iced tea which was delicious, but sadly no refills. The restaurant is relaxing with its lovely decor, but also has fun music playing. The only negative is that there were only 2 waitresses working and they did not do a great job. The waitress who took my order came off a little rude, the wrong food items kept being brought to my table and I was sitting with an empty glass for at least 5 minutes before I had to call one of the waitresses over. I plan to try new things each time I visit, but I hope the service improves.

Don't let the restaurant's exterior woo you in, this place is average. We had Kung Pao Chicken (best part were the peanuts), the Xiaolongbao (pretty tasty but nothing spectacular), and chicken fried rice (bland, unseasoned). The service was friendly enough and the environment was open and modern but too bright. The vibe doesn't mesh well with the cuisine. Even more confusing was the loud R&B music (circa 2002) that played the entire time. Each dish was about $18-22. I expected more from this place.

I recently checked out Dongpo Kitchen, and it's totally beyond my expectation! As soon as I walked in, the vibe was inviting, making the whole afternoon memorable. The staff was not just nice but also knew their menu, hooking me up with some suggestions and answering our allergy queries. The food at Dongpo was good. Every dish felt fresh, blending flavors and textures in a way that just hit the spot. They nailed the presentation too. And about the menu – loads of choices for different tastes. What got me hooked was the quality of the food. Whether it was a tasty starter, a spot-on main course, or a sweet treat, Dongpo Kitchen left a lasting taste in my mouth. And the service was good. Quick, friendly, and you could tell they were genuinely stoked about giving an awesome dining experience.I'd totally recommend it to anyone up for a good dining experience. Me and my family really enjoyed this restaurant.Keep it up!

I wish I would have checked the reviews before eating here about a month ago. I visited for lunch and when I arrived the restaurant was empty. The wonton soup I ordered was good but slightly undercooked which I inevitably paid the ultimate price for later. The beef scallion pancake was not served on a traditional scallion pancake but on a regular tortilla which I was not informed of when ordering, and not matching the picture on the menu which was very disappointing. The passion fruit iced tea was the star of my lunch. The restaurant is very cute and has potential but the food quality and service could use some work.
