Ordered family style kabobs and rice with various side dishes, and everything was great! Tender and juicy meats! Plenty of rice to share! Yogurt with cucumber, yogurt with shallot and shirazi salad are terrific, plus Persian flat bread for dipping. I would definitely go back.Parking: Giant shopping center parkingKid-friendliness: Food for all agesWheelchair accessibility: Easy access

This is my go-to spot. Delicious and amazing value. Personally I’d recommend the #3, substitute one of the flavored rices. So on point!!!

First time trying this place found in tic toc and it was very very good and fresh. We tried the chicken barg which comes with lots of basmati rice and grill yomato and side of chirazi salad and turchi. Everything was good and fresh. Now the prices are low compared with restaurants. Also the food included zangok bread not the cheap pita bread. For sure we are coming back to try other dishesThis place is better thanAtlas mediterranean in simi valleyRafis in glendaleShiraz in topangaPita grill in thounsand oaksThis is my own opinionTry it you will love it

Located inside of Jons this place is a Persian food paradise. Tons of cooked hot food ready to be served and juicy made to order kabobs. Some kabobs such as the beef koobideh and chicken breasts are halal but others are not. We tried the beef koobideh which was juicy and delicious! The Joojeh kabob (thigh meat) on other hand was dry and I would not order again. I loved the bhagali Pulao!! Super delicious! We also tried the koko sabzi and potato cutlet and didn't really like either. Overall this place is great with a ton of choices and reasonable price. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing food! I suggest you order in advance, because it can get a little busy and it might be a 15-20 minute wait because they cook the meat fresh.Parking: Inside of John's marketplace, on the right side of the store once you walk in!Wheelchair accessibility: This international grill is inside of a traditional large grocery store with easy access for all

I was first put off by the steam table. But you shouldn't let this bother you. Kebabs were some of the best I've had...cooked to order. In the area next to this place, a bakery is making fresh lavash which is served with the meals. Unexpected bonus!! The to go business was brisk too. The value was definitely five star+. Don't want to say too many good things or else this gem will be overrun!

Sometimes I like to keep hidden gems like this secret in fear of people discovering their amazingness and it getting to busy lol but wow, this place is on another level. Been eating Persian food and Mediterranean food my entire life and all I can say is this place is on the top top of my list. The staff is the best part. Whoever manages this place, keeps this employees very happy because they're always so pleasant and eager to please. I absolutely love every single item on their menu and not even home cooking tastes this good. Please don't ever change!!!! I love you guys!!!

KOOBIDEH's price jumped $7.00 (#13) and few months after that got shorter and thinner. So you pay half for what you use to get. Food is delicious but the price not anymore.

There's not much for ambience for this Persian/Iranian restaurant because it's located inside a Jons grocery store. It's in a mini food court shared with the Armenian Sasoun Bakery, which looks like where they get their fresh sangak (bread).I asked for the recommended items and they recommended their kabobs. They have some non-Persian food for those who are not "adventurous" eaters or open to trying Persian cuisine. You'll want to eat the beef koobideh with the saffron rice and sangak bread. Maybe pickup French butter and cheese at Jons to eat with your bread. I have yet to eat sangak inside a Persian restaurant so was super excited. I usually buy an entire pack at Persian bakeries to eat it.Since it was a rainy day, I ordered the ghormeh sabzi as an additional side dish. You'll probably want to order the Persian eggplant spread, kashk bademjan, which I didn't get to order because I thought the soup was already too much.Their chicken koobideh was way too salty, almost inedible. I had to eat it with rice to tone it down. I would skip this next time unless the cook had a one-off heavy hand with the salt for my order. This is a solid option for healthy Persian food in the Van Nuys and Lake Balboa area. You can grab a more interesting beverage at the supermarket (pay at the Jons self checkout) to have with your meal while you wait for your kabobs.

Very good Iranian kabobs and good portion sizes. Price was also fair compared to nearby kabob places.

Located in Jon's grocery store to the right. If you are in a rush (maybe even hangry) and want Mediterranean food, this is a good spot! The ingredients are fresh and the food was good.

I hate when the food is so good that you forget to take pictures!!! I've had Iranian food a few times at kebob places and a couple Iranian friends homes. I am shocked at how good the good was here. So wholesome and cooked with love. Surprising for a grocery store deli! I had saffron rice, gormeh sabzi, kookoo sabzi, russian eggplant and lentil stew. It came with a wonderful flatbread that was browner and had lots if sesame seeds compared to the round white pitas you usually get with food from nearby countries. Every thing was delicious and ill be able to make at least 4 more meals out of these portions. I just happened to be at the Kaiser nearby for an appointment. This isnt my usual neighborhood. But if it was, i would eat here all the time.
