The chicken was amazing in the po' boy. Aside from finding a little bone in it. We asked for the fries to be cooked well done and they were sadly soggy as can be and inedible. The fried shrimp and catfish on it was very yummy though and there were 12 pieces on it!! We also had the gumbo which my mom said was just "ok" and that she wished she had gotten the chicken. The cornbread was very tasty and thin. The baked beans had a ton of bbq sauce and were very sweet but eating it with the cornbread made it tasty. Overall I wouldn't recommend the fries as they're so soggy and nasty and be careful of bones in your sandwich

Yum! I really liked this place - their fried chicken had a slightly spicy batter but very tasty. I really like their black eye pea side, it was so flavorful with smoked turkey. Their hush puppies were pretty big and very tasty. Order ahead via phone and show up later than their expected time - their service is slightly slow.

Been wanting to try the oxtails at this joint. Finally did and it delicious! The oxtail were tender and the gravy just the right consistency. I got the MacNcheese and greens and they did not disappoint. I'll definitely be hittin this place up again! Nessa you were right .... Ish was bomb

The Gumbo fries go real crazy, and they weren't stingy with the shrimp. I also had some fried catfish that was really good. I've been here like three times and I'll keep coming back, the food and service is always on point.

Diggin it! Creole / Cajun and BBQ in one spot?! Sign me up. First time in...gettin at it! Tried a medley, Beef Ribs, (Tangy delish BBQ sauce) tender; Fried Chicken, cook just right, nice n crispy; "Fried" pork ribs. Crsipy n Goooood. Jambalya, seasoned extraordinarily. Black eyed peas and Collard Greens!!! Let's just say they ain't skimpy bout FLAVA! Unfortunately, hit it up 4th of July weekend, so out of a lot of menu items. Understandable. Darn. I gotta go back for mo?! Staff was helpful and friendly. Just the kinda spot you can call "home."

Not much I can say that hasn't already been said about Moms Haus, so the only thing I could tell you is that my taste buds were screaming all the way until I got back home: "¡GOOD GOD, HALLELUJAH & THANK YOU!" It was my first time attending this restaurant yesterday I ordered chicken greens macaroni and cheese and cornbread they omitted the cornbread from the order and each item that I ordered it was over S The chicken was undercooked with no crust I will never go back again well I'm dissatisfied.
Food was amazing!! Shrimp PoBoy, Collard Greens, & Blackeyed Peas. Yes, I drank the pot liquor too. Paris, made my day. She made me feel like I was home. I'm comin back for more!!

I was a regular patron of Mom's before it's new incarnation. The mac and cheese made from the previous owner's recipe was incredible, as well as the majority of the food. I've spent the past ten minutes reading the reviews and realize that most of the negative reviews are posted since it was acquired by new owners. I went yesterday for lunch and it was sadly, mediocre. The service was very good, I felt welcome, but the food was OK. Nothing spectacular. I had a beef BBQ sandwich. The bread was great, the slices of beef were good and the BBQ sauce was OK. Just OK. The mac and cheese was really a BIG let down. Too much black pepper, cheese was OK. Just OK. Bummer. I miss the old Mom's.

We heard this place was good, but it's better than good, it's excellent! Will be going again soon. They have lots of tables to dine in or sit outside. Great food with southern down home flavor!
