Firefly just catered our wedding and the food and service were all phenomenal. Especially grateful to Marina, who worked with us and was more on top of things than our planner - I regret not going through Firefly to handle our rentals etc as well. Marina was meticulous and helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our wedding was actually perfect. The food itself was fantastic. Like many reviewers here note, I had several guests tell me the food was the best wedding food they'd had. There was great attention to detail. We had two passed apps, the bacon gougeres and the saffron risotto balls, and for our main we had a family style meal of salad with goat cheese and pears, flat iron steak, herb roasted chicken, and a gemelli pasta with oyster mushrooms, squash, tomatoes and fresh herbs. My sister-in-law said the pasta is now her favorite pasta. We took leftovers home and enjoyed them for days after. My new husband and I loved our leftovers so much we took some on the road during our minimoon. Firefly is not inexpensive, but they are competitive for this level of food and service, and they took our budget into account when creating the menu and estimate. They were flexible about us bringing in oysters during the cocktail hour, as well as our own cake and cutting/ serving for guests. I would recommend going in with as accurate a guest count as possible (or estimating low and then adding if need be) because they can be somewhat firm about numbers - my understanding is some other catering companies are more flexible in that regard. That said, I would still wholeheartedly recommend them for your next event. I hope we have a celebration we can use them for again!

If you're considering Firefly Catering for your wedding, do it! I cannot say enough good things about them. My catering manager was Marina and she was an absolute doll and really stuck her neck out for me on more than one occasion to ensure I had the absolute best day ever (which I did!) She is a true industry pro and I knew I was in good hands with her throughout the entire process - she is honest and straightforward and you really need that when you're planning a wedding. I also had the pleasure of getting to know the owner Shona and her husband who are also absolutely lovely people. Shona went out of her way to provide a tasting to us outside of her normal schedule and really listened to our wants and needs. She is always positive, warm and friendly and she made us feel so special on our big day. Now, for the food! My husband and I continue to say that our wedding food was one of our top 3 favorite meals, ever. We were so blown away at the tasting and they did not disappoint on the day of - in fact the food might have been even better on the big day! We served pork sliders, crab cakes and bruschetta at the happy hour and chicken parm, tri tip and potato and vegetable gnocchi at the reception (I'm drooling just writing this). I had (and am still having) handfuls of people come up to me and tell me it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. I was also so impressed with the level of professionalism Shona, Marina and their whole team showed on the day of. They were there on time, the staff was so warm and friendly and everything went off without a hitch - they made it look effortless! So if you haven't booked them, you absolutely should, they were worth every single penny and more

My wife and I were ready to spend way too much money on OK food just because we needed to serve something at our wedding. Our last scheduled tasting was with Firefly and we were not expecting much after all the other tastings we attended. Then we ate the food. SO GOOD! Spring was excellent to work with and we've never heard so many compliments for a catered meal before. Would book again, and have recommended to others already. Check them out!

Spring and Shona are the best! We had our wedding at the Valley Ford Hotel and things couldn't have gone more perfectly. We worked with Spring over the course of a year for planning and she was always super kind, helpful, and supportive of our ideas and wishes. I didn't hire a planner, but Spring walked me through all of the decisions and made it easy. (Especially for since I've never planned a large event, let alone a wedding before). We stayed two nights at the VFH and had a fairly large (35 person) rehearsal dinner and a last minute 20 person brunch there on Sunday. In addition to our 75 guest wedding. Every single moment was perfect. The hotel was cozy and inviting and Shona and Brad made us feel like we were all just part of the family. The staff was alsi very courteous, professional and extremely organized in executing on the day of. The food is beyond compare. EVERY. SINGLE. DISH! All of our guests were complimenting the food and the venue, and I still feel as though I'm the luckiest girl in the world to have stumbled upon this absolute gem. Thank you so much for making our entire weekend even better than we had dreamed of!

Firefly Catering did the food for both our wedding at Bloomfield Farms and the morning after brunch at Valley Ford Hotel. We were completely outdone by how amazing the food was. We had salmon with fresh tomatoes, fresh squash ravioli with pesto, a scrumptious salad, brisket with a green chimichurri sauce, The team was amazing - Shona ran the show and gave us hugs all along the way. The food was locally sourced and fresh. We tasted the food 8 months in advance and the food was just as delicious from the day we did the tasting to the day of the event. They were accommodating for food allergies, children, and every guest at our wedding (which was close to 130 people!). The food was superb, the wait staff was attentive and kind and every guest commented on how it was the best wedding food they have had. I would use them over and over again and feel so grateful for their service. Aside from all of the above, our wedding took place during the northern California wildfires - despite the tragedy around us, Firefly came through in every way possible.

