Had 11 am breakfast there, steak and eggs. Though the service was slow (seemed like only 1 waitress for entire place), the food was excellent. 5 stars all the way!

3 stars because our waitress was rude. The food was excellent! Great job to the chefs. But as for our waitress I was stunned, she came by and asked what we wanted to drink, mind you I have never been here before so I said we are still looking and smiled and she said "uhhh ok" looking confused and then walked away. We sat there for 15 minutes she was walking past our table multiple times and intentionally skipping us. I'm usually pretty generous with tips but due to her customer service I only gave her $5 I will definitely not be back!

Came here on a Saturday morning while traveling. Wait time wasn’t too bad, about 10 minutes with a few groups a head of us. We got sat at a table in an awkward area, but they were able to give us a booth afterwards. My dad and brother had the California Benedict, and I have the breakfast sandwich. The food was good. The only major complaint was that there were sketchy thrifters hanging around the parking lot.

Went here on our way to Automobile Museum. This place was really busy. Took about 30 minutes to get our order. Our server gave us free drinks due to the long wait. The food is super tasty. I would have given 5 stars, but the wait was too long.
The breakfast is generally pretty good. I ventured off course and got lunch. Got the fried chicken sandwich. It was OK at best. The chicken patty was highly processed pressed chicken parts. Disappointing.The menu has a lot of variety, but I'll stick with breakfast from now on. My niece got eggs, hashbrowns, corned beef hash, and biscuit and gravy. The gravy wasn't my favorite (tasted like flour and milk mostly), but the rest was superb.There is a weird sewery smell when you first walk in. I noticed it the other time i went a few years ago.Service is always good. The servers are super nice and welcoming. I think they are a big reason people love this place.

We decided to go get breakfast this am and decided to go to Mel's. It was not busy at all only 3 tables, got there and waitress told us to sit anywhere. So we did and she never came by, I was curious of what's going on after 20 mins, nothing. She didn't even come and give us menu or anything. I said let's go, we walked out and we saw her at the front wiping the table. We walked out and she even said goodbye. Never ever going here again, bad service and the floors all sticky.

Disappointed to say the least. Once seated (only me and my 11 year old), it took maybe 15 min before they brought us a kids menu. Then we ordered drinks twice, since they forgot. 20min after that, they brought the drinks. Ordered: child's pancakes, and I ordered a bagel and a side of bacon. 30 min later we got our food. Went to pay, and noticed my bill was almost $40 they charged for an adult breakfast and a jumbo soda.. Again my child ordered from the child's menu. They only took $2 off .. which still is higher than what we're supposed to pay. Annoyed that we were there for over an hour I just paid and left. Unfortunately I will probably never come back. Lack of service and up charging is crazy here.
