I am loathe to give less than three stars unless a business / place / service really lets me down. Charlie's was on the bubble of getting into 2 1/2 star territory. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt as an indy restaurant on a cute street in the historic part of Upland.
This is grub pub cuisine, Nothing fancy here. Appitizers are 90% fried. That being said, the chicken wings were quite good. I got the lemon peppered wings with a side of spicy buffalo sauce. That sauce is really good!. Medium spicy hot with just enough tang.

A big fan of the drink prices here, especially during happy hour. Very clean restaurant! Lots of big screen tv's all about the place including outside on the veranda. Yes you can go outside and smoke on the patio w/your adult beverage. Have not tried any food items so review is strictly on the location and H.H. I will go back for Margaritas during H.H.
