Love this place for years now. Everything is fantastic. But the one thing I cannot deny almost every time I pass this place, which is regularly, is the fried zucchini. Outstanding. The ratio of zucchini to batter is perfect in my opinion.

Good old style diner food and setting. It's a little older but they have very good prices.
My wife and I pick up food here fairly often, it's our go to place when we don't want to cook at home. We have enjoyed the patty melt, chicken sandwich, steak sandwich, bacon cheeseburger, onion rings, french fries, chili fries, zucchini fries and others I don't remember. The food is always good and the price is right. It's very nice to have a place to get good food and not feel like you're being ripped off. As long as they keep this philosophy going, we'll keep coming.

Wow I've lived in Montclair for over 4 years this is my first time going to connells. I'll definitely be back. I had a bacon avocado cheeseburger with onions tomato lettuce. I also had the zucchini fries and they give you plenty of ranch dip to dip them in. The batter was very flavorful. I had a Pepsi with lime lemon and Cherry syrup. I spent a little less than $10.