I'm shocked this catering company only has 10 reviews. They catered my sisters wedding at Bloomfield farms and it blew all wedding food out of the water. Every single dish was amazing. The brisket was so buttery and delicious. The butternut squash with pesto was so warm and fresh. Just a true farm to table feel. All the appetizers for the cocktail hour were the perfect size and taste. Wrapped dates. Peaches and goat cheese. Ceviche toasts. YUM. Lastly. The peach and berry cobblers. I can't. Just amazing. Every person told me that it was the best wedding food.

Hiring Firefly Catering was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. From the first conversation, it was clear that they wanted to get a sense for what was important to me, and executed flawlessly. Our food was delicious - a month later people are still telling us it was the best food they've had at a wedding. Everything was seasonal and local. We also requested gluten free (my husband has celiac's disease) and minimal dairy - so when you're guests don't miss gluten you know the caterer was incredible. And when the food came out, we had it served family style, there was more than enough for all the guests, they brought out seconds if tables wanted them, and everythign was the PERFECT temperature. They even made sure that during the cocktail hour, my husband and I were eating! Spring Bandy was our main contact - and she was so sweet. Also - our venue was unique - barn, cocktail hour in a field, and they handled all the challenging catering components during a blistering heat wave! I can't say enough positive things about them :) .

Firefly catered my wedding for ~85 guests in July at Charles Krug Winery in St. Helena. I could not have been more thrilled with having Spring and her team help make my wedding so special. Literally, everyone that I spoke with about the food said they never had better food at a wedding (win!). The Firefly team was on point during the event and Spring was an amazing person to work with in crafting the perfect menu to coordinating all of the little details leading up with the wedding and ensuring a smooth service. Firefly Catering provided food and beverage for my wedding at Chileno Valley Ranch. Spring was an absolute pleasure to work with and made the whole process so easy. She coordinated all of the rentals that we needed and accommodated all of our strange requests (providing our own table runners and napkins; making our own desserts, but having the catering staff serve them; providing special meals to individuals with dietary restrictions even though we opted for family style service; etc.). It's not easy to make delicious food when you're serving 100+ people in a ranch barn, but Firefly made it seem like a breeze. All of the dishes were better than we remembered them from our tasting, and the drinks looked beautiful and tasted amazing. We had numerous people provide unsolicited feedback that it was the best food they'd had at a wedding. The service was perfect, and the whole evening went by without any hiccups. If you're looking for a team that can provide incredibly high quality, locally-sourced, California-style cuisine, you've found the right catering group.

Firefly was amazing. We had them cater a hog roast BBQ for a 50th birthday party for 100 guests in Healdsburg and they did an amazing job. The chef Brandon, the planner Spring, and the entire staff were as good as it gets. We can't thank them enough for making our event so memorable. They were just flat out great.

We used Firefly to cater our wedding at Redwood Hill Gardens in Sebastopol. They did a great job and we were really happy with the outcome of the wedding meal (served 85 people in family-style). The tasting went well (the restaurant is worth checking out, cool place) and the food was very consistent with what we had expected. My wife and some guests had some dietary requests around gluten & dairy, and they did a great job of working a menu around that with ample options for them and still having plenty of the good stuff for those guests that eat it all. Communicated really well in advance, and they were super helpful in coordinating with the rental company as well. Serving staff was super nice, made sure to show extra attention to the wedding party and making sure everyone got appetizers during the pictures and stuff like that. Super happy with Firefly and really thankful we used them.

I can't say enough about this place... Spring is amazing and wonderful to work with. We had Firefly cater my daughter's wedding, our guest can't stop talking about how delicious the food was. The food was presented beautifully. The chef is the best, he came out and introduced himself to my daughter and son in law during their tasting. The staff is friendly and work hard. The day after the wedding we went to the restaurant for brunch and the chef came out to see how the bride and groom were doing. If you are looking for a caterer this is the place you want for your next event!!

Firefly Catering did a stunning job for our wedding, which we held onsite at the Valley Ford Hotel. We wanted our guests to enjoy fantastic fresh California food - and they're still raving about it! Everything was local and delicious, from the boozy snow cones they made for before the ceremony (made with local SpiritWorks Distillery sloe gin) to the oysters, deviled eggs, padron peppers, and grilled cheeses during cocktail hour. We put together a custom buffet for dinner that blew everyone away, from meatlovers to vegans. We can't recommend Firefly enough.

I recently threw an open house for about 70 people. Firefly catered the event and they were FANTASTIC. The food was a huge hit and the setup and service was outstanding. Thanks for an excellent event!
