Update: The restaurant has apparently closed down. Tried to order through door dash and when I went to pick it up, the neighboring kitchens told me they had gone out of business. We had the big dog poutine and the slow beef kush and both were delicious! The poutine was especially outstanding. All poutines I've had since then at other places have paled in comparison. We spoke to the owner when we picked up our food and he was so nice. Definitely excited to make this one of our regular spots.

I ordered from them few days ago and the order went through but after 45 min the order was cancelled from Doordash without a valid reason , after few hours on the same day I ordered again from them and after 30 min my doordash guy called me from the store telling me that nobody there and it was closed??? so guys make sure that this business is working before letting us order from them???!!!

I tried calling their number at 8pm on a Thursday and the call would not go through. Figuring their phone was dead I placed an order through Doordash and started heading over to pick up their food. After 15 minutes when I was almost there they cancelled my order saying the business was closed. If they are closed they need to update their hours as every food app and Yelp says they are open. Waste of time ordering here.

Yeah. I'm not sure what this is. It is a mish mosh of food placed together. Flavors don't compliment one another and the meat shavings are minimal

Amazing food! A literal slice of Egypt in the valley. Great portion sizes as well. Definitely will be back for more!

The food may or may not be great. I don't know. They canceled my order before I got it. An hour before the time they said they were not taking any orders. I was a new customer ( even said so). Not a way to run a business

It's a bit awkward being the first somewhat negative review, but I had at most a three star experience. I ordered the slow beef poutine and the shrimp kush. The biggest issue was that the kush came cold, it ruined that dish for me. I had to reheat it. It was confusing because the poutine temp was fine. The poutine tasted nice, I did enjoy it, however it did have some problems... The beef felt low quality, there was a lot of mushy fat that I did not enjoy. There was a lot of unmelted cheese as well.. Not a big deal but not great. I love that there is unique food being offered near me, I was excited to give this place a try and I'm glad I did, but I don't know if I'd eat here again. --- Sorry but I just realized they didn't give me shrimp like I ordered, it's some kind of meatball...????

Whoa. This food is DELICIOUS. I ordered a chicken kush bowl and I am blown away by the aroma and flavor. I will definitely be ordering again! Just a suggestion to make this 4.8 star a 5 star: please remove the cardamom seeds! Otherwise it's perfect.

Heard about this place from a friend who would not stop raving about the amazing experience they had with their take out order. We ordered several items to have family style. We got the Chicken Kush, Shrimp Puff Kush, Slow Beef Kush, Chicken Poutine & King Ground Poutine. Everything was wonderful. The Slow Beef was very tender & flavorful. The chicken is well seasoned & delicious. My husband hates shrimp but he said he would try it. He could Not stop eating the shrimp puff. He absolutely loved it. All 3 of the Kush plates were great.Now to the Poutine..... Wow!! You can't stop eating it. I can't decide which was my favorite the chicken or ground beef. They were both that good. There was the perfect amount of melted cheese & delicious gravy.We called Kushary Kitchen directly to place our order & picked it up. There is a large parking lot on the corner of the street so parking was easy to find. We got the food directly from Eddie who was a very nice guy. We could see the kitchen area that was very clean & smelled amazing.We will definitely be ordering from them again & again...

Do I have a treat for your taste buds today!!! Allow me to happily introduce you all to @kusharykitchen , a new restaurant in Van Nuys specializing in Egyptian food (with a fun modern twist). North African/Egyptian food has been greatly influenced by a variety of regional flavors and cuisines and I feel like @kusharykitchen is doing a great job at celebrating all of those influences and bold flavors!! . . I ordered their Slow Beef Kush which is a medley of rice, lentils and pasta topped with garlic tomato sauce and combined with slow cooker braised beef. I also got the King Ground Poutine which comes with gold crispy fries topped with shredded mozzarella cheese melted with homemade gravy sauce and seven spices infused ground beef. The spices and flavors were bold and complementary, and the portion sizes were HUGE! Definitely shareable! Highly recommend checking them out and bring your appetite!!!
