First off, the food was phenomenal. The entire staff was “Top Notch!” Our server, the busboy and food and beverage manager were the upmost professionals. They worked extremely hard to ensure my wife had a wonderful birthday dinner!! I can't thank you all enough! Great dinner/birthday night out for us.

I am so disappointed with our server and the so-called "Seafood Tower." It was not worth the $69. The biggest letdown was our server, Mel, who we rarely saw - maybe twice in a 1 hour period. We ordered a drink with our meal and never got it. We asked 2 other servers about it, and they said the order was not put in, so they tried to locate Mel. When Mel finally came to the table to inquire about how we were, I told him I never got my drink, he pointed to the empty glass, which I brought in from the bar, and asked isn't that the drink? My entire party was taken aback by Mel's insinuation that I was trying to get a free drink. When he was told that we brought that in and he should've noticed that when we sat down, he simply ignored our comments. Further, he went to the bar and asked them if we bought drinks. Such amateur, low class behavior. Mel should be re-trained if he was trained at all. It was strange that when we first sat down, he said, "Oh, my regulars." Which we were not. In any event, we never saw him again until it was time for the check. I must mention the hugely disappointing Seafood Tower for 2. In fact, it was not a "tower" but a measly plate comsisting of 2 shrimps, one narrow lobster, one narrow crab leg, and 2 of the smallest oysters I've ever seen. Barely enough for 1 person. I wish I did not order it. It seems they try to fill you up with stale bread so you don't complain about the measly portions and inflated prices. Utter disappointment does not describe my experience.

As always, B&B never disappoints! This truly is the best steakhouse in this county IMO! The steak was perfection, the lobster tail huge!, tender shrimp, succulent king crab. Desserts are artful and amazing, a shame to cut into! Service is stellar and WELL WORTH over tipping!! Parking galore, free of course! MUST make reservations!!

We had such an amazing meal and lovely evening. Our server Mel did an amazing job. He was very friendly and attentive. Ev who assisted us also was so friendly and sweet. Black and Blue is our favorite steak house and splurge spot. They never disappoint. The filet is always amazing. My wife loved her melon salad.

This was our second visit here. Celebrating Valentine's Day. 3 course meal was xlnt. Filet was perfect. Bread was awesome. Soup was tasty. Smashed garlic potatoes with veggies was flavorful. Baked Alaskan was the bomb. Can't wait to return for next special occasion. One more thing. Ordered coffee. French press at your table. Wow! Best coffee I've had.

We've been there many times but this was for Valentine's Day. They had the option of a preset menu which I chose. The Caesar salad was just enough with tangy dressing. The seabass was delicious. We shared the dessert which was chocolate cake and it was very good. My husband had shrimp cocktail as a starter and he said it was among the best ever and then the filet which he said was good. Overall just a delicious meal and excellent service!

Dinner was lovely as usual. We requested a booth and they had a nice cozy corner for us. No wait, though we did gave a reservation. Our server Tim was right on spot with the towels and mini appetizer tray. Took our drink order, and we actually ordered right away knowing what we wanted. Hubby had filet and I had the salmon. We order off the $69. 3 course menu. Never disappoints! We recommend them often. Anytime we're looking for a great steak, this is our go to steakhouse!

Last year we were her for dinner and the waitress introduced herself and explained the menu. Also when the dish with cheese etc she even explained it. All we talked about what a great meal we had in Jan 2023 and looked for ward to it. This year the waiter never introduced himself and explained nothing. The dish that was put down with cheese/olive/nuts/ not explained and they were different. My husband had the soup and the cheese on top was a glob. Waiter just said it like an onion soup. Not mushy crouton and glob of cheese on top. When our main course brought which were steaks.the waiter did not come right away to check if the steaks were cooked to our liking. 1/2 way through the course he came by and said everything ok and I said my husband steak is over cooked. He said I can get you another one it not a big deal. My husband said no as he did not want me to eat alone. The waiter said it will only take 2 minutes to fix. If it was not a big deal to fix it why was it such a big deal to do it correct the first time. When we ordered dessert the waiter asked if any one wanted coffee. My husband said yes. The waiter never asked me if I wanted a refill maybe because I was just the wife. The waiter immediately got the coffee and French pressed it to hard as my husband had coffee grinds in his cup. We understand it was busy because we had a reservation for 5:45 and had to wait. Not sure why you take reservations if not on time. Also it seemed like your staff was running around between tables . Not the atmosphere I would expect at a fine dining steak house and not the atmosphere we had a year ago. To say this year was every underwhelmed is saying it mildly. We had plan to come twice this time but I have said no. I am very glad this was not the experience we had last year but did not expect such a different experience year over year.

My wife and I love coming here for the chef nick's special whether we're celebrating an occasion or just for the heck of it. The staff is ways very attentive and the food is great. Our waitress has been “Star” a few times and she always does an awesome job.

Was louder than we remembered. Food was ok, filet steak was really tender, but well done, not medium. However I did nt request to send it back. rest of entrees were ok, but not extra special. was disappointed in the cheesecake. It was not good, but was more of a cheesecake mousse than a real cheesecake that I was expecting. the chocolate mousse dessert was ok. the vanilla pistacio souffle was ok, but didn't really have any nut flavor. would have liked to have pot of water for tea, and my dinner companions be offered additional coffee, but everything was one cup and done. Service was very good.

This was the best restaurant food that we've had while staying in valley center. The food was excellent, the server/ waitress was amazing. We had the three course special. The price couldn't be beat anywhere. We'll be back when we're in this area. Side note , the ambience and table setting was well thought out. We really enjoyed our night out.

I've been several time's to this restaurant. If I hadn't I would never be back. I'm going to choose to believe it was just a bad service night. But, when you drop $400+, your service should be impeccable. Food was amazing, exception my steak was not medium rare, more towards medium rare/medium rare well. ?

It was an AMAZING experience!! The homemade bread was a hit! Prime Rib and mashed potatoes was unbelievable delicious. The waiters pleased us above and beyond. Great atmosphere - i saw happiness and satisfaction in every single person sitting around us . I definitely want to go back and visit again.

A fabulous place to get the three course dinner special. Everything was outstanding except that our filet mignons were not that tasty. We had ordered them at a prior visit and they were the best fillets we ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is extra special.

We love Black and Blue Steakhouse, not only because the food is excellent, but because the wait staff is friendly, helpful, and fun. They really cater to their diners and make sure you have a good experience. Also...the home made bread is delicious and their deserts are amazing!
