Vallejo's best kept secret in Pinoy cuisine. For the moment you enter you can smell the flavors of the Philippines. The food is visually displayed on a steam table. All types of delicious items to choose from. I LOVE most Asian foods. Korean,Thai, Lao, Japanese, Chinese PINOY being my least favorite BUT Cabalen Filipino Cuisine has changed that.

It's 2023 folks - no weekend breakfast buffet, but a very nice lady behind a counter where you can see all the offerings. Starts with a big serving of garlic rice [very good], then you choose 2 - I got the homemade corned beef [with a little "hash", also very tasty] and the ginniling [Ground meat and veggies - again, quite tasty] plus two cooked eggs [and she gave me a free little taste of the champrado (chocolate rice pudding) - not my thing]. for $14 + $1 for instant coffee + CC charge, taxes & tip for a total of $18. All helpings above were quite hardy, and you won't go away hungry. Different than Denny's and I'd go back if I am in the area again.Vegetarian options: Not really. Garlic rice.Parking: Shopping center parking, easyWheelchair accessibility: Curb cut, long ramp up to door, no other issues

The regulars are wonderful people and so is the staff! They also let you have tasters, which is great when you can't interpret the menu. ? The lineup changes very day, so don't be afraid to experiment!

Didn't like it. It's not very appealing to the eye. I was looking forward to lumpia. They were tiny and had no taste. The pork skewers were good though.

I was soooo looking forward to trying this place out because I loooove lumpias. So I finally had some time to stop by and ordered a 12pc lumpia to go. When I got home I couldn't wait to dig in and indulge myself in what I was craving for, for a long time. When I opened the box, to my dismay the lumpias were ice cold. Literally cold as if they were just taken out of the refrigerator. Now mind you when I ordered them the lady who was behind the counter serving it to me did not mention that they were cold and needed to be heated. The lumpias were in a tray along side the rest of the food that people were ordering, so I just presumed they were nice and hot and ready to devour lol. After heating them in the oven for about 5 to 8 minutes, I immediately noticed that these lumpias were not like the typical lumpias I've had before and come to love. These were very bland in taste and had a rubbery/dry texture. I was so disappointed. More than likely, I won't be back.

The servers are very nice! The portions are large if you eat there and get boxes to go later. We ordered 2 item entrees; tocino, jeprox, longanisa, tapa, bangus. We also ordered a side of suimai and Biko Pandan jello. My kids enjoyed mostly everything. We definitely asked for boxes to take the rest of the food home. It was such a hearty meal to start the day!

Food is cafeteria style, so not freshly cooked. The one time I ordered halo-halo they did not have the Ube flavor that I wanted, I left disappointed.

Amazing titas and manangs behind the counter making amazing classic Filipino staples. These are mostly for traditional party foods but everything looks and smells delicious.

Relocated by Seafood City. If you can find it it's because it is located on the other end of the lot right next to DDs. Closed the first Tuesday of the month.

What a great find. Generous portions, good food, very reasonably priced. The chicken adobo was great, I also had a beef stew, not sure what it was called but man it was good.
