Love Chef Chene. The food is always great, his pot stickers are bomb. It's our go to place for chinese.

Disgusting and expensive. I would not recommend nor ever go back. Last time I listen to the community Facebook page for advice or recommendations

If I could give negative stars I would. Everything was cold and terrible. Tasteless. One of the worst spots in Vacaville. How did I pay over $89 for bland fried rice, tasteless chow fun, a watery soup with nothing in it, 5 shrimp and literally the worst sweet and sour chicken... Everything went right into the trash. I will not be wasting my money here again.

We used to dine here regularly and order to go or delivery but after this last experience NEVER again!!! All of our food was EXTREMELY SALTY!!! I mean how do you mess up Chow mein and fried rice?? My husband had to drive all the way back and when he arrived and told them it was too salty, they told him it wasn't! They then proceeded to tell him that nobody else complained about the food. After arguing with him, they said they would remake the food without salt. At this point my husband just wanted a refund for the dishes that were inedible (I'm talking like those prank videos you see where people put a scoop of salt on the spoon with the food they want someone to taste). They were hesitant and told him that they are losing out on food costs!!! Ever since management changed, this place has gone down hill with service and the food quality that they produce. I would suggest going to China House in downtown vacaville, Bao 88(more for dim sum but they have bomb chow mein and fried rice), or Noodle or Rice. The price point is pretty much the same but you will be getting way better quality and service! Lesson learned.

I’ve ordered some chow fun and fried rice here and it was the saltiest food I’ve ever ate. It definitely does not taste the same as the first time I ordered this same exact dish. I normally never leave reviews unless they’re positive but this was such a disappointment.

This food was absolutely horrible. We threw it in the trash and cried. Never ever ever order from here. EVER.

*attached photos were after devouring our meal Hidden Gem with Vegan offerings. When looking for food in vacaville, we decided to check out the menu. The Manager Bryan was amazing and knowledgeable. He found several options for us and was very patient in researching the ingredients. We enjoyed veggie egg rolls (no egg in wrapper) Veggie Chow Fun ( chow mein noodles have egg) and veggie friend rice with no egg. For our mains my Fiancé got the sweet and sour tofu and I got the hot garlic eggplant (fried in cornstarch) . We cant wait to work our way around the veg options. Highly;) Recommend if you need some good ass chinese food on a rainy night. PS the fortune cookies are safe too .

I work across the street from this business, they are my go to for a quick bite. Their red peach wonton soup is very savory and all their lunch specials are on point!

Food is excellent. You can tell chef pays attention to each dish to make it unique in flavor. The service is outstanding. Our host/waitress was friendly and explained in detail what each dish wash. The ambiance is warm and friendly. This place is very clean and spacious.

Food was terrible. Won Tons in soup had a very different taste. Chicken fried rice had no chicken in it and rice was soggy.

I had to return back to the restaurant because of an issue that I had with my order. It’s a far drive too. I am not writing my negative review because of that. I was willing to let that go because they said over the phone to just come back and get a new order to make up for it. The issue was that when I returned to the restaurant which was very inconvenient the cashier person was rude and didn’t acknowledge my presence. Not even an apology for the inconvenience. On top of that my tray was left on the counter without a bag for me to pick up. Was going to ask for some extra condiments because they didn’t even put that many in my order to begin with. I was just standing there and the cashier person was ignoring me while on the phone so there was no way to ask. Was the restaurant expecting me to just take the tray without a bag? Had to ask for one and that seemed like it was a lot to ask for. I have been dining here for years under different ownership and even brought them new customers through word of mouth but I won’t be going to this place ever again.

Customer service was phenomenal and the food was delicious! The chow mein was thick noodles that were cooked and seasoned perfectly and I highly recommend. Definitely going to come back next time I'm in

I loved the food here, I recently went in again and seems like the food recipes are getting switched up or aren’t being made like before. I’m a little upset because this was the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. Also the sir who attended me had sneezed into his hands twice and didn’t sanitize. The first time I said to myself okay it’s okay he’ll probably get some hand sanitizer but I was wrong, he then continued to touched my card and charged my card and then again sneezed into his hands again and touched my card one again to hand to me. Makes me think how many other times he’s done that and wonder if it’s happened in the kitchen where all the food is being prepared or even when packing or serving.

I've had better especially for the price. I wont be coming here again. It seems like no one sits inside and it's not welcoming at all. It was exceptionally fast service which I liked but the quality was questionable.

I would not recommend this restaurant at the prices they advertise. I'll break it down for you. 1) They advertise a coupon for a certain dollar amount spent. The catch is, it's not what you spend. It's the subtotal, so after you spent...or spent nearly $100 worth of food, I didn't qualify because it didn't include the $30+ fees, taxes and tip that was added on. After I complained that the online menu does not specify this process and that I was basically being scammed, they offered to throw in a free entree/side. 2) The food was too garlicky. Way too much garlic with everything. Way too much cabbage in the egg rolls, vegetable rolls, and wong tong soup. The food made my stomach turn about 15 minutes into the meal. Bottom line. It's not worth the value. Panda Express has better quality at better prices to be honest. Chef Chen is not a place I would recommend or frequent a second time.
