Had been wanting to try this place and happened to walk by so I decided to get a beef Salteña. They were super attentive and immediately started warming it up. It did not disappoint—the filling was juicy and the crust was flaky and buttery. Will be back for more! Especially their 2 for $8 salteña and $5 breakfast special (free coffee with $5 purchase).

Cute café on a quiet side street off a very busy Van Nuys Blvd. Friendly people... I had the chicken Saltena today. You could taste that its fresh dough. In fact, during my visit the cooks had their rolling pins in hand with fresh dough out on their boards. Will be back.

Delicious, authentic Bolivian food! The silpancho was huge but was extremely tasty! I also really enjoyed their saltenas, coffee, and empanadas. The conversation was really nice and the place was very warm and comfortable. :)

Wonderful chicken Saltenas. Really nice people. The place is small. Do you like hole-in-the-wall places? This defines that term. Great food, great people, tiny. Parking is another story. There is a structure two blocks to the east.

Hey Foodies! Have you tried salteñas? They are a unique Bolivian specialty. Pao's is the only place in town you can find these bad boys. Also highly recommend the sopa de maní.

Food was just ok not mind blowing. We ordered silpancho and pique a lo macho. Silpancho... well there's not much you can do to elevate it but pique a lo macho was bland and meat needed to be cooked a lot longer it was hard to chew. Salteñas were bomb!!! Staff was friendly and attentive. We'll be back for more salteñas. ?

When I tell you this is my happy place. I 100% am not lying. My family is from La Paz and Cochabama, and no other restaurant that serves salteñas compares to here. It is my home away from home. I love watching them make salteñas. It reminds me of my tias and abuela. It is worth the drive to get a little piece of home. The cost is great and the atmosphere is lovely. I drop at least $30 every time I go, and it's worth it.I bring my friends and they immediately love it!! Don't go anywhere else. A whole country and tradition live in that kitchen, and I love it!! ❤️
